quite pleased actually...i thought most would be scared of rats.....
as i think there are more "old wives tales" regarding them than any other animal.
gold python = burmese python whoch is amelonistic and lightens dark patches to yellowy gold colour hence gold python.....
had a trio of lucistic texas rat snakes...they were wierd looking...like an albino pure white but black eyes....very fond og the male of the trio and called him "billy" lol
were very lucky in this country in regards to dnageous insects.....
the only thing we have really (apart form the chance if you live on the south coast of being smacked in the face by a 4 inch stag beetle) are wolf spiders....
now the winters tend to be warmer (ahem) they can live for 3 years or so making the largest big enough to bite us and reach through the epidermis.. even then at the worst it would give a slight itch as very few spiders have poweful venom.... eg tarantulas venom is 1 tenth the strength of a bee sting....
there is rumour that on pendle hill ....the treacle miners can be seen...and that wild whazzocks also live there.....
but im informed that the greater spotted four rear legged whazzock is dangerously close to extinction
good job you live hare matt and not in africa lol.....
theyve been known to clear whole villages until theyve passed on.....
Triskaidekaphobia......
now thats a real phobia lol
quick quizz hijack (google specialists lol)
all reptiles have latin names....broken down into sub species
corn snake + elaphe
pythons + pythonus
etc etc
boa constrictor is the only difference
what is latin for BOA CONSTRITOR
thought about this form the PHOBIAS thread as some of the answers reminded me...
a few years ago i used to own a pet shop in clitheroe....it was small but i didnt sell small furries only things with scales etc...
i had about 30 snakes and 40 lizards there all the time....oh and a few parrots and birds etc.....
i registered with CITES for endangered species and was on their breeding program for endangered snakes.....including breeding stock i had about 50 snakes ..apart form the pet stock...corn/rat/milk snakes i had some quite rare snakes such as rosy boas....red tailed including as a show piece i kept my own burmese pythons at the shop..female was 13 feet long and the male about 9 feet.....
soooooooooooo without further ado...does any 1 else have or has had a "different pet"
i could go on and on regerding reptilia but ill wait and see what other peoples experiences are....then i might go into more nold and quite dangerous adventures lol
really good friend of mine loved her pet rat...she had a patterdale terrier too and it used to play fight with the rat...it used to beg off her when she was eating...
unfortunately it got savaged off a friends westie and she literally went into deep mourning....pet cemetery and wearing black....
stange...but true
my dad is a veritable pain in the arse......
he sulks and whines....badgers me constantly to go up and fix something that isnt broke.....i bitch about him constantly...we argue and tell each other to f***off on a regular basis.........
the fact is...i love the old bugger with all my heart and i know its recipricated....but thats just how we show it too each other......
since my mum died hes turned into gran (not literally)....i go up every day for my tea but i wouldnt change him for anything....
lol...hes just come in as im typing this saying he almost slipped in the frost and i could of offered to pick him up.......FFS lol
well...if it was the failed celebs REALLY living out in the bush then yes it would be very interesting......as the place they are living hosts some of the worlds most venomous animals in the world.....
unfortunately if youve watchd it you will notice there is a lack of any type of the said species.....
this is because of certain facts
1) the whole area is fenced off with animal proof fencing...
2) countless "REAL" bushmen take out all the creepy crawlies (snakes cant get in due to the fence)
3) each night a veritable army of workers check the fence and inside too to make sure there are no hidden surprises.......
if youve watched and there has been a creepy crawlie shown....believe me the sid creepy crawlie has been cast in the role......complete with either fangs taken out.....or poison removed.......the other animals ...as in the bush tucker trial rats especially are bred for the show......same with snakes.....
dargento
am i an op?????
woohooo
sarge....can you mail me my buttons please......
actually not a good idea.......if i was the PM and had 2 buttons by my bed NURSE and NUKE id probably press the wrong bloody one
bloody hell harry (not the 1 form the film) your seriously starting to worry me m8....
the capri (admitted by ford) was an engineering disaster....if it wasnt for the bloody professionals it would of died a death much sooner......the old ford escort was faster...handled better... and was quicker on acceleration....
i had the displeasure to own a 3l ghia ...it was fast...as long as you were going in a straight line...
