Being ambidextrous makes things either really difficult or really easy for me in gymnastics- normally gymnasts have a preference for doing skills one sided ie always spinning on the right foot, turning to the right, cartwheeling with the right foot, taking off from the same foot.
Unfortunately i do different things on different legs- going backwards i'm a 'righty' and forwards i'm a lefty. i spin either way but jump to my left, and leap on my left, but i get very confused when learning new twisting tumbles and i often do the first part of a twist going one way, and instead of keeping twisting in the same direction, something often seems to make me twist back on myself (which is how i came to rupture my ACL- cruciate ligament and why i always land on my head in training!)
Archery really confuses me, as the target always switches- (maybe it's something to do with your dominant eye?) so I never know which way to face.
Same with surfing- i never know which way to stand...

i had a horrible horrible dream last night that den had died :-(
in the dream, it hadnt sunk in until i got an email frrom a friend who didnt know, inviting the pair of us rround, then the rest of the dream all i did was bawl my eyes out. in the dream, den had hidden away some secret pictures and messages, as if he'd planned for it- it was the worst dream i've ever had.
I think it came from watching hollyoaks that day- the only programme i watched- one of the characters had recently been murdered and they found a letter he wrote before hand, also, yesterday i had gotten an email from a friend saying he had to catch up with both of us- the same one i dreamt about.
Den is away this weekend so i've been phoning and texting him a millione times- but a really horrible night! :-(
