Thanks for the reply Steve
Don't even get to that bit, the screen is just blank without any of the logon prompts and just a small paint icon in the top left. As though all of a sudden I cannot run the programme associated with the chatroom.
Dunno what's going on, but the PC has been very very slow lately (even though I'm on broadband). Gonna defrag and run a virus scan just to see.
Hi guys
Been on her a while now and for the last 3 days have been unable to access the chatroom.
Previously had no probs what so ever, and not sure what's changed if anything ?
I log in via the link on thr site and don't use mIRC, and when I've tried logging in lately all I get is a blank screen with what looks like a paint icon in the top left. Which if memory serves means I cannot access the function or its not being displayed correctly???
Whilst I'm no technophobe, this one has foxed me - any help greatly appreciated........
I hate Sundays.......normally it means either me or the other half has to go home, as we live over 200 miles from each other.
Makes us both look forward to the following weekend tho.......
Aha, well you know where we are Denise, although not under this name....check the ad out and you'll know....
C'mon girls...............there must be someone interested out there?
Not that we've met anyone as yet.......but we both have a view on this.
After talking about what may or may not happen should we be lucky enough to meet someone we decided on no kissing fro male to female, yet female to female would be ok
Might sound hypocritical, but if you're just meeting someone for some fun, then kissing them would bring a different level of intimacy to the relationship, and thats not the point of being here - after all, its fun and games we want.
Just our 2 pennies worth........
Just saw this article on the web - makes you wonder what on earth people will think up next:
Hi Steve
We'd like to think we are brave enough to finally show our face's - in the flesh so to speak. Please put us down as possible's and let us know the details - a lot depends on shift work and whereabouts we are - sometimes Essex and sometimes Yorks.
Cheers
In light of the recent post about a Top 10 Modern Films, thought it would be interesting to see people's lists on the "classic" films, not necessarily modern - more of the old epics that used to be churned out on a regular basis.
Anyways, for all it's worth - here's mine (the male half), in no particular order:
1. Ben Hur
2. The 300 Spartans - hoping they turn the book "Gates of Fire" by Stephen Pressfield into a movie. Rumour is it will be directed by Michael Mann with possible cast of either George Clooney or Bruce Willis as King Leonidus
3. Spartacus
4. Magnificent 7
5. Lawrence of Arabia
6. The Vikings
7. Metropolis
8. The Searchers
9. A Bridge too Far
10. The Time Machine - the original
Lots more I could think of.....some classic sci-fi movies that could also be included :Them, Forbidden Planet. Some of those above appeared in my original "modern" list, but hey - if you look at it, they are timeless......
Have to agree with you about the tune from Merry Xmas Mr Lawrence - fantastic, and on soooooo many chillout CD's I have.
In no particular order are my (the male half's) choice:
1. Shawshank Redemption
2. Bladerunner (Director's Cut)
3. The Big Blue (Version Longué)
4. Glory
5. The Searchers
6. Alien or Aliens - cannot make my mind up here...
7. The Green Mile
8. The Usual Suspects
9. LA Confidential
10. Dances with Wolves
Loads more I could probably add, just one look at my DVD collection and you've got 100's
Missed the likes of Spartacus, Gladiator, Platoon, Apocalypse Now (Redux), Terminator, Great Escape - oh the list is endless !!!!!!
Will ask the other half and she if she can come up with one later on.
As requested by Steveg, here's our reply.......we may be popping over, a lot depends on the plans for this weekend. Feel free to let us know the details, and if we cannot make this one you never know we may turn up at the next.
Ta very much
Hiya Red
Sent you a PM - hope you don't mind ???
Let us know if ok with you and hope to talk to you soon
Damn shame I am working this evening, as the other half is down from Yorkshire for the weekend. Would have been fun (I think) to put faces to names and all that.
Have to see if we can try to get to another - me being in essex and her being in yorks means we're fairly flexible about where in the country we can visit (if any interested females are reading), have car and will travel ;)
Hope you all have fun and maybe see you at the next one - where ever that may be....
Whereabouts in the south are you ?? We spend a lot of time in both essex and yorks - so anywhere is fine by us.
Have you and ad on here, or any piccies we could exhange ?
Could always arrange to have a chat on MSN if it's easier, and then see how things develop ?
Define too far????
I live in Essex and the other half lives in Yorks - plus, have car will travel ;)
Hi Sab
Happy New Year to you too
Well like you, we've been searching on here for a like minded female to join us for fun and frolics................tempted ??? ;)
Check the ad out in our signature and let us know what you think.....
Hopefully hear from you soon
