Kent, Republican does not necessarily mean IRA terrorist does it? It's perfectly possible to believe in the political aims of Irish Nationalism, and yet be a staunch opponent of paramilitary violence. Confusing the two is a favoured tactic of those who would try and tar all nationalists with the same brush, and does a disservice to those who have fought for nationalist aims using only democratic means while simultaneously fighting the violence within their own communities.
Neil x x x ;)

I think the two go hand in hand.
The IRA used violence to try and gain its political aims. I believe Republicans are sympathetic to the IRA, and all its uses of trying to force the British Governments hands.
I bet there were very few Republicans, who were sympathetic when the Brighton bombing happenened. I bet there were very few who thought that to bomb the top politicians of the Tory party, including and mainly because of, Thatcher, were sympathetic to those injured.
The Irish issue is a complex one as we all know. I just hope that the deaths of those two soldiers, does not bring a return to the bad old days of Northern Ireland. But I feel that because of the religious feelings there, it is only a very small step away, from happening all over again.
wow.........
so can I ask what you think of the SDLP then, you know, there leader won the nobel peace prize.... I am just asking because that was a bloody huge brush you just painted the entire nationalist community in northern ireland with........
wow.... for someone who I actually respect for having opinions, that wasn't the ignornant kind of statement I would expect.....
can you put me down as a possible please..... need to get my funs sorted......

ITS A FIX !
How is that useless Doris Colleen, still in it?
She cannot even do the required elements. That should be the main point. She cant even let go of her partner, let alone do a jump.
She is the worst skater ever left at this stage.
It is about " skating on ice ", which she is surely
making a mockery of that one.
GET HER OUT!!!..............NOW. It is a tragedy of injustice how others who are better, have worked harder, and do what is required of them, leave and let this useless frump stay.....she was useless at singing too.

Didn't we have this same discussion re: john sargent and strictly????
if you put the power in peoples hands.... this is what happens, they want a talent contest, and people can stick 2 fingers up and do whatever they like!!!
If you want a proper talent contest, only let those in the know decide who stays and who go's but if the public dont agree you only have yourselves to blame......

One in five guys, think it is ok to slap women...

To slap a woman is NEVER right, but will putting these " thugs " on a register really work??
We have read recently the story of Chris Brown, who beat his girlfriend so badly. But a major problem is that a lot of these women go back to the very guy who hits them.........why?
Domestic violence is a major problem in a lot of homes, and up until recently, the police could not take any action unless the victim, pressed charges. Which most never would, a lot of the times through fear alone.
But new laws mean that the police can act, even without the victims consent, is that right?
The figures on domestic violence are grim to say the least but....will it make a jot of difference to these blokes, these bullys, because that is what they are, to be put on some kind of register?
What makes these guys tick, and what makes these women return to them, even after a severe beating?
A strong subject I know, but one that is worth discussing.

thank you dean for saying what I was going to
it is never right to hit ANYONE....... its a quite personal topic for me, because I know in the scene women who have been hit by men.... and personally men who have been hit by women
its not good regardless of who is hitting who
no monday night quiz tonight... sorry.... in london for meeting this afternoon... so I don't think I am going to be home till late........

Honestly, good luck.
Theres alot of honry men, Just check the chatrooms to see the endless wave of masturbating men.. rolleyes
From a male perspective, This website is pointless.
We joined as a couple, And have now decided we like to play appart from each other too.
Its a heaven for women, Bi/gay or straight. If your a man, Good luck, quiet frankly.
Ive seen so many adverts of women wanted men, couples, guys all wanting NSA with guys.
Now I realise there is a large ratio difference between men and women single. Something simular to 00-1.
But the amount of time I have carefully written out a brilliant message, indivual to every woman, guy couple....all just wasted.
All that effort just for for them to read it and never even say, "sorry, but no thanks"
God damned bloody waste of time if your a single male.. Or shall I say a single white male? because thats right, White guys dont have big dicks too? Isnt this racist? Not all black guys live upto this reputation of W/E never go back bullcrap, And thats from my misses telling me!
My partner, She puts an advert up and the girls and guys are over her like flies on Sh1t.
Quiet frankly id have better time with my money if i was single male, than paying for this ignorant, time wasting un-appreciating community of so called swingers, More like time wasters and posers.
No strings attached? More like No point joining its not fun - You'd have more luck not joining too!

with the greatest of repsect.. you have been here 2 months... I have been here almost 5 years.....
I am not going to flame you.... but i will say what I say to every person who complains...
you get out what you put in......
Do you go to clubs.....
Do you go to any of the socials on the site...
Have you ever used the forums to get to know people....
Have you ever stepped inside the chatrooms....
the site is there to help you help yourself... it is more than just the ads.... if you don't use the site to sell yourself to other people then people can only help you so much......
get out there and sell yourself..... get yourselves known to people... imagine SH to be like a pub, would you expect people to be all chummy with you on your first time in? like nola said.. it does take time and it does take perserverence...
for example.. in your profile it says nothing about the person you are or the people that you are after rather than the basics....
SH hasn't started charging by the word, so start using them....... wink tell people why you are different from the others? give people a reason to say "yes, I have to meet that person"
the successful guys in the scene are not all 6ft muscle bound big dicked behemoths..... they are the guys who go the the socials, who go to the chatrooms, who go on the forums, who can have conversations with people, who made the time to get themselves known........

Senator Ted Kennedy is to be awarded an honorary knighthood by Gordon Brown !!
Is this the ultimate insult to all those people who died in Northern Ireland and England. A man who openly and, more importantly, legally supported the IRA when they were waging their war on the British people ?
All of a sudden it suits America to fight terrorists but back in the day it was legal in America to openly support and raise funds for the IRA and now Gordon wants to start handing out honors to people who supported the terrorists cause !!
I suppose the biggest question is ...
"Why on earth would this man want to accept such an honour ?? "

I would have expected this to be started by Kenty and not by you flower......smile
is it anymore of a slap in the face than for example the likes of gerry adams, or martin mcguinness and verious people on both sides of the then troubles who have turned politicans who are now in big positions of power in northern ireland...
also a bit of clarification on what you wrote......
like him or loathe him, he was a bloody huge factor in getting Clinton and the US involved in the Irish peace process, In getting sinn fein to the table and untimately the good friday agreement
I have had to do the five year plan because I got myself in such a mess financially if I hadn't have stuck to it god only knows where I would be now....
it finished in june... so only 3 months worth of pain to go..... after that... clean slate....
my only plan in life is to be happy and I don't really think you can put a timescale on that......
need some advice i think...
just come home from a night out at a swinging club and had a whale of a time (pervy points ahoy) but something has just happened on the way home and it has left me dazed a bit..
taxi home was going okay.... till suddenly what we think may be a badger runs right in front of it... next thing i hear is a horrible great "thump" on the front, there is nothing he could have done....
anyway I didn't know where we were till i got up to the junction... only 2 minutes from home...
so anyway he drops me off... I, shocked as hell, immediately ring the rspca, taxi driver said he was going to check on the way home...
I thought we had done the right thing
now i am feeling a bit shocked and guilty that we didn't stop, and because we didn't the rspca can't get out to check what state it was in.....
this whole thing has spooked me big time......
I am quite a sappy person anyway... i feel like if i hadn't been there it wouldn't have happened....
i don't know what i am asking... before you all ask, no, not touched a drop of alcohol all night... just in a state of shock i think...
sorry if i am rambling on... just in a semi state of shock i think
sean
for some reason I tend to stick out like a sore thumb.... lol so I normally get "goosed" at the bar......
but i do like going round and looking at new names....
another huge fan of gavin and stacey here.....and a fan of QI
but besides 24, which I am absolutely addicted to ...I need a new fave programme to watch...
Masterchef... finished
Oz and james... finished
Top Gear ..... finished
Hustle.... finished
Spooks..... finished
Glad that the apprentice is coming back.... but sir alan never gets it right!!!!

Can't we just add another definition?
Munch
Social
and Club Meet?
I realise there is an overlap between the three but while we'd be happy to attend either of the first two, the third we'd be far more reticent and I am sure for other folks, the opposite could be true.
I am all for promoting any meet and I see no problem with any of them, provided they are not run for the benefit of the club owner or to profit the organiser, but perhaps there is enough difference between them to warrant club meets having their own little sub-group like meets and munches?
Good point well made Hell & Fabs!

sorry to bring this up again.... but after seeing more and more of the type of meets that the OP was going on about, I think what res proposed is becoming a better and better idea....
Munch, Social, Club meet
it does have the feel of club advertising via the back door at the moment....... and it can be misleading as to what people are signing up for....
I have never been on Ebay
I have never eaten a pizza or a big mac
I have never watched an episode of the X-files
I have never seen any of the "lord of the rings" movies
well I went to my 2nd favourite site... which isn't a swinging one.... lol
and the other reason I love virgin media.... TV on demand.. so watched two episodes on hustle.... and watch this weeks US episode of 24 (its a 2 hr one... its a goodie)
also played some online poker and won another 2 tournaments....
I'd almost consider going pro now......

Hello all.
I'd be really interested to hear other peoples opinions regarding time wasters.
I was stood up today for the second time by the same person. Maybe I'm a little too trusting, perhaps a tad naive. But when I organise to meet with someone I'd expect to meet or at least be given an explanation as to why the no show.
Both meets were arranged at relative short notice, which, you would assume, meant that the other person new they were free or had no prior engagements.
The annoying thing on top of the wasted 90 minute round trip is that when I've attempted to ask the person in question where they were I get nothing.
Is there a protocol for "outing" timewasters, or do I just need to learn from the episode, forget it and move on?
Thanks for reading
Swordsman

I think the 2nd part is probably the path you should follow, dust yourself down, pick yourself up and move on... but maybe the lesson is to get to know the people better before arranging possible meets
no shows just happen to be part of swinging I'm afraid....they may had has good reasons or just might get a kick of messing people around.... I don't get many these days because I make sure of the people I get involved with.....
is this code....... ???
in which case "whiskey tango foxtrot" ????? lol

Spoken to Jason, after he slated her!
I like that....very much!!

Me too!
I quite like Roxy's jibe to Ruthie (although it was fairly childish) but it made me chuckle.
I felt for Rya tonight too... he's cross with himself cause it wasn't perfect... I wouldn't want to see him in the skate off but I'd quite like to see him do it again cause I betcha it'd be perfect second time round! wink
I missed the first two so what was ray like tonight... okay.. i admit it... i am addicted!!!! lol
there is no way they wouldn't save ray in a skate off.... just like there was no was jessica wasn't staying last week....

Whats it like to be right then? lol
It happens soooooooo often with me, I am used to it. wink

actually... there is a school of though that says you mind not be right on this one....
bear with me... this is where it gets complicated...
as the law stands at the moment, has a provision in it that states that the maximum an executive of a "failed" company can get in pension pay of is £27,000
now the bone of contention is going to be if you could count RBS to be a "failed" company since it had to be bailed out before it was sold to/Merged with Lloyds banking group....
that is going to be the bit I bet is tested in court...
Like vince cable has suggested... only pay him that and let him sue for the rest, if his contract is that water-tight he will get the money back....

Umm, I dont know. It would depend on the reason why I didnt like the other person. If I knew the person was sleeping around bareback, or taking silly risks, then yes it would matter to me. It would also matter if I really disliked the person 'personally' as I would begin to doubt my own taste and the taste of the person I was wanting to play with.
However, it was just someone I didnt know too well, and hadnt had any dealings with, then I dont think it would matter as much.
Oh I dont know now and youve got me all confuddled redface

I think you said it better than I could kiss
That would be I think probably the only factor that would concern me
as for the rest.. well they may know them better than I do, or there may be something that clicks between them.... I don't think the rest is my business....
I'd like the apologise to any people if I have been the reason why they haven't played so often....... lol
