People get banned for plenty of reasons and to be honest I can apriciate why we aren't told what they are banned for however ........ in the profile text that says "this member is currently banned from this site" could we not add the line "untill 20/12/2006" for example.
If we had made contact and aranged a meet with someone and then found them banned the length of the ban could give some indication as to what they had done wrong. We would happily meet someone who had tried to hide their e mail addy in a post or soemthing on those levels..........but as WRATS said if they had been banned for violence or things of the same serious level, we would be certain not to have anything to do with them.
I'm aware you could ask the member why they were banned but they may not always be honest.

people get banned for different reasons. if you have there email address then send them a email and ask. and then you can judge for yourself.
and make sure you meet them in public and then you can see what there like.

well im not a couple, but i think the same as you, i want to chat and get to know someone before i meet, so that were both comfortable.
yes i have done the meets were ive met only after chatting for a hour but ive come to learn that its more fun if you know abit about the person your going meet.
and theres more chance that you will meet again and again ;-)

i always show people im going to meet some pics of me, and i always say that when they meet me and if they decide im not there type, just to say so, and theres no hard feelings on either side.
and we talk a bit about what were both looking for.
but ive never had one say im not there type yet, but i do know it will happen one day.

I understand the need for this in situations such as those the emergency services come across on a day to day basis, (not that i have ever noticed it or used it myself when working) but ! don't think there is any place for these kinds of sick text message jokes.

i agree with you.
the jokes are sick. and the people that are telling them would be the first to complain if they had something bad happen to them and everyone told jokes about them, wouldent they?
