I had it about 3 years ago, and no its not nice, woke up one morning to find i had lost all the feeling / use of the right side of my face, I thought I'd had a strokewas pretty scary at the time
Anyway, was diagnosed and the eyepatch is because your eye cant blink, so you have to keep it shut or the eyeball dries out (blek) I looked like a cross between the Phantom of the Opera and Captain Hook.
Anyway, the condition cleared up after a while, but I still get severe pains down the right side of my face sometimes and was just wondering if anyone knew if this was normal.

I get severe pain down the right side of my face. Thanfully not too often!! but that is down to neuralgia. Luckily it lasts no longer than around 30 mins but it is absolute agony. Some people get it continually!! If your teeth feel numb when you get the pain then it could be neuralgia!! Most of the pain i get is around the temple area!! Its something to do with the trigeminal nerve if i remember rightl

Mate of mine had it back when we were in our 20' all had bikes back then and the doc told him it was probably due to the winter wind on his face ( he had an open face helmet and no scarf) He totally recovered after maybe 5 weeks or so.
Having said that a friend of my mother had it in her 50's and she wasnt a biker
She recovered after about the same time but only about 90% but you wouldnt really notice unless you knew that she had suffered from it.As to what princess said about it being funny :) I know its not funny for the sufferer at the time, but when my mate had it, we were falling about in a night club! and to make it worse we would make him laugh, making the paralysis stand out even more :twisted:

We did one of us having an MMF, but the only thing was I spent so much time doing the director/camaraman bit, it ended up being H shagging the other bloke. I think I only made a couple of appearances in it and got banned from ever doing another one :shock:
