:lol: :lol: seriously though... a lot of it for me is now doing the legwork, and at that stage then possibly meeting, whether that is going to socials/munches, or clubs.... or talking to people a lot in chat, seeing what people write in the forums, chatting on phone, and the list goes on and on
I think the best thing I can say now is that the site does give you the tools to help yourself... if some people don't make use of some of these then maybe you should use those as points, if the way that you are using it ends up with timewasting meets, then maybe you should consider the way you use the site....
not having a go.... but it does work for some people, and instead on focusing on the negatives (timewasters) maybe it is worth asking those who have sucessful meet how they go about it in the process......

can you see why the UK and the US is not liked.... the more the US speak out... the more the people can turn round as say "look they may do it again"....

that why the Obama speech in Egypt was a great speech, he laid down a new direction..... the leadership in Iran saw what then happened in the Lebannon elections and it probably spooked them
But any uprising has to come from within and has to have a figurehead from within, he has to look like his own man and not a puppet of someone else
thats why the US and the UK have to play it low key... the story has to be the people on the street against the leaders, and not Iran vs UK/US.....
otherwise the uprising will be killed stone dead again....

As far as I am aware club wise... you may well have to end up treking towards the north east and trying club F which is just outside of Newcastle... we do get a lot of people down from edinburgh and the borders who makes the nights fun....

Now use local regional room...and means you can make friends and meet socially with people. However in my small experiance of them ( I went to two) I found people stayed in their own little regional cliquies. I found them very difficult to mix with people. Regionalisation may have done wonders for chat, but I think it has killed off the munches that made the site great
a lot of munches now feel like one big regional clique... and anyone else from outside that area are made to feel like strangers
people use to travel and it was a great experience to go to them because people from all over the country use to go to them and you did get to meet people that you wouldn't normally do.....
now..... people rarely travel outside there local area... for example... very few people from the mids room now dont go to a yorkshire or a north west social, very few people from scotland would now go to a north east social....
I was glad to see that for the last Leeds munch that a lot of people from the north west made the effort to go over and it makes the whole experience a lot better.... hopefully loads of yorkies make the effort to go across to Wigan in december
the people who still travel all over are rare.. and the loss of that is sad....
