I am not qualified to reply to the original post any better than already done. But to expand on the discussion I think there are two types of people on here. Those that have opened their capacity to love and party as something to be spread widely and those that hold it precious and are more reserved in what they do. Neither outlook is wrong but both groups get upset by the other maybe more than we should. I think the main problem is the line between genders is clearly drawn and there is an overwhelming number of single males making it very competetive,

Its difficult to maintain lots of connections. For every 50 interesting chat and connections we have probably only 1 really lasts to........ something more. Most drift out to nothing. The only time we will block is when conversation has dried up and they start to bug.

We enjoy rough sex very much but there has to be trust. Doing with strangers is a risk and exposing both parties to misunderstandings.

Have given this some thought recently. I find in a swinging context "curious" is that you are comfortable with people of the same sex in a setting including people of the opposite sex. Bisexual is a more fundamental interest in the same sex and would even consider meeting or having a relationship with them. 

I think the meanings we attach to them inside the "lifestyle" are slightly different to out in the "real" / other world.
