you mention Manchester in some of your posts above i attended as part of my wish to photograph social history what i seen that was to sides at odds i seen 1 side lay it's cards on the tables and say what they were about the other played cloak and dagger claiming 1 thing but showed themselves in the shadows to be what they were about
let me open the statement above the UAF Unite Against Fascism they are what they say on the the tin
EDL English Defence League against the turning of the UK into a Islamic state they are not racist etc. etc. really I watched this group of individuals listened to them and I'm sorry there fascia is in truth a cover for an alliance of football hooligans who can't find the thrill of the war on the terraces any more and have banded under this claim to be loyal subjects wishing to defending from the invading masses 2 million of this country are Muslim of them very few wish for a Muslim state (i can see the reason for mass demos etc) so i question why splinters of this group known members who are non racist would wonder round chanting racist slogans and when a group of 40 plus seen 5 asian youths (minding there business) turned and hunted them like a pack of dogs the only thing to save these lads were they tuned the right way and ran through lines of police officers
if the EDL are so proud of this country and there allegiance to Great Britain it openness and fair play why did they see any 1 with cameras press badges etc. as the enemy i thought freedom of the press was part of the cornerstone of this country UAF have no issues with the media or cameras been around
i also found a lot of the individuals from the EDL proved themselves to be very homophobic and some what miss guided as having long hair quantified been gay and or a paedophile so god forbid what such pure breeds would think of us as a community
