Yup have done it with a best 'girl' friend from college. We've been friends for years and kept in touch when we'd left college.
We only did it once but it was something we needed to do to release the pent up tension.
Wouldn't do it again though cos my best friend is a guy, and it might give him an unpleasant surprise.

i dont thing the technology in ffones is that far advnaced for the Chatroom and vids.
i am currently using an N95, and it works with most sites, but does struggle with Flash items.

I think that's true with most 'smartphones' at the moment. However it is rumoured the iPhone will soon be Flash-capable.

no offence, but has anyone actually read the article properly???
i think it says that children might well not like certain new/foreign foods, but the reasons WHY they might not like it is important.
If they say "yuk" i dont like it because of the taste then that is course it is.
If they say that they dont like it because its foreign then this could mean that they hold "racist" views. I think that is right and I think its important that children learn that if you dislike something/someone simply because its/they are foreign... then theres something wrong in that.
the article ends with the question "Is disliking spicy food a sign of racism?"... i think the answer is that it could be and im all for teachers/play leaders/parents working to stamp such narrow minded attitudes out at an early age.

Sorry but is that comment a wind up? lol
The artical probably is a wind up..it's from the telegraph fgs.
How can anyone possibly think a child of 3 can be racist? What has gone so terribly wrong with this really do need to get out more.
When are people going to stop the racist card at every little thing. The funny thing is it is not black people that see this kind of thing as racist at all, it seems to be white people. I just cannot imagine how any black person would think that artical was based on any kind of racism.
Well spotted Kentswingers!
In truth most black people would be just as mystified by that article as everyone else seems to be.

Thats a real toughie Fire......I think it would be ok if it was a family member or a VERY close friend....but not someone else. I think i would get a bit uppity if a stranger did it...I would be of the opinion that disciplining of MY kids is MY business and no one elses.
I work in a parent/toddler group, and its a very hard thing to judge discipline. We are very aware that everyone had different discipline styles, yet the centre we work in (as I imagine a lot of other places do) has a 'no smacking' policy and its difficult if we see a parent give theur child a tap on the hand or the backside.
Parenting style and discipline is a very personal thing, and when someone else tells you that what you are doing is, or maybe, wrong it can be a potential minefield. You need a great deal of tact as well as the hide of a rhino when broaching something like that with another oparent you dont kow too well.
Its a refelction of society as a whole today, that you cant discipline a child who is doing wrong, without fear of a lawsuit or at the very least a gob full of abuse.

I can't help feeling this is the real problem. It's very difficult for parents who are now caught in the middle, to know whether they can even chastise their own children let alone anybody else's.
There will always be 'good' and 'bad' parents, but the idea that children have 'rights' without looking at how these 'rights' impact on their parents and the rest of society is a nonsense. The whole attitude, these days, of letting children 'express themselves freely', without any moderation, is the ultimate failure of sixties liberalism.
We have allowed ourselves to get confused over the difference between 'chastisement' and 'abuse', and as such have laid ourselves open to the current situation where we have very little control, yet get blamed for the wrong doings of children.

Is it just me, but I found the last episode of Dr Who rather disappointing? It felt like a mish-mash of ideas, but with very little in terms of resolution.
dunno :dunno: :dunno:
What it was, was three individuals instead of one that started galloping towards the end with solutions that came out of no where because the story never got around to setting the end up.
Bring back the old stories with;
a beginning, a big lie
a middle, where the characters interact
an end, where there is at least a connection with the rest of the story.
Has Dr. Who fallen into the trap of so much Si-fi, where the story is only there to support the special effects.
After all what was it about Star Wars? The big ships or the tension between characters. Did they ever get to the end of a film and Luck say "It's OK, I have this button in my pocket, it will fix everything."
Well said it was exactly how it felt, little in terms of coherent ideas but plenty of special effects.

Well I can finally read this thread now, not had a chance to watch the final two episodes till now.
I loved it but it did feel a bit dissjointed, presembable too keep us hooked untill the Christmas special, but having to wait till 2010 sad :(
I only found out a few months ago when I was about 6yrs my dad used to work on DR Who and other stuff, and when they finished recording that particular series, my dad took the boards that made up the centre console of the Tardis and made it into a drinks bar in our house rotflmao

Bit young to be on this site aren't you?
:scared: :scared: :scared:
There are quite a few black girls on here, some of them are big girls too, but it isn't easy to do a search to find them.
Don't really know what to suggest, but you could create your own room in the Chatrooms and call it 'Black BBWs', for instance, and see what happens?

actually the attitudes of children and what they eat come from their parents first and then their peer groups. my son has never had a problem trying new foods and was never made awear of what country the foods came from.
if the goverment really wants to tackle racist issues it's starting in the wrong place. it should start with the adults, but then again it has been trying to do that for many years and it's not working that way either. we were all told about how wrong it was to be racist at school but that didn't stop me being bullied because of my colour. quite frankly it's rediculous for them to think that any teacher is going to hear what most children are going to say at meal times anyway. seeing other children eat is usually what gets the reluctent ones to try, as has been proven with veg. at the end of the day racisum is never going to be stopped and i doubt that most 3 year olds are going to be able to comment on what they are eatting other than to say whether they like it or not. if they say yuk then so what?
there comes a point where racisum is concentrated on so much that rather than stopping it it only highlights it more.
all bullying needs to be stopped but i think racisum is a losing battle. it's not just the 'whites' (and i use the term loosely) of this country that need teaching about racisum. the asian population are sadly just as bad if not worse in some cases. i know this from personal experience. worrying about how a child reacts to food is the least of there worries.
whips

Pure genius Whips! I couldn't agree with you more.
The other thing to remember is that racism isn't just something that happens to black people. Black people can be racist against white people too
We all do it against each other and we should be more aware of what we say and do when it's unintentional. However we must be mindful of not making something a bigger problem than it really is.

The 366-page guide for staff in charge of pre-school children, called Young Children and Racial Justice, warns: "Racist incidents among children in early years settings tend to be around name-calling, casual thoughtless comments and peer group relationships."
It advises nursery teachers to be on the alert for childish abuse such as: "blackie", "Pakis", "those people" or "they smell".
The guide goes on to warn that children might also "react negatively to a culinary tradition other than their own by saying 'yuk'".
Staff are told: "No racist incident should be ignored. When there is a clear racist incident, it is necessary to be specific in condemning the action."

The article is a bit of a ramble and isn't explicit enough in the message it's trying to get across. In fact it seems to me that the article is trying to create controversy where none exists.

Because the first thing any PC repairer does is check out all the pictures on the hard drive, including the ones you think you've deleted. I think this is probably what the OP is worried about?
Sorry, I don't. What's wrong with it? If you are that worried, is it something you can't solve by just copying your important data to another hard drive, wiping the original one, and re-installing everything?

Oooooo never thought of that
Then again, if it's just cross-dressing, why would it be a problem? That's not really naughty, is it?
I agree with you there FB. Not sure I really understand what the problem is. If you're only worried about them seeing pictures of you cross-dressing, I'm sure they're used to it. It seems to be that as long as you don't have anything illegal on your drive, whatever problems they may have is their problem?
dunno
Yes, maybe it is their problem but if a person wants to feel comfortable why not look to see if they are some crossdresser friendly pc repairs in their area? No harm in asking eh?
I know some the cross dressers I've come across want to keep their anonymity as they live in small communities or well known. For example I know a local councillor who cross dressers. I'm sure he wouldn't want all an sundry knowing...

Fair point.

What's even worse is that they don't even have to supply receipts.
All the expenses are based on the assumption that the items cost as much as they would if bought in John Lewis. Therefore they can buy an item cheaply, find out what it cost would be if it was bought in John Lewis and make a profit on every item purchased.
