Has this change been indicated anywhere? Or were the members meant to just work it out?

Good question?????????????
Hadn't noticed until you'd pointed it out. Looks like half of the menu options on the left have disappeared????

Server 4 is currently down and as it's the default entry point into chat then we can't get in :violin:

same is happening again today, tried for ages then it let me in on server 2 then got disconnected
Such is the popularity of SH I guess??
However it does beg a couple of questions:
1 Could we please get rid of the 5 minutes delay? This is a perfect example of why it isn't helpful to the great majority of users.
2 Would it possible to have a second dialogue box, after the Click Here to Enter the Chatroom, with a list of the available servers? This would give the users a chance to go directly to the server of their choice, rather than having to wait and see where you end up first?
Hope this is helpful??? Just trying to see possible solutions. dunno
I've just read an article, which was published in The Guardian (Tuesday), written by Lucy Mangan and she had a lot to say about the good Doctor that might help to clarify a few things. She says:
1 The question of succession is, of course, predicated on the belief that the Doctor has begun a true regeneration.
2 Majority opinion is that we are all still in the parallel universe brought about by the bug on Donna's back the week before.
3 There are pictures of David Tennant filming the Christmas special.
4 If we were about to get a new Doctor, it would be the best-kept secret since, well, ever.
Personally I think we are still in the parallel universe and therefore everything isn't as it appears to be. Therefore once everything has been resolved, all will be undone and we'll go back to the way things were before the bug appeared on Donna's back.
Still don't know what the meaning behind Bad Wolf is, but I'm convinced it's something to do with the Daleks, and possibly the Doctor leaving clues about what has just happened throughout different moments in time.
… and the Doctor's severed hand???? dunno :dunno: :dunno:
Bear in mind also that the Tardis is a living thing and symbiotically linked with the Doctor, so this might play an interesting role as well.
I'm jealous!!! Truly God's favourite beverage.
Glad you had a great time.
You could have brought a case back though. biggrin :D :D

For some reason I just can't take to him although I do want him to win.
He was using the mainly English crowd as a weapon against his a opponent yet in previous interviews has been very vocal about his Scottishness and is a little anti English in my opinion. I admire him for this but he can't have it both ways.

i didnt know he was scottish, just thought he was british, iv not heard him make any anti english comments
i remember david coulthard (F1 driver) making comments
about being scottish and not british and that annoyed me so much that i never cheered for him at all since then
having said that...if anyone asks me my nationality i say im english rather than british lol

David Coulthard comes across as a much nicer person though. Andy Murray irritates me, every time I see him I want to punch him.
mad
Kryton (Coulthard) flies the Scottish flag at every opportunity yet still prides himself on being a member of the BRDC (British Racing Drivers Club)....
Whats that all about then dunno
I think the clue may be in the word "British", as opposed to "English"?

Very well put Mar.
The problem with all of this nonsense, including political correctness, is that in order to protect the feelings and the rights of one individual you end up violating the feelings and the rights of someone else.

dunno :dunno: :dunno:

Thanks BB kiss and you are very correct yourself in saying one ends up outweighing the other. The only person who ends up 'winning' if you can call it that is the person making all the stooopid decisions in the first place
My pleasure hun
It just seems that decisions are being made, these days, with very little intelligent thinking behind it.

the teacher was absolutely right to stop that party,........,those two kids human rights was violated

The sooner people learn that this is the real world, that nanny won't always be around to look after them and that life isn't always fair the better -- sure they will be disappointed - tough !! life is full of disapointments -- I'll bet the party-giver was disappointed too if he had to invite his worst enemy ..
they will just have to learn to deal with it
its kids we are talking about here HJ
And at what age do you stop protecting them from disappointment ?
which side are you on flower?
Yes Flower you must take a side, it's a classroom after all! wink
Right, imo no child's rights were violated other than the poor kid handing out his little party invites. It's his party, his right to invite whoever he goddamn wants. Is his right not being violated by the possible 'forcing' of two people at his party he may well not like?
Look at it all angles, take a scenario, the two not invited could well have bullied him for years... different now?
It's life, kids get disappointments it's what makes them become well adjusted adults instead of always getting their own way.
The Teacher was wrong, she then drew attention to 3 kids not just the 2 originally not invited.
Very well put Mar.

I've been on a doctor who forum, the theory on there (one of many lol) is that the Doctor splits into 2 Doctors - 2 David Tennants. Apparently there have been screenshots of him in his usual brown suit, and of him in a blue suit
One Doctor David is the usual one we all know and love, the other is a mortal version of himself, and the mortal version goes off with Rose at the end of the episode to her parallel world.
Did anyone else hear "the sound of drums" as Donna was sitting on the stairs? The same sound the Master heard throughout his life?
Also, at the end, the Doctor actually said "I'm regeneratED" not "I'm regeneratING"

This is very interesting, and of course there will be loads of theories, but ultimately I agree with everyone else. I don't think the Doctor is regenerating in the usual sense, something has to happen to allow David Tennant to remain as the Doctor.
Also we still have the whole issue of Bad Wolf to solve, and to rationalise all the 'clues' that have been left throughout. Who has been leaving the clues, and has everything we've seen so far been a result of the current time disruption. When the rift has been repaired will everything return to … ??? Will Rose no longer be stuck in a parallel dimension?
If all of these issues aren't resolved by the end of the final episode I shall be out on the streets …
Exterminate! Exterminate!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh Yessssssssss!
… oops what a give away.

I think there are two sides to this issue, but I can't help feeling the school's reaction was heavy handed.

It seems to me that if both sides knew the school's position on discrimination, then the school may have been right to confiscate the invites. However taking the matter to the Swedish Parliament seems an over reaction to me.
I cannot believe this has happened in a vacuum, as it appears at first sight, therefore there must be more to it than this.

There was a girl I knew in Art College who was a staunch feminist, but we got on really well. Most of the other guys hated the fact I was the only one she allowed to hug and cuddle up to her.
Several years later we met up again and I'd invited her back to my flat for coffee. No really!
We started talking about old times and how people thought there was something going on between us, when there wasn't. Within half an hour we were 'doing the deed'.
Sadly she was meeting her boyfriend later, in the pub, and couldn't stay, but it was something we both needed to get out of our systems.

There are some subjects I feel very strong about, but I'd hate to think anyone felt I was getting at them specifically, so for all the times I may have done so,
Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! :therethere:
There are so many good people on here. Thanks for listening to me and my occasional rants. You have all been very kind and patient with me.

In the meantime, If there are two good-looking, kind, considerate and well-spoken black guys out there you'd better get in touch - you don't have to be firemen!!!!!

the point is ... that steve has a habit of playing the bully, but others( me included) can see right through it.
Like a few on here, he has a different view. Some I agree with and some I don't. The forum would be boring without these differing views. Steve, in my opinion, has a thought and puts it in type and will then ask questions about others answers. This applies to Frecklebird, Phuckers, Wunderhorse, and quite a few I could mention. I like the way they do not stick to the norm. They all make me think and look at a topic in a totally different way. Is that bullying? Not in my book, just clarifying answers.
he hides behind his friends and the AUP and basically loves a good row.
I suspect his friends on here would be the first to point out to Steve if he stepped over the mark. And I suspect he would be the first to acknowledge it............well at least Shireen would give him a bash around the head first biggrin . Hiding behind the AUP? You can not hide behind it.........you either abide by it and stay or do not abide by it and get a boot.
he hangs on to a time when he was important... but the truth is, he is no-longer important,
Well below the belt and should not be in an adult discussion. It is more suited to the playground
and less attractib=ve to the opposite sex. accordingly he takes it out on his (more virile) competition.
Even more below the belt. Your head should hang in shame for that
if im gonna get banned for speaking my mind.. then so be it.
I hope you don't get a ban, but you should think before insulting people
Just for the record, me and Steve have crossed swords in previous threads. And at one point it became quite heated, but that was with the discussion and not insults. I hope everyone can play happily now and stop building barriers of them and us. There is no them and us, there is only me against the rest of you  .

As for the advert? I wouldn't have noticed it if it hadn't been pointed out to me. To me it is just another scene in everyday life. I wouldn't bat an eyelid.
Dave_Notts
worship Dave, you've done my thumping head a real favour as I've been trying to get round to saying just that all day.

 couldn't agree more.
I'm really sick of the shite in here now. Threads are becoming direct hits at people.
Totally agree with you Mar. The forum has got quite nasty of late. I think I preferred it when it was all light and frothy and funny.
