I think the main things are - how much you truly want to keep from your fiend (and why) - how perseptive he is ,and how much you wanna keep him as that friend (which i think is loads - otherwise why ask opinion?)
I regard myself as fairly perceptive, and have been involved in situations where I have known a friend has been up to something, only for them to deny it stubbornly for a week or two, then admit it - when its all gone sour.
If you two can behave infront of him and really dont fancy him 
then surely there is no problem?
If you do fancy him (go on :twisted: ), and you proceed further - would that be a problem?
I dont see why, unless he is in a serious, monogamous relationship and you would feel guilty over betraying that.
(after-all, you said he is a sexual predator - take from that he is up for it 24/7)

A similar (though not as sever) thing happened to me.
Out on a nice night out with work, went for a taxi, woke up in the back of an Ambulance! And never saw one F@**ing copper.
I had to go to them , and even then they didnt give a shite!
But, as for the electric gates - I am no "elecric gate expert" but there is surely a manual overide on those things for just such an instance?

I think everyone is gonna have their own opinion and feelings towards this kind of thing (and and are more than entitled to that) - just loke some people berate the kind of folk who enjoy this kind of place.
I could imagine giving it a good go, and it being successful, but what if you grow more attached to a particular person in this "poly" relationship - natural feelings would surely take over? - both for yourself, and everyone else involved. Could see things getting tricky, unintentionally :shock: :?
