deviated pervert...
did i say i wasnt a vet???
laws relevant to it.....working dogs that stand a good chance of breaking their tail...ie undergrowth etc...can have their tails docked by a vet....but not all vets do the op...

Fair enough, I'll take your word as to whether you're appropriately qualified or not, since I don't want to start an argument.
Let me guess, you've got Impetigo?
I had that several years ago, ended up shaving off my beard as it was coming out in lumps. I went to a job interview looking a bit like Freddie Kreuger, but got the job anyway.
I don't have any quick fixes, but from experience the antibiotic cream I was prescribed began to work quite quickly, so that after a couple of days I just looked a bit red and swollen rather than like something out of a dodgy horror film.

Mrs Bushwacker wants to go to Whitley Bay this weekend, is there anything around there.

I believe Club 2000 is in Whitley Bay, link on the clubs & Parties page. I've never been so I can't give any guidance as to whether it's any good or not.

cancelled docking friends pups tails

I thought docking tails was illegal these days, it certainly is if you're not a qualified vetinary surgeon.
Lemsip's ok, but remember it contains a hefty dose of paracetamol.
Proper honey and lemon (two teaspoons of clear honey, juice of one whole lemon in a mug, topped up with hot water, add a small teaspoon of powdered ginger or cinammon if you like) tastes far better and you can drink as much of it as you like.

wait a sec DP.
I still think Tony Martin was right to do what he did.
he was protecting himself, and his home.
i still believe a woman has the right to protect heself.
even sparying and areosol can, in the face of her attacker.
but the laws in this country are inadequet.
for someone to protect themself, from attack, and then get get done themselves.
is rubbish. the person who went to attack someone, should not be able to charge, someone who attacks them back.

Do you seriously think that it's reasonable to fire a deadly weapon at somebody who's leaving your premises when you're under no immediate danger from them?
The laws in this country are perfectly clear: you have the right to defend your person and property by using 'reasonable force'. Tony Martin was not defending either his person or his property, he went well over the line of what is acceptable and was quite justifiably convicted and imprisoned for it. We may not like burglars in this country, but I don't in all honesty believe that they deserve to be shot just for being a burglar.
If you actually look at countries where it is permissable to kill people for entering your property then you'll find a great many cases of people shooting their neighbours or family members by mistake, not a situation I'd want to happen in this country.
Sorry for the thread hijack, but I think it does have some relevance, albeit somewhat tangentially.

any sexy ladies live in loudwater or high wycombe

Quite probably, but I doubt many of them are that interested in meeting somebody who can't be bothered to find out where to put a post like this - for future reference it should go in Let's Meet Up, not the cafe.
If you're lucky this is going to be moved to LMU, if any of the mods are feeling grumpy this morning it'll probably get locked/deleted.
Hope you find what you're after, but please don't post ads like this on this forum.
You can certainly tell who bothered to read the article all the way to the end:
"Now look here. The above picture is something that we knocked up in the office. If you check out the description it says "Artist's impression of what doctors might have seen". Of course it's not a real X-ray. It wasn't even meant to look like a real X-ray. It was a visual gag, a joke. The story, however, is true. Do you see what we've done now?"

At the end of the day this 'thing' will never be legal in this country, i think the very sad fact is there is not protection against , its something that has always been about and always will be, even when things are bough out to try and protect people its soon made ilegal cause but all acounts the criminal has rights too, its ok for a guy to a woman but if she sprays pepper spray in his eyes shes in the wrong, and will more than likely be charged with it, its a odd word we live in when you can't carry things about to protect yourself, and even if the rapest is cough you then have to go thro the ordeal of proving ur the victim which at times can be as bad as the act itsself.

You may not be able to wander around with pepper spray, but hairspray or deodorant works just as well when sprayed into the eyes or down somebody's throat. Gas-powered attack alarms are perfectly legal and are quite capable of perforating an eardrum if you let one off within a foot or so of somebody's head.
At the end of the day, we have a set of laws that says nobody is allowed to wander around with an offensive weapon. I think that's a good thing, apart from anything else, if it were legal to wander around with pepper spray, how long do you think it would take muggers and rapists to start using the stuff?
Incidentally, can anyone actually point me in the direction of a recent (last 20 years will do) case where somebody has been prosecuted or successfully sued for using reasonable force against an attacker? Before anyone mentions Tony Martin, I'd point out that he shot somebody in the back with an illegally-held shotgun when they were leaving his house and he was on the first floor. I don't think that's reasonable force in the circumstances, and neither did the jury.

I have a BA as it is deemed a vocational degree not a science!! believe it or not.

It's also not a degree currently available (whether BA, BSc, or indeed any other undergraduate degree) at any UK institution (at least not according to UCAS).

PhD my fLucking arse.

Yes, they always put "Cantab" after degrees from Cambridge, not "Cambridge". I smell a rat! lol lol
Not to mention that if there was a first degree in sexology it'd almost certainly be a BSc, not a BA.

Its is easy to say when your a 6ft5 guy

Looking at it from another POV, I'm 6'2", built like a brick outhouse, and know how to handle myself in a fight, but if somebody really wants to stop me doing something then gouging my eyes out, attempting to rip off my ears/nose, an old-fashioned kick to the knackers, etc, etc work just as well on me as on a 5' bloke who's 7 stone wet through.
Personally I've always had the philosophy that I'd much prefer to go down fighting than give in to an attacker or attackers, whether they're after my wallet or my ringpiece. People might consider me stupid for that, but I'm a stubborn bastard who hates being taken advantage of.
As for these devices, they're a nice idea but I'm not sure how well they'd work out in practice, for various reasions. A decent course of self-defence classes is probably a much better investment.

According to the BBC thee's currently no panic.
If people do keep thier heads and avoid panic buying we may well find that the blockades aren't as effective as they were last time. smile

I know it will be inconvenient, but actually I hope they are effective. I'm pissed off paying for everything the Government needs money for, just because I put fuel in my car. The tax should be a fair levy to be used for travel-related expense, not compensating for other areas where the revenue isn't so high.
Mal
Whilst I might be tempted to agree with people who say we pay too much tax on fuel (especially biodiesel, which is taxed almost as heavily as normal diesel even when it's used for applications where people would normally be able to use red diesel), I can't agree with people who (based on their previous form) threaten violence against tanker drivers and compromise the effectiveness of the emergency services.
If they want to protest, they can do what everyone else does and march through the centre of London or other major cities. I doubt they will though, as it'd very quickly show exactly how few committed supporters they have.

I know men who have used their own beer belly for a self-service

Either I'm exceptionally under-endowed (which I don't believe to be the case), or I don't have anything like as big a belly as I thought I did. smile
Well we bought our current house mainly because it was about a minute's walk from the local shop and chip shop, and five minutes from the Metro station, so I suppose we qualify as fairly lazy, or at least not keen on walking long distances.
When I used to drink I often bought two pints at a time because I couldn't be bothered to keep going back to the bar.
Cricket, definitely.
Cupids will still be there next week, whereas we might be winning the Ashes for the first time in far too many years. Having said that, we might yet lose this match, I just hope the rest of the team bat a bit better than Bell, who might well have passed up any chance of touring Pakistan and India this winter.
Well I don't drive and haven't used a bus since I moved up here from Brum, so the main inconvenience I'll face is hordes of people using the Metro 'cos they can't get around by car or bus.
< rant>
These bloody fuel protestors still get my goat though, what right do they have to bring the country to a halt in an effort to pay less tax whilst screwing up both the local environment and the planet? I apologise to all the drivers on here as I don't intend to have a go at any individuals, but the fact remains that we move far too much stuff around this country by road instead of rail or water transport (we have a perfectly good canal and river network, why not use it for non-perishable or time critical goods?)
Fair enough if people want to protest, but bully-boy tactics like blockading refineries go beyond the pale and are simply indefencible as far as I'm concerned.

yeah..lt's pretty groundbreaking, that's why Im gonna do my masters degree in it.
Flash gurus like Brendan Dawes and Samuel Wan are well into it and only expo's it at FlashForward in San Fransisco last year...
go on... tell me about the usenet posting and i'll tell you about the ActionSript class you can download for MX 2004.

Well basically it stated that (at least in the eyes of male geeks) female geeks become stunningly attractive at the moment they attain the local age of consent, and remain so until approximately half an hour after clinical death has occured, possibly longer if it's a warm day. bolt
Personally I've never played around with Actionscript, I'm a sysadmin so I tend to code in Perl or Bourne Shell, and prefer not to if at all possible (why spend my time programming when I can download a script written by a far better programmer to do what I require?) In the past I've studied Smalltalk and C++, and played around a bit with Java, as well as learning bits and pieces of HTML, CSS, SQL and lots of other things with strange names, though I've never been enough of a deviant to make a serious attempt at learning Visual Basic. I used to be able to speak fluent SMTP and HTTP, but it's been a while since I've had to look after email or web servers, so I'm a bit rusty these days.
A mate of mine on hearing the Mick Jagger/Marianne Faithful urban legend commented that Cadbury's Creme Eggs worked quite well.

how many total computer geeks are there on this forum then?
it seems like a fairly impressive showing!
bet none of them are girls smile not that i dont wish some were!
its rare to find anyone who know what the hell you're on about...
i wrote BBC BASIC on the B+ from age 8 till 12 then BASIC V till 14 then ARM assembler for a while then Pascal / 286 assembler then JAVA at university then the inevitable tedious slide into CGI/PHP/MySQL
.

I wrote in BASIC when I was a kid too.. they laugh at me at uni when i tell them... spent the last 3 years learning PHP, MySQL, ActionScript, ...web stuff HTML and CSS, played about with a Beta of Processing a bit too. Just about to start my Masters degree and gonna focus on a unique class of ActionScript that will work with some external electronic devices...so, Maplins will be my shopping emporium for the next year at least
as I get to grips with electronics and a soldering kit!
Im not a full blown geek by any means.. but i'm quite far down the road for a girl!
Oooh that sounds well cool, though I've never heard of anyone using Actionscript to control external electronics.
I do recall a usenet posting concerning the attractiveness of female geeks, but it'd probably lower the tone a little too much, even for SH.

have you tried Ghost Recon? :bounce: :bounce:
sooooooooo many hours wasted on that one rolleyes , could have built the ESB all by myself lol

Not played that one, I started out on Halflife and Team fortress Classic, moved on to Natural Selection (HL mod) after a couple of years, then discovered Battlefield 1942 and it's sequels. I'm trying to scrape the cash together to get BF2 as the demo looks well cool.

Recommended System Needed for Vista:
256Mb Graphics card
2Gb Ram
NCQ SATA Hard Drive (none of these exist yet)
HDCP Compliant Monitor (none of there exist yet)
and that's just to run the operating system... not to actually have programs running too!

No.. Microsoft say it only needs this..
Minimum system requirements will not be known until summer 2006 at the earliest. However, these guidelines provide useful estimates:
• 512 megabytes (MB) or more of RAM (most PC's currently have)
• A dedicated graphics card with DirectX® 9.0 support (most PC's currently have)
• A modern, Intel Pentium- or AMD Athlon-based PC. (most PC's currently have)
Since when did Microsoft's minimum system requirements have any relation to what is actually required for a reasonably productive user experience? These are the same people that told everyone it was possible to run Windows 95 on 4MB of RAM.
To be honest, I can't see why people dislike XP so much (at least XP pro, never used the home edition). It is after all merely Windows NT 5.1 (Windows 2000 being a posh name for NT 5.0). You can make it look like Windows 2000 if you want to (and I do, just 'cos Microsoft spent so much on the playschool-style default user interface for XP).
Having said that, the only reason I use Windows at all is to play games, if I gave up my addiction to first person shoot-em-ups then I'd have Linux or FreeBSD on my main machine, my laptop's been running Debian GNU/Linux for years now, and I even have a Linux pda (Sharp Zaurus) which is very acceptable.

There's nothing on your Ad about single males ??!! So the MMF isn't what youare advertising for. You are asking for couples. Sounds like the single males who answered your Ad, are those who troll the Ad section replying to everything. I bet they were one liner, no brainer, misspelt twattery replies too??
As for your Ad, it's OK... but no pics will get you fewer responses.

I noticed that as well, but thought they might have had a different ad looking for single males. If not, then I agree that it's no surprise that all the replies they've had from them so far have been from the brainless chancer community.
This is a topic that's been discussed relatively recently, though I can't find the thread with a quick search.
Generally I think the concensus was that shaving your balls is likely to please more potential partners than it displeases.
I did spot one tip on here, can't remember who came up with it originally but it seems to work for me: dip your bits in cold water before you start to tighten things up, and remember to moisturise thoroughly afterwards to avoid shaving rash.
One piece of advice that I found out the hard way: under no circumstances try to use a set of electric hair clippers, as bloodstained underwear is never attractive on men.
Ok, having had a look at your ad I'd add my voice to all of those suggesting you include at least one picture. It doesn't matter if it doesn't include your faces, but it's definitely preferable if it includes both of you.
A little bit more information about both of you wouldn't go amiss, neither would some more idea of the kind of people you're looking for.
Generally I can't find anything in your ad that's wrong, it's just a little sparse and doesn't really stand out when viewed alongside the hundreds of other ads from couples seeking couples.
If you post links to your ads then we might be able to have a look at them and see if we can suggest any improvements.
