I knew this would stir the place up ... but i seriously thought that people might be able to discuss without to many insults .. so far it`s all been low key .. and lets keep it that way !!

And yet you started your post with a sweeping insult to a faith that is obviously practised by many not only in the UK in general but obviously within the swinging community
Quote by flower411
I`ll come back and give the "small minded bigots" view sometime tomorrow

I wouldn't bother, IMHO you've made enough of a twat of yourself already with your hole digging and grasping at ridiculous agendas looking for a way out. If your argument was about the use of condoms then quite simply dont play with anyone that wont use one. Dont attempt to use that as a smoke screen to your bigoted views.
Mark it down as experience and move on flower.
In a country blighted by sectarianism, particularly in the west of scotland I, even as a non follower of any faith, find your post to have been deeply offensive.
Quote by Tiger_lily
Yes but Flowers your first post was not in any way connected with the use of condoms was it?
/snip/
This just smacks to me of some small-minded bigotted prejudice you have and you've realised how it sounds and are now throwing in the contraception issue to cover your back. The condom thing - valid point. It is one area where I disagree with my religion but that's a personal issue isn't it.
/snip/
So how about you stop with the narrow minded, insulting posts about something you clearly don't understand. Nice to see the sectarian attitudes faced by my grandparents are still alive and well in a small minority of bigots.

Nail and head me thinks!!

Anybody else ....at least . concerned ??

Yeah.
I've heard those catholics eat babies and everything.
Perhaps we should burn the papists before they take over the world?
WTF are you on about flower??? Why should we be concerned????

if said person had deleted the pics when asked then surely there would have been no trouble
and in turn nothing to report to anyone
as many people have said already no means NO

I would like to point out this is the same couple who in the past i have taken pics of them at deans camp and derby socials and they have not complained how 2 faced of them now to jump on the bandwagon i will let you decide
Are you actually serious????????
Thats the same lame excuse that people make in sexual attacks...."well she'd shagged me before and never complained"
They said no. Period. Dont start trying to justify it now. There is absolutely NO justification for failing to respect someones express wishes in this community.
I never got a personal invite confused
Is that because you owe me two coffee's???????

Surely if someone was taking photos all the photos would show are friends in a pub having a drink? The only ones who would have a problem with that would be the attached men/women who should be with their wives/husbands or partners or those who have something to hide by being out on that night.
We are talking about a social in a bar and not swingers swinging at a swingers club. Most people have phone cameras now are we going confiscate them at the door and employ bouncers to physically remove people from socials?

No I fully understand the want / need not to feature in a picture where you're permission has not been sought or given and where you can be identified from it.
Certainly where I have recently had my pic taken with other site members we have always ensured the back drop shows only a wall. That way there really should be absolutely no cause for any complaint.
Is that just common sense?????
Quote by Benson11
To be honest, if I'd been organising it and he'd refused to delete after specifically being told 'no pictures', I'd have thrown him out.

....Having removed their camera, deleted the picture and shoved it up their arse!!!
I am quite happy to both take pics and have my pic taken at munches, socials, get togethers etc as long as the pics are taken by me or by persons that I am happy to take them and they feature me and only other willing persons.
someone took an uninvited pic of me in my normal day to day business then I would demand it were deleted (or see above).
I dont think there is a need to ban cameras at munches tbh. Who gives anyone the right to say that I cant, with willing friends only, take pictures of a social event featuring only myself and said participants?????
hi there laird,
i agree with you totally, im not a party pooper, if folks want a photo and all are willing then hey, why not?
but if i asked the said member nicely and he refused, and still after the hosts asking him to delete the photo he wouldnt, why does it have to lead to violence? id have loved to have shoved it up his arse as to speak, but hey, im a fun loving person lol
but the saidmeber was sp
Because, having been asked nicely, having had the position of personal security explained to them and having still refused to comply then I would feel that my safety, annonimity and that of my wife/ family was in jeopordy then forceful action to remove said threat would be neccessary.
Quite simple in my mind tbh

Going to have to disagree with splendid!!
Surely just beacause you have shagged someone doesn't mean you cant continue to have a professional relationship with them.
I'm sure there must be loads of people out there who have had sex with a colleague thats working relationship is completely unaffected by it.
I certainly have, on other occaisions it has been a problem. Just depends on the situation.
I particularly would have thought it would apply if the people involved viewed sex more recreationally than emotionally?

My thoughts exactly! It can definitely be done, you just have to choose carefully!!
My thoughts as well.
Is it any different to having to work with someone that you think is an absolute prick??
I'd still be professional in my dealings with them.
What I find most distasteful is the amount of money the majority of these national charities pay to their "directors"

A new name to use so that no-one in the Christian swinging community will suspect for a moment that I am actually a violent sociopathic sexual sadist and member of another (hell-bound) swinging community until it is too late and I have both husband and wife bound, gagged and begging for mercy at my feet.

Am sure this is tongue in cheek de_sade however I do find the thought of that distasteful. Not the hypocrisy but the last bit...
Hey, you and I have obviously lived on the edge a bit but very few people deserve that kind of fear... I know you wouldn't disagree if you think of others in similar circumstances confused
Nice to see you posting regardless...

I think that you can tell whether your partner has enjoyed it!!!!
thinking about it... and in no real order..these would be the indicators id look for ....for an idea
1) you cant fake moisture!!!!
2) You cant fake that "sex-flushing" red skin thingy
3) some women shake and gasp for a while after orgasm...
4) if you get told that you were ASKING
5) Your partner suggests tht you have another go at it.
6) your a male and you can last for more that 5 mins including foreplay)
7) you get told youre the best without asking
to be honest..... and no offence to those who have said it....... but to say that you have never had complaints is NOT an indicator youre a good shag............
if youve had compliments from more than 5 partners, or any of point 1-5 above...........you can rest assured that youre at least GOOD....

You're not serious????
Surely??
confused
I can see I'm going to have to adopt the scorecard system, Pink.............
yeah course im serious................

....They have a couple of people, or one person, who cooks and washes for them, but takes no other part in their daily lives, allowing them to run around as they please with no discipline of any sort.

Good lord, you could be talking about a family I know were both parents are Doctors. You should see the kids!! AND they are still entitled to child benefit or tax credits as it now is.

As for posts going missing and people being banned... I never saw the post mentioned, but everyone else has been allowed a view on the subject. Even if it was vitriolic and tongue in cheek, it seems to have summed up what others were thinking, and you can't have a true debate when some views are not allowed to be expressed. I enjoy good debate, as freely exchanged views on a subject can make others sit back and think twice about how they have viewed a subject prior to them reading another's opinions.

You are quite right CarmelaDeA. I love good debate, strongly fought out by people capable of putting a balanced point over. I need not agree with the others opinion but I can at least respect them for having a balanced one.
Some of the posts on this particular thread have been so sweeping of all single pregnant mothers that I can't believe that there hasn't been more of an outcry. The vitriol came from the "all single mothers are users / drunks / waste of space losers" who obviously deserve fuck all cause "we" had to drag ourselves up without support blah, blah, blah
TBH it's, in my view, reminisent of a right wing soapbox meeting and has been distasteful in the extreme, still, perhaps it sums up the mentality of them? Who knows?
I happen to agree with Scandal, I'm assuming he saw the comments in the same way I did (see above if you missed the part about the Right Wing Meeting)
Quote by CarmelaDeA
These are my opinions on the subject, and with the examples I see every day of how some families spend the money the government already hands out for the welfare of the children, I'm afraid my opinion on how the money should be better spent remains the same. Give it to the state to use on health and education before there is no free healthcare and education from lack of government funding. You just have to look at the state of the pensions to see why I champion that view.

Here's an idea. Instead of complaining about the "pricely" sum of £200 being given to expectant mums how about we start complaining about the money squandered by government agencies in keeping things like the opera and arts afloat?
Thats a whole other thread though...........
