All of it sounds good to us as we really enjoyed the last one and would love to meet up with all those perverted reprobates again!
I like the sound of option 1, as it would mean fewer odd looks with any pervy activity, and I'm crap at names n faces, so I'd be likely to saunter over to a complete random and start talking to the like they were one of the crowd!

Mac's - while very good - are pretty much only really worth the extra expense if you're going to use their capabilities to the full. It's a whole new o/s to learn too - although bloody kids would prolly work it out a damn sight quicker than me. That said - who do the kids go to for help when it all goes boobs up. Won't really be a problem with a PC.
The other thing was the fact that she dropped the last one! I know accidents happen, but dropping a £1600 Mac is going to hurt a LOT more than dropping a £375 Acer. That said there may be something in the fact that she may take more care of it because it's that much more expensive. On the other hand, it depends whether she knows the value of a pound.

Well, now the dust has well and truly settled, it's time for me to chime in.
Well done to the Tweekys and Thank You SO much, that was a fantastic night enjoyed by all, I'm sure. Was lovely to see you both again, we really should do it again sometime soon, and not leave it nearly 5 years!
Sadly now that I've left it this long I've totally forgotten everyone I spoke to, so I'm truly sorry, but to be fair I was rather drunk and my memory is shite at the best of times. Feel free to shout at me in the chatrooms!

If you reply to every single response you get, then they respond again, what do you do? Reply again, whilst still trying to keep up with the new mails coming in? You'd never get anything done!
I think if you have no response, it's safe enough to accept it as a no.
