As you are aware I regularly host a room (Golds Room, on server 2 in SH). This activity is something I thoroughly enjoy and even if I say so myself I think it's a nice room and there are lots of great people in there to chat to.
Many of the people we chat to are particularly interested in Liberty Elite, the exclusive club we are members of, which is considered by many to be the upmarket club for those persuing a liberated lifestyle. So I thought I would, in finest Wurzel Gumidge style, put my business head on and talk to the club owners about the possibility of them opening on a Sunday afternoon, a day which they normally don't open, exclusively for my SH Golds Room event. I am happy to report that they thought it a great idea and details are set out below.
At this point I have to thank Gina and Colin from Liberty Elite for the deal they have offered to us. Many of the single guys will know how expensive a trip to a club can be for them. And in particular, because Liberty is such a fantastic place, the normal entrance prices reflect this.
The normal club policy is that members are allowed to bring along one guest or guest couple per visit, who are signed in as guests for one night only. Gina and Colin have lifted this ruling for us for this occasion and Silver and I will be allowed to sign in up to 80 people, that being a mix of couples and singles.
The club has a policy for no cameras, and for no mobile phones, so for this social, please leave them at home, thanks.
Entrance, which must be pre-booked with the club is per couple, £20 per single guy and £10 per single lady, to include all club facilities and excellent buffet or a barbeque outside if the weather is good.
I am thrilled to bits with this deal and I am sure you will be too.
The reason we have chosen a Sunday afternoon is that for those who will need to travel, there will be time to get there, have a great time and arrive home again in plenty of time to have a good nights sleep before the Monday morning grind.
I am giving you all plenty of notice about this so if you need to organise child care for the day, you have plenty of time to sort it all out. Grandparents are designed for babysitting, we should know we do it often enough !!

I raised this subject of multiple occupation in chatrooms a while ago. I think its desrupting chat, as many people go into several rooms and dont chat in any of them.
I am reasonably lucky as many people that visit my room on server 2, say that its one of the friendliest rooms as we all chat to everyone. We like to make people welcome. But the onus of course is on the chatters themselves to make the room buzz and vibrant.
I suppose one of the things that makes my room work is the chat is not excluselive about sex, we do politics, music, general stuff, we debate and argue, but its all in good spirit and it comes back to sex in the end.
I do my utmost also not to make it cliquey, and involve all that come in, then they do tend to stay and chat.
The hosts of rooms have a responsibility to make their room welcoming, and this is the most important thing I feel.
Since the new format has come in, we have lost the music aspect as sound doesnt seem to work, this is a shame.
Come on SH take away the multi occupation facility and let people chat in the room they want to be in, and not flutter about all over the place. This is what i think would make things better again.

Could it be that they are Extras members (with the X on their icon)? If they are, you can't tell whether they're watching you or not. If that's not the case, let us know in here so Admin can pick it up as something to look at.

This social is all about quality, not quantity and for newbies who may never have attended a social before, it may well be a perfect introduction to the social element of SH.
Event organising is one of the activites Silver and I do for a living. So it comes as second nature. I make no apologies for trying to achieve a social event that is a little more sophisticated than meeting in the backroom of a pub. You are our friends so therefore you deserve something in a nice environment with a bit of something extra special. This is the second SH event I have organised at this venue, and we are looking forward to it very much. Even if I say so myself, last years event was something quite special and many said it was the best they had ever been to.
This social is a limited capacity of 60 only.
EVENT INFORMATION
The date is Saturday 4th April
There will be a four course dinner, entertainment by one of the country's top tribute artists, disco and a really good atmosphere to let people meet. The event is non profit making, the only cost to you is £15 per person, this covers the cost of the meal. The entertainment is being covered by myself and Silversmith. Obviously if you require accommodation for the night, you can stay at the hotel. The rate for this is per person for double occupancy.
I also have a list of nearby B & B's if you prefer at a lesser rate.
DRESS CODE - Smart casual for the guys, suited and booted if you like, but no denim or trainers please.
For the ladies, elegant and sexy would be lovely, but bear in mind we will be in a private function room, but members of the public who may be at the hotel and of course the staff wont be wanting to see tits out etc. Sexy is good, tarty isnt !!!! Outdoor coats can be left at reception upon your arrival.

This will prevent me from having to collect money on the night, and also prevent meals being booked and people not turning up and us having to pay for them. At 8:00pm we will be escorted to our tables for dinner. The menu is below. If you are vegetarian, there is a suitable alternative. But please let reception know you require this when booking your meal.
After coffee and mints, there will be time to chat and mingle before we start the short cabaret (about an hour for the cabaret should be right I think), when you will be entertained by a fantastic tribute to one of the world's most famous glitz and glamour rock and pop icons. After the cabaret there will be a great disco. There are also plenty of places to sit, chat and flirt, and for those who want to, dance the night away.
The event will run until approximately 1am. But for those who are staying over (!!!!) you can retire to your rooms and carry on with your own brand of entertainment (!!!!) The banging of headboards is an occupational hazard and will probably be ignored. LOL

From a personal point of view that was the best social event to date without exception.
The ambience, entertainment, food and Disco were just perfect. Tamworth suprised me too...what a lovely ickle town.
Most of all and most importantly....the company was exceptional. I only wished I could have chatted to more people. I was also sat with a fantastic bunch of people on my table and to those chaps....thanks for your company. xxx. Loved it!

I have noticed more recently that the chances of being actually acknowledged when entering a chatroom have diminished greatly. I did used to think this was mainly down to people either being engrossed in their own chats, whispering to each other or being plain bloody rude.
I have come to the conclusion that part of it must be because we can now enter as many rooms as we like and therefore the people who are on a list in any given room, might actually not be paying any attention to that room as they are also logged into other rooms.
Whereas in theory it's a nice facility, in practice it stops the usual good chat happening.
I have been into several rooms today, and although there are always the ones where people tend not to say a lot and need some encouragement, most of them were full of people who didnt say a word. I did notice quite a few people in other rooms at the same time, and a couple of them on cam too in more than one room.
Don't we think its sensible to go into one room to chat and if its not what you are looking for, then move on, rather that being in several rooms at once, and saying nothing in any of them.

any site has the potential, and indeed does have a wide cross section of users, and why shouldnt it, its on t'interwebby thing, and as so is accessible to those across the entire globe with an internet connection.
If i never had another shag from here as long as i lived i wouldnt care, but if i wasnt allowed to log in, chat, banter, argue and upset people on the forums, add myself to part lists or arrange to go for a coffee with a member who had become a friend, then I for one would be gutted as well as a tad annoyed.
one of the dictionary definitions of heaven is
6. A condition or place of great happiness, delight, or pleasure
so i say on here....you can get that from shagging OR from making fab friends, having a bit of banter or a thoughtful debate, or even sharing a problem and getting a solution.
Its a big place, why cant we all just use it as we want to without anyone getting all humpty about it?

In our limited experience, I`d say there is a higher percentage of smokers in here than in our real life but it is a tricky one because, how many people actually smoke in social situations nowadays ???
I would love to give up smoking, but I have very little willpower, and I do smoke on cam, after all I am in my own home, and that gives me the right to do as I feel fit. I am often asked why I smoke on cam, and my reply is simple, it's because i choose to. I am also often told I look sexy on cam smoking, which i do admit i find baffling lol.
If people dont like meeting smokers, then of course that's their choice. We wouldn't smoke at a home of someone who doesn't smoke - but we do at our own home, as that's our own territory. It's all a matter of respect and common sense.
I personally have a major aversion to people being so drunk they can hardly string two words together, either in the chatroom or in person.
The debate will run i think ......

Hi everyone
I thought I should let you know straight away that we are having to cancel, or at least postpone the St. Trinians Social in Tamworth on 18th October, due to unforseen circumstances.
Sorry to let you down but something critical has cropped up which means I just wont be able to get it all sorted out, and you all know how i like to have everything just right.
I will be letting everyone know who has put their names on the list.
