Two more sleeps till Wigan!

You're not allowed to remind me!! I can't go any more!I will have to find something to distract me from the disappointment of not being able to meet lucious fellow forumites in the flesh. At least not yet.
Will reset the sleep-counter to Hartlepool time and await gossip on Sunday from Wigan...
Hartlepool time? are we that far north dunno
:laughabove:
Counter says 93 sleeps. That's a LOT of sleeps!
For a suvverner you are very very far north - I always thought Sheffield was north till I got here. Do I need a visa?
Nah :lol2:

We are currently in the middle getting a controlled parking zone in this area, being close to the shopping centre and college & a lot of other businesses to boot, it gets ridiculous and we get loads of cars parked that don't live round here (and abuse by some if you even dare block them in for 5 minutes to empty the car of shopping) I am all for it.
We get 1 free pass and a free visitors pass when it comes into action and more can be purchased if necessary for a minimal amount if you live within a zone. For this area it will work well, not many of the tenants actually have cars (in the parking bit where Dek parks there is only Dek's car and 2 other tenants cars and parking for 10 - 12 cars all of which gets filled daily by none tenants
If people wish to go out and buy a pass to park here (at quite a large amount I believe) then good for them.

I'm an eight hours a night girl. Always have been. I sleep like the dead. I don't get eight hours every night, I tend to burn the candle at both ends and I'm a night owl rather than a morning person. :rascal:

Every day is the same for me in that respect... I crawl out of bed in the mornings to go to work and vow that I'm having an early night cause I didn't go to bed early enough the previous night. Then I get home from work and have this second wind and before I know it it's midnight again! rolleyes
There are some nights I'm really good and go to bed at 10 ish and I feel a whole lot better for it in the morning but it's quickly forgotten. I could sleep for as long as I am able to stay in bed though. I've been known to come home from work after a particularly heavy weekend and go to bed at half seven and sleep till half seven. My mum reckons I'm going to be an insomniac when I grow up.
Unless of course I'm worrying about stuff... in which case I don't sleep well at all and I'm crabbit! redface

Seconded- an utter night owl here. Quite often awake til 2am. However, I rather foolishly married a morning person...
Never, ever wake me up at 4am to have a conversation. Ever. When I finally go to bed, I do so because I'm tired. I want to sleep. The fact that you've been in bed since 9:30, and are now ready to wake up & chat seeing as I've disturbed you is irrelevent. I NEED SLEEP. Geddit?
And last night...yes, I know you have a cold. However, moaning like a pre menstrual fucking poltergeist every thirty seconds is unlikely to garner sympathy. I'm far more likely to relieve your suffering and put you out of your misery.
And another thing, at 5:30 am, you should think yourself lucky I got out of bed to let your cat out. Yes, your cat. I didn't want a bloody cat. My making you a hot drink whilst I was up was positively saintly. DON'T get all arsey that I then slept on the sofa- not if you value your kidneys.
5:30 am isn't a time, it's a nasty rumour. Early mornings are the thing of myths & legends. "Good Morning" isn't a greeting, it's a death threat.
However, I am pootling off in a couple of hours to spend a couple of nights with a fellow night owl. We can stay up late, go to bed, have sex, go to sleep, wake up at a normal time, have more sex- and then sample the rest of the day's wares. Oh, and fit in riding stupidly scary coasters in between the sex. All this, on 8 hours sleep I can do.
On any less- I'm likely to turn into the lovechild of Linda Regan & Jack Torrence.
Vented. wink
Fuck me.. your me in disguise
Taking note of the morning owls :notes:

sorry Tan, but that is far too much of a simplistic view and is more of a mantra that scientific reality. the calories in/ calories out chants forget that the human body is not a machine and it just does not use all the calories entered. for instance, you could eat 5000 calories of grass, but as the body cannot break down cellulose it won't contribute anything to energy in. The whole calorie thing is nothing but one great big red herring. there is absolutely no evidence that the average slim person eats any less or exercises any more than the average larger person. weight gain is all down to the individuals carbohydrate tolerence level. if you keep going over it, you will put on weight, if you stay under it, you will lose weight, exercise plays no part whatsoever.

What about those who eat very little or no carbohydrate?? Being over weight is not just down to any one thing or food group!
Exercise only helps if used with a diet/ healthy eating (for weight loss) Output has to be more than input - The calories burned has to be more than calories ate on a very regular basis
I would drop the diet and opt for "healthy educated eating" That way you are not starving your body of something it may crave or need,
So you can jog 20 miles a day - it does not mean 2 hoots if you come home to a fry up, stodge, more stodge, cream cakes and chocolate snacks and alcohol/ fizzy pop to wash it down with
Oh and lots of exercise is free some has a small charge, Try walking the dog an extra couple times a day or having a brisk walk to the shop instead of taking the car - swimming! what does that cost £2 ish a session? You can buy a lot of fitness items to go in your home for a relatively small amount
