Done it, didn't like it. Anyone trying to do it to me would be likely to lose a limb! lol

I second that emotion!

I don't drive a BMW, but they ain't all bad!
There are far more idiots out there who don't drive a BMW. confused

Agreed!
Merc drivers are all without exception, pigs, closely followed by BMW drivers. Which means that if you live near Southall as we do, its a bit of a problem.
I suppose there's no degree of envy here?
2p or not 2p? There was me thinking of the little group of bushes that I find hard to pass without stopping when we've had a night at the local pub. It's obviously psychological.
haven't been to one yet but have talked about it. I think it's on the 'to do' list when a weekend becomes available.
How do you walk into a room full of people you've probably never met before though?
peanut, random, thank you both. You'll be used in evidence and I assure you it will more than likely be held against you!
lol
I love hats, have a couple of big leather Jakaru type bush hats and a few others. They keep the rain off and shelter the sun when it occasionally shines.
The pet hate of both of us it the baseball cap. Why does anyone over the age of 10 wear one unless they're being paid?
and I include myself on the 'real man' list but haven't managed to get permission yet lol
Anyway, Mrs JB has gone with daughters to see Boyzone and there's no way I'd be dragged along. I saw Westlife under protest last year and even Take That. But there's just a little undercurrent mentioning it to friends - aren't they just for girls? (or those of a less than manly disposition!). Or would a real man just go anyway and be above it all?

Not just BMW drivers, Audi, mercedes and anyone driving a works vehicle tend to think they own the road too.
xxxxxxxxx

I was ok on this one until Mercedes drivers were dragged in! I had a BMW but hated the responses of other.
It's the prat behind the wheel that matters, not the badge. I've never met a man that thought he wasn't a brilliant driver, is it a genetic thing? I always hope they'll grow out of it one day but am still waiting.
I'd love to be filmed, during, so I could watch what is about to happen and by/to whom, and see it all on a wide screen wall mounted tv.
Mirrors we've tried but somehow the angles are never right!
Blushing now. redface
does anyone else go to Whitby for the Goth weekend?
We did it on a gravestone in the churchyard by the priory at midnight on halloween, dressed to the nines (stupid expression, what does it mean?) with fireworks going off all around..........Except for us.
It was bloody freezing, the slab was solidifying my arse, jamey was ratted and couldn't keep it up for more than a few seconds......... ok so we've been back nearly every year since but now we use a nice warm bed, the rug in front of the log fire or/and the sofa. lol
Quite a few years ago now I was contacted through 'friends reunited' by a boyfriend that although we'd gone so far we hadn't 'done the deed'. We broke up when we both went off to university in different directions and that was that.
So emails exchanged, phone calls etc. and so we met and finished what we'd started, got it out of the system well and truly, although just the one session (and that was enough), and moved on.
If I hadn't, I think I'd have always wondered what it would be like with him.
Does anyone else have memories unfinished? First loves etc? Or, like me, have they now been sorted?
sorry Fabio you can only have one choice. So which would it be?
I'm too young (just) for the beatles and however wonderful they were (and I do have 'Let it Be' and 'Sgt Peppers' and both compilation red and blue doubles) they just can't compete with the best in the world ever!
Did have gershwin on this morning whilst working though, Rhapsody in Blue, and for chilling music it's a bit special. Goes down well with g&t in the sunshine!

Harry says either Take that or Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon....
I think he's having me on! cool
with Band on the Run a close runner up....oh and Thriller. ( OK, stop now Harry! )
For me....I'll never forget Rio, or Bat out of Hell for particular points in my yoof.
But all time favourite is Paul Simon, Graceland, thats been on every MP3, ipod or compilation I've ever had.

Shouldn't he be shot for suggesting band on the run?
I'd forgotten about Graceland, then 'Bridge over trouble water' came to mind and I wondered what else was in the collection so I sat and spent a wonderful afternoon looking through loads of old vinyl albums! Oh wonderful memories.........
Does anyone remember 'Curved Air'? Parental influence there, but it's an album I loved one time.
my other half regularly uses the specialists in the CAB in his work and always suggests that anyone with a day or more a week going spare should get involved. For the advisors the training is long, as it should be, and very demanding at times but there's usually admin staff or receptionists needed.
It's always good to give someting back to the community.

If there was a "Thanks but no thanks button" then the sender would be mailed straight back with the buttons that have already been installed for the rejected person.
Number one responds with "Why?"
Number two responds with "Well I was only doing you a favour"
Number three responds with "But you are fat, you should be grateful"
Number four responds with "Was it my picture that put you off? I'll send one with my clothes on this time"
Number five responds with "F*** off you w******s. Do you think you are so special to reject me. You should be grateful that I even replied to your sad advert you t*****r"
etc.
Dave_Notts

Oh dave, you are so wonderful! My keyboard is being prepared for alterations already and your ideas for our auto-response buttons would be much appreciated? I need responses along the lines of 'what on earth makes you think I'd be interested in you' or 'my god, can you really be serious?' Keys F1 to F12 are available as I've honestly no idea what they're for! lol
I refer to my earlier post and second that little word that I've seen on here a couple of times : 'snip'
A very close friend is registered with loving links (a discrete liason agency), she wants and needs an active sex life and her hubby is not only working down London monday to friday but doesn't have much of a sexual appetite anyway, and never has. However she's been involved with a very nice local man that's giving her everything she needs, and he, apparently, isn't getting it at his home either. Therefore two happy people! Isn't life wonderful?
My morals are fluid, except honesty is essential. So when you read this Jamey........... think on!
Taling book? Wrong! Sorry, but even Innervision is a better Stevie Wonder album (ok, that's just an opinion so I may be wrong but it's unlikely).
Look, I made a statement of fact on this. It is the best. Ever. And will always be so. I should have made it clear that I wondered 'what's second best?' Ok?
Must go shopping though, there's some interesting views coming up. lol
She's wrong. Mr Jamey this time, and it's a first for me.
George Michael may be ok and he was good live but Moody Blues and 'A question of balance' is as close to perfect as possible. Closely followed by Queen and 'night at the opera'. Or anything by Blondie, or is that me being influenced by a woman built like a godess with the voice of an angel?
And having read another thread, regarding married men, I'd just like to say that the likelyhood of the other half cooking anything that isn't using the ping method is slim to non-existant! Does she know that this house has a kitchen?
damn, forgot transformer! Close but no cigar.
Very close.
Bugger, and now that's reminded me of Songs of Leonard Cohen. What a stupid thread this was. lol
I have no problem with married men, in fact I have one of my own. If he plays away without permission though I shall set up a webcam and demonstrate in graphic detail the artistic way to disect a penis and other parts of the male anatomy. I will then, and forgive me on this one as my cooking skills leave a great deal to be desired, pan fry diced penis and testicle with a hint of garlic and serve it to him on a bed of watercress! If the shitbag leaves a morsel then he's really going to be in trouble! lol
If any other married men want to play on here though it's no problem for me. My morals are fluid.

faith is the second cure album ( better than the george michael ) album
The best album ever made has to be Never Mind the Bollocks heres the Sex Pistols.
They only made this one album and it has been the most influential album in the last 30 years.
top that if you can blast

not a bad choice, just the wrong one! lol

Meatloaf, Bat out of Hell, may be brilliant, depending on the mood.

Personally, my mood always lifts when listening to this.
Infact, I am off to see him in concert again next week and even though his voice is not as strong as it was 30+ years ago, he still does a fantastic live version of Bat Out of Hell.
Im getting excited now just thinking about it lol
Am off to see him too! Blickling (Norfolk), live he's just awesome, saw him two years ago and if he's half as good now as then I'll be thrilled. Love all his albums too. Just not as good as Faith! Sorry, you're wrong
no flower, no no no no no!
Nothing ever recorded by Duran Duran can ever in a million years be classed as any good! Honestly!!!!! Trust me on this one please.
Bloody fantastic live though! My knickers would have been thrown at the stage if I was close enough.

I've just had a really shit day and on the way home just listened to the wonderful sexy voice of dear George (who just hasn't yet met the right woman).

Marvin Gaye? Ok, sometimes. Ravels 'Bolero' is just for a long comfortable screw, and you need to have seen the film. But 'Faith' is just like a Martini, anytime anyplace. So what's the ONE best album in the world and why?

Faith was definately a "here and now" album for me ... Can`t say I was particularly into it at the time but I still think you had to be around to really appreciate it lol
But !! best album ?? Bugger confused I don`t know !!
I`ll have to think about it .
10cc , The Who , Sade , Led Zepellin OMG there`s so many
What about
Duran Duran .....Rio ??
What about Duran Duran? Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!! And oh yes I was around for Faith. I want your sex, And again, and again and again.

Have kept away from this strand, there's been some good advice though. Basically it's a long term lifestyle change, excercise and use more fuel than you take in and the weight should slowly come down. Even better is that the body will tone itself up a little and the internal organs will recuperate.
One of the unfortunate pieces of advice that seem to be all over the place is cut out alcohol. Isn't a little supposed to be beneficial, red wine especially?
Is the independent ok to read?
have had a shite day and reading some of the comments on here, however dumbass and controversial, have brought a smile. So a big thanks to everyone!
Oh, and a mega large g&t may have helped lol

Ahhh but Im not "glad to be" British either...I'm just glad to "be" the be being the operative word. I'm really not bothered about whether I'm British, French, Spanish or whatever. To me my nationality is just something I "happen" to be rather than anything I want or am proud or glad of. kiss

totally spot on! If nationality or/and religous ethics/fervour vanished would there be peace?

I wonder who's carrying the extra kilos?

Well it really doesent matter in the grand scheme of things. Afterall, who would be desperate enough to meet you after your ignorant outbursts? rolleyes
Ignorant? Moi! Well there's probably quite a few things that I could be accused of, and possibly guilty of a few of those too. But ignorance? Oh, that hurts.
Is it not possible to have a difference of opinion on here without resorting to insults? Do we all have to like the same things? Oh wow, let's all wear grey cardigans, taupe crimplene slacks and sensible shoes and curl up with cocoa somewhere admiring our cats.
Lighten up, please.
just a thanks to Jaymar and Phuckers! Hugs to you both for lightening up a dull and boring day!
Now try and be extra wonderful and please try and explain to one that enjoys comfort and the little luxuries usually found in bottles with corks (ok, screwcaps these days usually) how a hubby can enjoy running around for hours in the mud shooting little balls of paint at other people trying to shoot back!
Then, in an hour or two, the little darling will come back needing a beer or seven and then sit and watch 22 grown men kicking a ball about!
Is there medical treatment available for this condition? If so, is it on the NHS? lol
