The other thing just before you shutdown, right click the my computer icon and select
manage. In the left hand pane you'll see event viewer, if you expand it you'll see 3
submenus below it, application,security and system. Right click each one in turn and
select clear all events. Shut down the comp and the next time you restart it go back to the
event viewer and see if it contains any errors or warnings, with the same time and
date as the shutdown. Hopefully that might give you a clue to the problem.

Ennio Morricone did some excellent soundtracks, I also loved "For a Few Dollars More" , suprisingly he also did some the tracks for Kill Bill 1&2 . On another note get well soon

Just had a quick look around and it seems to be one of those problems that has various causes, the simplest things to try are to unplug all USB devices, including mouse and keyboard (or disbale USB from BIOS if you can) and seeing if it boots past the error, if it does plug everything back in and see if it works then.
The other is to remove the PCI cards from the comp, reboot if it works put one PCI card back in reboot.....etc adding one card each time. Dodgy memory(also check if it's loose) and CPU been named as possible causes.
Also which flavour of windows are you using?

Sounds like you've reached your blocklist limit, so you'll need to delete some people from your blocklist.
If you click on tools>options>privacy you'll see your blocklist then click the "view" button and this will show you who still has you on their contact list.
You'll be able to delete anyone who doesn't still have you on their contact list by right clicking their name in the blocklist and selecting delete.
