Reason.....The Muttleys Grand Tour of the North, Xmas and New Year 2005/06.
We, The Muttleys, would graciously apply for leave for the reason of persuing, a debauched 2 week party season, in the north of England on the above dates.
This will entail our being offline for the period stated.
We would iterate, that this is not a permanent flounce, and that we will be coming back.
Our community is very important to us and we will not desert our friends.
To all those who we will see on the tour, we look forward very much to seeing you all.
To those who we dont see until next year, Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

I believe, however that this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the number of 'y' still in captivity, and i believe if they were released 'en'bloc', there would be a population explosion, because, as we all know they dont breed in captivity.
If all the 'y's were released now we would have a flourishing, 'y' community that would bring pleasure to 1000's.

Its from memory, from when i was studying astronomy many years ago.
It may not be technically correct, but its basically what happens with this phenomenon.
The reason its so bright is because the atmosphere of the earth doesnt interfere with the viewing like it would if the moon was lower in the sky. Therefore, you are seeing the moon through a thinner layer of atmosphere, thus making it a clearer view.

Its a very rare phenomenon, which relates to the angular displacent of the sun, earth and moon, which at certain times, means that we observe the moon from a much larger celestial angle.
The apparent height of the moon in the sky is directly attributable to its position above the celestial , combined with the obliqueness of the earths tilt in relation to the celestial equator at this point in the orbit of the earth around the sun, (ie at apogee, or at the winter solstice), is what causes this phenomenon.
