I have had some positive feedback from mine, but it shouldnt be an exercise in crafting something, It should be an honest expression of you as a person. The important thing to remember with the ads is that 100s of other men post each day, so you need to regularly update it. I would also suggest you reread it from time to time to assess if you still feel it represents you, amazing how many times you will want to make subtle changes.
I have very rarely had any response when responding to someone elses ad. Even though I only respond to those where I fit all their requirements. But others may have differet experiences.
