Chat can be cliquey and so can forums, mainly due to the fact that most people (chatters or forumites) have met, made friends and have common interests.
I feel somewhat ashamed to say that I can seen be as cliquey to someone joining chat for the first time in the main chat rooms. We/I use the NW room or whatever its called on any particular day but going into another room we may find that "cliquey"
Weve been on SH since 2003 and much prefered it when there was only 1 chatroom (god I miss mirc)there seemed to be less of a clique then.

the beatles were brilliant and crap, to everyone his choice. I have loads of memories built from my parents days in Liverpool when they started out unknown and local to them. From my Mum's tales of nicking of school, getting changed in the cavern club toilets to watch them to playing in Paul Mcartneys grandads garden as kids and uncles who used to roadie for them when they got back from Hamburg.

As a smoker I rate the smoking ban as No.1
Non smokers dont know what theyre missing, the social gatherings outside the pub door are fascinating. Since the ban Ive made loads of new buddies
As Dave dosent smoke (gave up 20 years ago) Ive always smoked outside so having to do so in public places has not bothered me in the least, although it bothers Dave as now when we're in the company of smokers we all go outside for a fag and leave him behind to mind the drinks, watch coats and hand bags etc.
So the non smoker among us is still whinging
