Prompted by bluexxx's thread about which comedy character you are, I was pondering busting out one of the dvds from my boxset of The Big Bang Theory.
I own four tv box sets: The Wire, The Big Bang Theory, Sex & the City and Tremé.
Looking at them on the shelf, I was wondering could you 'tell' anything about me from those choices?

I can't say that I'm in the asexual camp, but it makes perfect sense to me that people are.
In the past, I've probably naively been guilty of associating asexuality and celibacy. I obviously know the two are completely different, but it's probably due to asexuality not being discussed that much.

I'm working from home today, got lot's of real work to do. also have lots of other things to do, such as packing, ringing utility companies getting phone/broadband sorted out in new house, the list is endless and I don't know where to start.
I did promise my boss that I would get some long overdue admin sorted but I keep looking at it shuffling it about and looking at something else instead.

I like to make a to-do list. I deliberately put some things at the top which I know I can achieve easily and get them crossed off. Then I feel a sense of accomplishment and am (mostly!) persuaded to get the rest done.

Although Neil was no longer as prevalent on the forum as he once was by the time I started posting, I always enjoyed his replies and respected his ability to put forward a well worded and thought out opinion (or just tell someone they were talking bollocks - whichever was more appropriate).
We exchanged a few PMs and I had always hoped to meet in person for a chat, the sad news of his passing is a bitter reminder to seize the day.

I don't think Neil would've realised how many people probably thought this. I remember I was super chuffed to meet the man behind the forum posts when I first met him.
Kinda makes me think how grateful I am for the forum part of this site. I might not have found many meets via purely forum interactions, but I do have a hell of a lot of friends through the forum.

I found the swinging scene by accident. I had no idea of the experiences I would have, or the friendships I would make. I made no conscious effort to find the scene, I made no conscious effort to stop swinging. But as my signature says (You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave) I can't walk away.
The reason I can't walk away from the scene, is moments like this. Yes, it is tragically sad as to why some people are here posting again, but on Facebook I have friends and acquaintances from this scene, and they are why I can never leave. That link will always be there and even if there is no swinging occurring, the bond that ties is there.
And I suppose that while I am still around the scene, then the scene will be still around me, and I do still have some unfinished business with some people.

My first house party where I am sure I looked like a rabbit caught in headlights for most of it :eeek: was also pretty fun. It wasn't so much the stuff that was going on which I found shocking, more the sheer logistics. How many people? And where are they going to...?
