I just looked at another site I post to occasionally (Suzuki Owners Club under the same nickname too).
I joined it 3 or 4 months before SH and I've now reached the huge posts total of 27, whereas I'm heading for 200 here.
For all those who sometimes stray outside SH, do you post as much as here or less?

Hayley,
Best wishes and thoughts to your daughter and you. Positive thought is a powerful thing and I'm sure that you will both get through this well.
As for the other problem, definitely take Blue's advice, Police involvement will almost certainly scare the swine off. If not, carry a camera with you and take their pictures to hand over to the authorities, I should think they'd want to avoid a full public exposure.

Welcome from me too, it won't take long to get to know people and you'll have lots of fun along the way. wink

this weekend a few newspapers ran a story on a woman that saw breeding as a job. The results of her "job" a free 6 bedroom house and £30k a year in benefits.

And you believe everything that's in the papers.......
Even if it is true it will be one of a very small number of instances.
This sort or reporting just works people up and foments dissatisfaction with a system that, in general, works for the benefit of people who deserve assistance, who are in their current situation through no fault of their own.

Think busting for a pee
Take that thought off to the bathroom, a bathroom in which the lightbulb has blown...........
Think sitting down and `letting go`...........
And follow this up with `how the hell am I going to get to my wardrobe without anyone noticing.................`

is this the voice of experience?
If so, did you manage to get to your wardrobe without your guests noticing? wink
Or is that a whole new story? lol

You'd be a great mod debbiewebs, however, I'd really have to insist on a regular arse-whipping from you, even if I didn't deserve it wink
Its too late for me to think of a response to Flirty Fruitcake's poem (and i'm embarrassed to admit that I did try), either that or my brain has turned to jelly again cos of the wine.

Id settle for the seat being put down, its so cold on my bum!!!

Well if you lived with me then I'd not only keep the loo lid down I'd also massage lots of warmth into your lovely bum too wink

Am I correct in thinking that its the lid, rather than the seat thats the issue?
If so then you could point out that rats in the sewers are more likely to be attracted by the light of an unlidded lavatory than one that is properly covered.
I know its a horrible thought, but its also true.

PS I have the same problem here, though the situation is reversed
I've been thinking about this for a good couple of hours, but don't expect anything clever wink just an honest answer.
I'm happy but not content.
What that means for me is that I'm kucky enough to have the 'happy gene'. Some people have it some don't!!!
There are things in my life I'd change (and I am working on them), some things about myself I'd change (also working on those - like always putting off boring stuff like doing the accounts).
There's a great big hole in my life that I would like to be sorted out, its going to take a long time for that one I think, but it will be solved - either I'll get over the heartache or the lady in question will come back to me (which I'm definitely working on, though very gently).
But in general, happy biggrin (I'm an eternal optimist)

Oh, Vix, I'm soooo jealous.
I haven't been on my bike for over two weeks since I came off it on a muddy road. I'm going stir crazy without it, and the repairers still haven't said when they'll have it ready

Wow, what a debate. Its certainly not a simple one either.
The welfare state is available to all as a safety net, the fact that one may not need it is immaterial and subject to good luck, or at least the absence of bad luck.
McGuinness has stated that he works, supports himself and pays all his taxes, direct and indirect, which is laudable and does him credit.
However, to be able to achieve that I assume he's had an education, unless he was privately educated then its probably fair to assume that the state (ie taxpayers at the time) funded that education, and if he went on to higher education its not a small sum of money. Therefore, he has had the benefit of taxes that others have paid before he was in a position to make any financial contribution himself.
Single parents, whether they be female or male, deserve support, parenthood is difficult enough as it is without having to do it alone and unsupported. Marya, MQ and anyone else in the same situation, I applaud you and the efforts you make.
Its true that often men leave their partners and children, but its equally true that many don't and even if they did they take responsibility for their children. I couldn't conceive of just abandoning mine in any way, be it financial, emotional or time based.
I've been unemployed in my time and a higher rate tax payer, there are always things that could be changed, it may be an imperfect system, it may be abused by some, but overall we are very lucky to have it and live in a place with stability and relative prosperity.
I hope that doesn't sound too pompous, its not meant to be smile

Everyone has the right to cancel, but equally, we're all bad at handling rejection.
Fortunately the majority of the SH regulars are adult enough to respect others feelings enough to make the effort to let the other party know whats going on.
But I think we're actually in the minority.

One of the reasons the swingers stories on this site is so popular (the read xxx times gives that away) is because it feeds the imagination so well.
And thats exactly what the wham bam porn film doesn't do. There's definitely a place for it though and I'm sure most of us enjoy that sort of imagery when it suits us.
There's an organisation in the UK called the Erotic Print Society and they really do publish some fantastic stuff if you enjoy reading erotic stories etc. I don't mean to tout for business for them; and I don't have any vested interest, but I reckon that it should be supported as another business thats doing something in the 'alternative lifestyle' arena in a really well thought out way and not purely to extract as much cash as possible from people.
As it is a commercial organisation I won't post the url here but if anyone is interested and can't find them then PM me and I'll pass on their details.
