Brown has decimated our pensions and all but killed off final salary pension schemes - we have gone from having a system that was once among the best in the world to something worse than third rate after he and pillaged pension funds ... and presided over the biggest financial meltdown in history ... he certainly doesn't get my vote here or when the election finally comes.
The hated poll tax was Maggie's low point, and whilst I agree that unions did at the time wield far too much power and needed to be reined in, I do think things have gone too far and for the most part unions have been neutered - the balance needs to be shifted back to somewhere in between.

My brother and I used to walk the 20 mins to junior school on our own and caught a bus for the hour journey to and from school when we were in secondary school ... everyone walked/bused to school then.
Infants need taking to/from school obviously and people in remote villages have no choice but to drive but other than that, todays parents are stupid/paranoid that their kids can't get to/from school without some jumping out of the bushes to abduct their sprogs ... and kids are on the whole lazy/spoilt ...

I think some of the 'standardised moves' involved in pole dancing are actually a lot harder to do well than you may imagine ... becomes abundantly clear when someone with no experience gets up on stage and tries some of them (badly)

I agree to some degree about the first one, everyone cares what other people think of them to a point and the importance of another persons opinion is going to depend on the relationship ... after all, why would you care that much about the opinion of a complete stranger?

I get the flu jab every year ... never had a problem with it and not caught flu either.
A couple people I know have apparently got swine flu - confined to home but otherwise ok - haven't seen either of them in weeks though. Still, does make it seem more 'real' somehow.
As always, the conspiracy theorists are popping out of the woodwork ... there something on youtube telling people to 'just say no' to the tamiflu jab as it's all a plan by the world govts to bump off the elderly and societies scumbags ... they've been watching Torchwood obviously ...
