Sadly I am not sure SH seems to do logic - probably as it's too obvious!

one way to get round re-classifying images - don't let anyone on the site. This is happening way too often
When you click on a profile to see the person's details rather than clicking view profile which as you say takes you away from chat click their ID (in blue) at the top of the box and this will open a new window showing their profile - works on a laptop not sure about a phone. Chat is then not lost

What they were saying on Lush last night is that the tech behind current chat is outdated which is why it keeps crashing. The beta chat and old chat 'clash' which causes the chat to go down. Seems like they are treating Lush as a guinea pig to iron out all the problems- think they will be ironing for a while! but once running properly it will be much better. I am yet to be convinced, as you say all looks rather amateur and no comms is far from ideal. They seem to think a forum post is informing the site users without realising most forum user don't use chat and vice versa. Seems like we are stuck and will have to see how it pans out
like last night, can't change rooms. Lush has beta chat only now and there were so many complaints yesterday. Given they only have about 100 people on chat at a time I dread to think how many complaints there will be here with up 1000 Globally in chat. Admin seem uesless and the Mod's here haven't been told what is going on, receipe for disaster

Your MVP was way wide of the mark - not sure who wrote your user stories or who signed off rolling out with such basic features not working. I know that you developers all say that your coding is self documenting but as a user that just doesn't wash - a user guide is essential on a public site.
Whoever is your development manager needs a quick crash course in application management and remember if you're agile then quality is "built - in"........
Failure to spend money on decent service management will cost you big bucks as your users leave in droves for a site that actually works.
Time to pop onto trust pilot and facebook to review the site there too
As users seems we are not deemed worthy of consultation before major changes to see what we the user would like, just new things imposed upon us 
I've had more success (or less failures depending on your viewpoint) using the windows camera facility on my laptop, at least you can position things to your liking as you have a big screen (compared to a phone) to see what you are snapping. Not much use I know if you only have a (not so) smart phone
One thing that does amaze me and this cuts across all profiles is how many photos there are that were taken 10-15 years ago, so unless SH members have the elixir of youth it does paint a slightly false image of people. I know the private pics may be more up to date but surely a new body shot or doctored image could be added to give a more accurate impression and replace an out of date public image
