Mixed results, but I think its because we've had such a crap summer so things haven't gown or ripened properly ... my tomatoes plants have lots of little tomatoes but they're not rippening, just getting the odd one or two ... marrows are smaller than normal though courgettes have been ok, aubergines have done ok but they're all fairly small.

If they didn't know your partner exists, then you could inform them and ask if you can bring your partner along. Unless arrangements are far in advance, I think most people would say it was ok.
The 'constantly excluded' bit makes me wonder if the family do know the partner exists but have excluded them because of some previous issue ... or maybe it was just misleading wording there ...

Don't think you can upload a pic from your pc direct to the post though I guess you could in a round about way by uploading it to you profile and then link to your post (but then you'd get that watermark over the pic).

I've 3 lenses, 100-300, 35-105 and fixed length 28mm which is what this was taken with, aperture priority was set at f4 ...
Expensive lesson ... I used to have a 35-135 lens but took it apart as there was a loose screw rattling around - I couldn't put it back together again of course!

I decided to go for the 40D as well in the end as I prefer the more solid construction of the body over the 450D which has very favourable reviews but is constructed of plastic. I've always had Canon SLRs so my existing lenses will work fine with it.
Just waiting for it to be delivered - was dispatched yesterday.
