im about tonight too!!, PM sent!
TBH one of my friends runs their mechanical diesel engine on fresh oil from a chinese food supplier in the summer months, the car also runs better believe it or not...
so he can use diesel/vegetable oil or a mixture of both
used oil has to be processed before use i believe?
wouldnt be easy to drill the head but i guess anything is possible eh, im sure some nutcase has done it
then again compression would be too high anyway eh
the EGT must be in line with a petrol mixture then...otherwise as you say it wouldnt be possible to use LPG on a cat equipped car
using it on a turbocharged car im not so sure about....it has a higher octane than petrol but has a lower calorific value, it would also lower intake temps due to phase change (unless this happens before the injection point/s) so it seems it gives with one hand and takes with the other...
dont think a diesel can be converted?, no sparkplug?, LPG may not be suitable for compression combustion?
boot space isnt an issue for me as the car has two boots (mid engine car), the front boot is not used so wouldnt miss it really
time to fill up maybe....
i have been looking at LPG conversion...the price is 50% of fuel and thats a big difference
costs about £1000 to have the system fitted though but at this rate we could see that repay itself in less than 10 months eh
food for thought
hi
anyone else feeling this price increase at the moment?...i was told there is a protest planned for saturday (that may turn out not to be true) from some of the forums i go on
hitting £50 per week now just to get into work! , how long will it be before we see per litre..?
