I think you have just dropped an eggcorns in that I think it could be popular words wrong in sentences.
I think I have dropped a few of those in my time on SH. For instance talking about music on a thread once someone pointed out the fact I had said about Jazz Fuck instead of Jazz Funk. :shock:
I just said who put the c and n so close together on the key board?.
Tonight in the chat room I was talking about something and the words "flogging a dead horse" just rambled onto the page. 
I know its an old saying that I have picked up along my lifes journey but haven't a clue what it means and where it comes from.

A few years ago now I was suffered headaches. Never normally one to take painkillers or time off work. I thought they might work so I could carry on. Over 6 weeks the headaches got worse. I ended up being admitted to hospital and kept for two weeks as they found out the fluid around my brain had increased. I worried I had already had a few weeks off work for a headache which even I thought was a lame excuse. Once out of hospital I was sent to see the company doctor why, then wouldn't let me return to work for a further 3 months.
The moral of my story is your body is telling you something, listen to it and advice given. You know how you are feeling and don't feel guilty about not going to work and take some rest.
You can take 2 weeks at a time and see how you are feeling after. Some companies even allow you to start back gradually, see if that is an option.

Like life there are different types of people on here. There are those that don't mind the full openness of swinging, group meets, parties, socials etc and join in the bigger society of it all. There are others that quietly go about they business that keep things much more personal and to themselves. Neither is right or wrong it is just like general life we do things differently. It is about yourself feeling comfortable with the role you look for within. When we use to meet I was more a periphery person and met people with a like mindset to our own.
I don't know how old your Dad is. I would suggest talking to age concern.
They were a great help to my mum gave her information about care help, occupational therapy which supplied equipment to help my dad support himself a little. Also gave advice on what benefits my dad was intitled to and helped complete the forms.
My parents owed their own house and my mum was still working full time at that stage.
My mum was like you she never knew where to turn.
They might be worth a try to help point you in the right direction.
Once you are in the system there is support there, it is not perfect but keep telling then what you need to be able to keep caring for him yourself as his needs change.

Thing is this is supposed to be a swingers site not a place for old mates to chat and keep up. That is what facebook is for. Unless you are upfront all the time about the fact that you are not meeting at all then you leave yourself wide open (and rightly so) to the charge of time waster.
And the fact you fail to realise this and think those that get annoyed with you are in the wrong perfectly demonstrates the cliquey nature that has now greatly damaged the credibility of the site as a place for actual swingers who meet rather than just a chatroom.

First of all I have never used facebook. I have always felt it is a bit like - you can be in my gang as I have allowed you entry, type of place. It's not for me thanks. I much prefer to be able to have a chat with all types of people roaming about who enjoy sharing my company and I theirs.
I am honest on my profile and also in the room I opened last night called "Timewasters we don't meet or shagg" funnily enough many people came in and complemented me on my honesty. I have never in my five years on this site every been in a situation of getting anyone annoyed with me and have said I am in the wrong being here because I don't meet.
Swinging for me is like others have said. It is a mindset not having sex with all and sundry that ask. If your description of a cliquey is of people that share liked minds or activity this could relate to many activities within life. Then the simple fact you have joined here must make you want to join in the cliquey.
At the end of the day we must all share a common theme or we wouldn't be paying to join a site like this, the fact we all do it differently should just be respected in my honest opinion.
