last week i came home from work, more shattered than usual,didnt want to eat and slept. This went on for 2-3 days and i had a banging headache all the time.
my daughter also had the same thing.
i put it down to the constant change in weather, presures at work etc, And i got on with life.
my nephew came home same symptoms and his mum calls the drs, over the phone they say could be swine flu, dont go out, get a flu buddy to collect tammi flu from a chemist we will fax a perscription to and stay in.
ok im not saying he had swine flu, im not saying i didnt.
but thats the thing,no one is actually checking any more, no swabs, just presumption.
now i understand there are some serious cases and im sorry to those who have been ill or lost lives, but the mear sniffle or headache and its swine flu now.
i have even heard people call call up the drs, give the vauge symptons, and call in work and are having a week off. no one is checking.
this will push the figures up.

ive been swinging since i can remember. but lets for legal reasons say 18.
i decided this year to stop. not because i dont love swinging, but because i was sick and tired of non swingers who were here.

i cant imagine what it must be like to have to spend so much of your day in an enviroment that you felt uncomfortable,even threatened in, especially as a child.
can she enroll in some clubs at school that she might like, that way find a new set of friends?
is there a school buddy mentoring scheeme?
on a reputable on line one?
give her childlines tel number, there may be stuff and emotions she feels she cant say to you as she doenst want to upset you?
learning a martial art can always help with confidence, im not saying use violence, and i hope it never comes to that, but knowing you could if you needed to might give her some peace of mind, and exercise is great for mental peace of mind and calm.

on a personal level i know my daughters school you can source your own placement. if you fail to secure one you spend that week within the school, doing stuff they set up. eco stuff, job application practice, interview skills etc.
if a child secures a work placement, unless there is a real cause for concern that the child shouldnt return, then they damm well do.
work experience isnt about free labour but learning about what a full working day can entail, time keeping, dealing with public, etc.
including responsibility and the fact you cant just give up, walk out or let people down.
on a work level.
i dont mind having them in if they are actually interested in the line of work, an dtrust me we do not get any free labour from them, in fact I have to re jog my whole diary to teach guide and educate the young person and ensure what is planned is varied and possible,( i deal with some very confidential information) so that has to be put on teh back burner or i stay 4 hours over my work day to do that work i cant complete casue im baby sitting a year 10.

i watched a programe on the nhs uncovered ,or somthing like that,and it focused on alcohol fulled incidents.
ive also watched police programmes shwoing the levels of violence on teh streets at night from drunken yobs ( male and female)
ive also witnessed the drunken yobs.
yes ok maybe some people feel more confident walking out at club kick out time.
i am a confident person, but im not bloody stupid.
there are loads more fucking idiots who after a few drinks dont give a dam what they do, they are more agressive. they gob off at anyone who even look sat them wrong. they kick cars on passing and this is the adults.
then you get the 12-18 year olds who are pissed up and out to show off.
