What ever style of playing you adopt be sure to practise every day. Aim for at least an hour if you get time. Be sure to practise very, very slowly. That way you'll learn things a lot quicker. Play both electric and acoustic. On the acoustic front, if you can afford it, have both steel stung and nylon strung. If you have all three types of guitar you'll have a wider spectrum of playing and thus lots more fun. Good luck!

Sound advice!

It's interesting all the people who have commented on the newspapers, magazines, and the rest of 'The Media' interest in Jade Goody. And yet here we are talking about a 'z-list celebrity', not just on one, but on two separate threads.
The media exploit and make money out of our wants and desires. So who is really to blame?
dunno

its only exploitation for us...when you part with your money!
thats why mines stays in me purse
Me too!

Wallet surely! bolt

But I do feel that had it been myself or any other white person doing this it would have been reported alot diffrently and probably resulted in the police being called to investigate a charge of racism.

Sadly I think you're right. However I did find the whole story a little disturbing, and Mr Deva Kumarasiri comes across as slightly … eccentric.?

i'm not a great guitarist but i think if you play it close to the amp you'll get all the feedback you need confused

:laughabove: :laughabove: :laughabove:
Bert Weedon's Play In A Day is the guitarists' bible, and is a great way to learn the guitar. It's still on sale in most guitar shops and is highly respected.
Personally if you want to learn to play guitar I've always thought it's better to learn on an acoustic guitar first because you can learn much better technique which you can transfer to the electric. It's more difficult the other way round as the acoustic is less forgiving of sloppy technnique.
Hope that helps.
cool
In all honesty there're all pretty much the same. If you stick to TomTom, Garmin, or Navman you shouldn't go wrong.
TomTom claim to have the most frequent updates, while Garmin claim to have the most accurate. However if like most people I know, you probably use the same Road Map Atlas you've had for the past 20 years, and guess what you still manage to get to your destination, then it really doesn't matter whether one updates every week or the other every month.
There are only two things you need to consider, firstly price/features. For me the ability to get from A to B is important, most of the other extra you'll probably never use. And the other consideration is small/wide screen, but this is purely a question of choice since the software works in exactly the same way.

I've used both PCs and Macs, but I have to say that Macs are a much better designed platform. The OS is less clunky and has a relentless logic in the way it works … it's quite beautiful from a design point of view.
So I've become a bit of a Mac geek. Any problems you know where I am.
biggrin :D :D :D :D
Glad it worked hun.
It's not a system thing it's the way the site has been designed. The chatrrom in particular has been designed in Flash, which doesn't give as much user control as bog standard HTML.
However just play around with Universal Access until you get it the way you want. Any more problems and you can PM me wink

Not that I generally need to use daytime hotels, but if a 'snooze' is £69 (did they choose that price specially?), surely it'd be cheaper to use a standard Comfort Inn or whatever? Am I missing summat?

You know what? I was thinking the same thing. Even Premier Inns are a better deal.

Hi guys, I've got a solution. I'd forgotten about some technologies that Apple have had built into the OS for decades now, but they never advertise.
First go to System Preferences, then look for Universal Access in the resulting window. It's exact position will vary depending on the version number of your OS.
Now click on Universal Access and you will see the zoom option, with associated keyboard shortcuts, which you can switch on or off.
Switch it on and viola!
NB
Universal Access has been part of the Mac OS for a very long time, and is free, and some of it's features are better than some commercial products that sell for thousands of pounds, like JAWS for instance. It's comprehensive and caters for people with many disabilities including hearing and sight loss.
cool
Yes you're right. That's really odd I know there's a way but can't remember. I'll investigate and get back to you.
Part of the problem is that some of the site is in HTML and some, like the chatroom, is in Flash.
I'll get back to you once I've found the answer.

I have a question for the more philosophical of you forumites.
Can I step into the same river twice?
confused Nola x

Yes and No! You can step into the same river, but you can't step into the same part of the river.
cool
Yes but the final result is still too soft and lacking in detail. Also if you look at it closely you can still see some blockiness caused by the pixellation.
So it is slightly better but still it's much better to take a higher resolution picture at the beginning. There're limits to what the software can do.
Dollyminx try going up to the view menu in Safari. Then scroll down and you'll see the options for making the text bigger or smaller, in the second section of the drop down menu.
Nice profile pix by the way cool
Quote by Silk and Big G
Woohoo is right ya cant make it higher resolution. Lighter or darker yeah, but if its low res bigger means blurrier

That's right. Sad to say Ms_Whips but the real problem is with resolution. If the information isn't there, it can't be created. Hence the pixellation.
There are bits of software out there that can make your pictures look less pixelated, but the results always look poor, lacking detail and contrast.

I have recieved about three replies to adverts from this member and they were anything but polite, just contained loads of filthy language and the usual cock pics, I am begining to wonder if some of the single guys on here do actualy have a face lol.
We have met some realy lovely single guys from SH and the clubs, a few we still meet and two I meet regular for one on one fun, they are particularly polite friendly and make a girl feel special, thats why we continue to meet.
I am a big supporter of the right single guy, lets face our hubbies were one at some point lol.
Eve xxxx
Life to short when you hit 50

Is it possible that by including f**king diatribe you'd get the impression they were up for a f**k - or did they not give a f**k? ;)
Seriously though - yes its hard for single guys (As a general opinion). There's more chance of spotting the 5% wankers of single guys (based on numbers) as there will be loads more about compared to the 5% wankers in single females or couples, so its not "single guys are bad" thing - purely numbers.
I say, get to a party, walk up to someone, introduce yourself and smile sweetly, in the knowledge that the introduction is just that, and get to know them a little and see what happens.
PS: By "Get to know them" I don't mean their full address and NI numbers (that's just stalking!) - I like to know what tickles ones fancy and test my memory to see if I remember should I bump into them later ;)
Sound advice Ahabs
It's all about patience and consideration.

maybe were just bored of little boys throwing there rattles out of prams
some guys have manners and chat to us ladies hence they have more luck

Quite right Voddie! Perhaps if Scorpio just tried talking to women maybe he'd have more luck. It's not rocket science. You can't just put your profile up and expect women to come running, you have to put some effort in, give people a reason to choose you over the thousands of other guys on the site.
Just a thought. dunno

It does prompt the question though, since the internet has become popular where have all the Big UGLY women gone ?

I actually dislike the term "BBW". Dunno why, just do.
Kinda agree with you hun.
I prefer curvy or 'woman shaped'
I agree! This sums it up for me really … BBWs are woman shaped.
biggrin :D :D :D :D
This is completely brilliant! Funny to see this site as it once was … but I also looked at a couple others as well.
Quite nostalgic now. Well done two-4-more. Really enjoyed that.
