Just a quick question, is it a munch or a social? Only asking cos I thought it said it was posted as a munch now its posted as a social??? (I know there is a slight difference but not sure quite what it is yet lol)

This event is now a social because it is not confirmed that all attendees will be Swinging Heaven members
Thanks Dawnie biggrin
I share my birthday with
Princess Eugenie and Reese Witherspoon
No interesting events happened only some space shuttle got lauched (obviously my birthday is an exception to this lol )
Thats about it really!!

You shouldn't have to apologise for having an idea, just because some others don't like it. If no-one had ideas then we would never make progress. The thread was probably locked because there was nothing more to say really.

Totally agree with this it allows people the opportunity to express their views. There was no way of predicting the reponse until you'd posted so well done for provoking debate.
Why it was locked I don't know. Some threads seem to go on forever, while others, such as yours, get locked fairly rapidly. I don't know what the criteria is but it was refreshing to read the fairly unanimous views.
totally agree with the above.
I have wondered this also. Have to admit tho on our profile there is only pics of me as mr lyns doesn`t join in so I don`t feels its necessary.

the ads for catalogues for 'the larger sized woman', yes they show size 20 models, but they are all 6 foot 3 tall!! show your damn clothes on size 20 women who are flippin 5 foot 3 like me!

With you on that one, its always annoyed me mad .
I agree with you on parts jaymar. To be honest tho there are other dogs which have infliced harm including death such as rottweilers, a while ago a 5 month old baby was killed by one. So although I agree that the dogs covered by the dangerous dogs act are dangerous there are still a few breeds which arn`t covered which maybe should be!. I doubt tho that any of the dangerous dogs covered will be "got rid of" completly.
I for one had never heard of 3 out of the 4 dogs covered by the act in this country!!.
This link shows the dogs covered if anyone is unsure what dogs they are.

We don`t have a dog ourselves however my mum does and he is a big german sheppard (police dog trained) but as daft as a brush. I would never trust him 100% around my two girls neither would my mum or stepdad even tho he was brought up around kids from a young age.
Hope this makes sense to somone else bar me lol

who is the best swinger

Does that make me a great swinger :giggle:
This is the only swinging I'm any good at.

I`m sure your a great swinger :rascal: passionkiss
I think more than anything it would just be un-workable (is that even a word :lol2: ). How would it work?, I tend to only go into my local room, and I would imagine alot of people tend to stick to the same rooms so it would be really difficult to get an unbiased outcome imho.
I personally sometimes go on cam but don`t generally get "naughty" on cam I just do it so people can see who they are chatting to, even if the camera is just pointed at my boobs!! lol.
I also don`t mind getting a wink or two :rascal: but I hate it when I get a wink, look at the profile and there is nothing to see, no text, no picture no nothing.
I had a baby 5 months ago, if the government had been "offering" free money to encourage me to eat more healthily would I have taken it??, of course I would have. Would I have spent it on healthy food?? nope, I buy healthy food already no ready meals in our house etc BUT when I was pregnant all I wanted to eat was hot bread and butter pudding and squirty cream :lol2:.
I guess what im trying to say is that you can throw all the money at the world getting people to eat healthy food but if they dont want to eat it they won`t.
Does that make sense to anyone but me?? prob not :lol2:
On another note though getting £125 (or however much it is going to be) wouldn`t in the slightest encourage me to have another baby.

I am too nice for my own good, and don't like to think I have upset or offended anyone (it bothers me greatly if i think i have - even if i havent)
Usually I would ignore anyone that we werent interested in - bad i know, but see reasons stated above (thats why I'm on medication!!!!)
but i had a pm that specifically asked for a reply even if we werent interested, but i dont know what to write.
so....how do i word a polite refusal, I need help desperately please (with sugar on) biggrin

I also struggle with this but a simple "thanks for your interest however at this moment in time you are not what we are looking for. Best of luck with your search mr and mrs B". Or something along those lines should be sufficiant.
I was round my friend house when her little boy was about 3 and he said to me "lyns you haven`t got a willy have you??". To which i replied "no I haven`t" so he says to me "thats cos you`ve got hairs" :giggle:

I think expectant mothers should get all the help that they can, whether they work or not.
If not giving them the cash, them give them some sort of voucher to use for fruit and vegetable produce etc.
Louise

But why Louise? Can common sense not prevail? I agree some expectant parents may need advice and I 100% back that but you cannot pay someone to be healthy and you can certainly not pay them and even if they were given financial help for the pregnancy they cannot expect that for the rest of their lives.
When I had my daughter 16 years ago, there was nothing, no FIZZ (as it was called then), no WTC, FTC, no back to work schemes, no lump sum when the child was born, no nutritional advice, no tokens for me, nothing because I was penalised for working full time and received a salary.
I did however receive a 'bounty pack' consisting of free samples of baby food and money off coupons.
No on this occasion I disagree with you Louise, people need to be educated on healthy eating and they should want to do it not paid to do it and I'm sorry I don't buy this "being healthy is too expensive" because eating fruit and veg is by far cheaper than most convenience foods! smile
I suppose what I was trying to say is that if mothers on benefit receive this payment then working mothers should get it to.
I totally agree that many young girls are using the system to their full advantage. I also agree that not enough is being done to educate about healthy eating. Although that aspect of things I believe that the parents of these young people should have been educating them already.
I do also believe that not enough is being done to get young mothers back to work after having children.
Then again I believe that not enough is being done to help these young people to get into work after they leave school or college.
Personally I think that if you are able (not unwell)to work and are on benefits then you ahould be made to do so, to collect your benefit. Which could be working in the voluntary sector, cleaning the streets, work experience of any sort. Anthing that would make you want to work for a decent wage instead of working for benefits.
The thing I did disagree with is the generalisation that any extra money given to expectant mothers would be spent on cigarettes and booze.
Louise xx
It looks like all expectant mothers are going to recieve it.
Quote by Lilmiss
I've just been watching the news and seen that the government have decided they are going to give £200 to each expectant mother when they get to the 7th month of there pregnancy to buy food for a healthier baby...
I personally do not agree with this.. I feel that the unborn children will not benefit from this but the parents weekly cigarette and alcohol habits will.
What are your thought on this???

I have just re read the first post and I'm curious, is the grant only going to be available to those on benefits or to all pregnant women?.
I`ve just found an article about this on the bbc website
After reading it I feel that if the gov are determined to pay it then it needs to be paid earlier on in the pregnancy and it needs to be paid in vouchers or something similar as it will be open to abuse if it isn`t.
I always reply to any pms even if it is a polite thanks but no thanks. I would imagine somepeople recieve alot of pms and simply just do not have time to reply to them all, others just will not reply for whatever reason. Don`t be to dis-heartened im sure it happens to all of us at some point or another. As it has already been mentioned you could maybe get to know people in the forums or chat rooms. Good luck with your search biggrin
Just re read the first post and have read it differently second time round. So without sounding like im ripping the post appart some puntuation etc would have made it easier to read and understand. lol. Just my opinion.

Yep I agree Lilmiss - and I remember from my A level biology days that the fetus actually does all it's growing and developing in the first three months so eating better food after month seven is actually pointless. Any deficencies will have already had their affect on the growing baby. Months seven to nine is simply fat depositing time...
Another ill-thought through idea me thinks! rolleyes

 my thoughts excatly.
