I may be wrong, but most of the times I've heard women discussing men's underwear, they seem to come out in favour of smart black or white cotton boxer briefs like CK's and other fashion brands do. Sure you can get some just-as-good but cheaper versions if you want to. To me this style looks smart, quite sexy and they're pretty damn comfy too (especially cotton microfibre ones). Tanga briefs look quite good too I think.
If you want something a bit more unusual or different or sexier, and your lady likes them, you can go for a pouch/thong - but that depends on individual preference a lot (and whether you want to wear them). Maybe you need a choice and to have something for occasional wear to show it off a bit on special occasions.

Taxi another great example of a great film ruined by a remake (the french original version is brilliant). HHGG - I will have to see it, but same, am scared it'll ruin my fond memories of it. Loved the Radio show, TV series is cult but not as good, and books of course are great.
There are movies that have been turned into books (remember doing a study of movie->book story and book->movie story at school) and they can work out alright, but differences in medium and commitment when watching/reading mean they require very different skills to become worthy in their respective area. And sometimes a bit of a rewrite (narrative etc..)
Thinking around, I reckon book->movie usually works quite well if given to a decent producer/director and given enough freedom without straying too far. Sometimes movie can be better than the book if it cuts out unneccessary boring bits (LotR in my opinion) or it just ends up being easier to portray story threads

As already mentioned I'm sure there are specialist places who will custom make it for you at heavy expense; or, are you any good with needle and thread?... Maybe that's not a realistic option but I'll suggest it anyway. Use existing clothes as patterns for the shape of the pieces, make it in something cheap first as practice/try out.

Ok, just came across this thread otherwise I'd have tried to help out much sooner. Some more good references and help for CSS (and they have other html/techy info too):
- good tutorials, in fact a very good site overall.
- DHTML (javascript, DOM,..) too
- more of a general programming site but still some worthwhile web stuff
CSS Zen Style Garden (or something - can't remember the URL) is a great starting example of what you can do with CSS.
Oh, and I know everyone's been raving about Firefox recently and it's the new hip browser to use, but... really, it's not as nice as Opera in a lot of ways. Ok you can write plugins to control firefox how you like but with Opera it's all just built in and completely customisable interface, nice bookmark search. It's my current fave.
Firefox still lacks a bit too much for me to love it. Sure it'll get better and kick arse soon.
But anyone still using IE and hasn't tried anything else realllllly really ought to... IE is wayyyy behind. Anyway enough geek speak. PM me to discuss further / for more help with CSS.

I would recommend an electric shaver if you want to avoid nicks, as long as it's a decent one.
