Well, we must have "MUGS" written across our foreheads cos we got caught out again by a very clever "couple" (NOT!!) - corresponding for more than a month, lots of pictures and even two styles of MSN chat. Then a refusal to give us a mobile number to arrange Sundays meet followed by a ridiculous message about "her" being angry.
Alas realisation dawned this afternoon that we had well and truly been had.
This is the 3rd time in three years and we are not arranging anymore meets from this Site until some kind of validation/verification is in place. We will stick with SH for the forums but leave it at that.
Yes, we are angry and we feel really foolish as well - just wanted a little rant. Sorry.

I understand your frustration. I've also had my time wasted by single guys pretending to be cpls. This doesnt happen anymore. I now ask for a chat with the lady via fone early on. Stops the time wasters and fake couples. Beats any verification system smile

Free condoms?
They kept that quiet.

Yes it is a good idea and as peanut says it involves a little discomfort but no real pain. Also if you've had multiple partners, as one is likely to do if they use this site, ask about Hepatitis "B" vaccination, and don't forget to collect your free condoms !!

Thanks for replying.
It was made to sound like torture.
No symptoms, just thought it'd be a good idea to get it done.

I'd been thinking about having myself checked out at the local GUM clinic and was discussing it with one of my friends.
I was told that one of their mates had this done and it was a painful procedure. Apparently a small metal pipe was inserted into his penis to take a swab. It was pushed in and out untill blood came out. Just listening to the story made my eyes water.
Can someone verify whether this is the case?

veejay do you have a problem with British people?? Sorry for asking, and I’m not trying to offend but that’s how your coming across.

No, not at all. I've been here all my life.
I have a British passport which I show at every opportunity when abroad. But where ever I go, I make an effort to portray a good image of Britain.
I think people in this country take it for granted too much.
But what I don't like is the fact that we have a weak govt. This used to be a super power, but is now reduced to "lap-dog" status. It seems that the govt will oppress its own people to satisfy the whitehouse (NatWest 3 for example).
And then there's racism and racists. I'm not going into this topic. But its around everywhere, including here. I wouldn't be suprised if there were BNP, or C18 supporters here.
And also the fact that some British people go abroad thinking they can do as they please, that they are immune from harm.
Unfortunately its a harsh world out there. I just think people need to be more aware of whats going on in the rest of the world. And act with more due care.

So we are both believing what we have been told as neither one of us was there to witness it ....
And to be honest the two incidents cant be compared as they are at totally different ends of the spectrum..
One was during a very tense time i.e. lots of terrorist activity going on and everyone on high alert and one was in a clasroom of a school that wasnt even a school dedicated to the religion of the indiginous peoples .....

No, I don't automatically believe anything people tell me anymore, I used to. But the CCTV footage showed that the version of events given by the met pol was not accurate.
I'm sorry if I have come across as aggressive towards you. But I'm sick of being labelled and tarred with the same brush as a terrorist. There are plenty of Hindus,Sikhs,"Brown Christians" (and dare I say Muslim) who are discriminated against, even though they denounce terror.
I started off in the thread saying that this lady is being made an example out of. But we have to look at the way our govt treats its own people.

And you were there and saw all this then dunno

Is that the best you can do?
Were you there to say he did?
As expected, the initial report was that the killing was directly related to terrorism. Yet the CCTv footage showed that he did NOT run in the tube station, he did NOT jump over the barrier.
Plenty of people who WERE there said this.
And ian blair never repeated any of his initial ludicrous, and made up stories since.

And how long did it take to get shot of that incitefull basteward Abu Hanza...
FFS he only had one hand cause he blew the other fuker off when a home made bomb went off prematurely...

Yet the govt just couldn't be bothered dealing with him. What does that say about them wanting to protect the people?

With regards to that particular incident I have only one thing to say...
If you have done nothing wrong and have nothing to fear/hide why would you run when challenged by the Police dunno

Oh right? Take a look at the title of this thread!
So someone who runs should be punished by being shot in the head? Don't make me laugh. How daft does that sound.
I think you'll find that Mr De Menezes did NOT run. He did NOT offer any resistance. He was NOT even an Arab/Muslim. He had NO connections to terrorism. So what DID he actually do wrong?
He was restrained, then shot at close range. There is even doubt as to whether the police identified themselves.
You should get the facts right before saying things like this.

I wish I could say more.. I really do but freedom of speech is reserved for those who stand against us as a nation. British people can say nothing any more.. but clerics and others can stand in the street and slag off our way of life incite hatred call us blind threaten us and our beliefs and what happens to them.. Bugger all........... Great!!!
Welcome to the new Briton... will the last man out turn the light off!
Mike

I don't think anyone here has said the woman deserves this.
When was the last time any cleric chatted shyte on the street? I think you'll find those guys have/are being disposed of.
But then again, why is it your mates at the BNP get to say their things, and get away with slapped wrists?
Anyway I don't think there be need to turn out the lights. There'll be plenty of black, brown and yellow men in this country, especially with all these damn immigrants around.

I think the SAS should be sent in as she is being held illegally.

Funny you mention that. How many people are being held illegally in numerous countries- all supported and arranged by the Brits?

Its rare... but I agree. I would also hunt down every single Sudanese official watch them like feckin hawks and even if they so much as dropped snot in the street i'd arrest and humiliate them and then deport them too...
They all love our feckin money our aid our soldiers and our benifits etc etc etc... Bollo*** to them I say!

I think you might find the issue of diplomatic immuntiy may hinder your plans to humiliate Sudanese officials.
And I doubt the Sudanese want any British soldiers in their country either.

WOW just saw the breaking news 15 days jail & then deported!!!!
I suppose she got off lucky really as who knows what they would of done to one of there own who done this.

Chances are they wouldn't have bothered if it was one of their own. They just wanted to make make a scene.
Its just some people here get their knickers in a twist. Its very rare for a westerner to be given the harshest sentence in Arab countries, they try and let them off with the lightest of punishments.

The people of Sudan should be on notice that they will have overstayed their welcome if their Government does not intervene NOW and stop this stupidity.

Which people are these? Asylum seekers? Political refugees?
I'm pretty sure the govt of Sudan will be more than happy to get them back.

if calling a teddy mohammed is breaking their laws (not sure which law as noboby has showed it) surely calling you child mohammed is too, after all you don't name your toys, pets etc with names to disrespect anyone, you give them names you like.

Maybe in the UK. But we're talking about another country. I think theres a difference between a child, and pets/toys.

What like this woman
i still find it funny that you think that anyone should abide by other countries laws when over there, when there isn't a law saying you can't call a teddy mohammed.
you call that breaking laws? and then you go on to say "Being British doesn't give anyone the right to think they can go to another country and break their law" Its not about being British? am i missing something here? its about children choosing a name for there toy, and if calling a teddy mohammed is so frowned upon and anyone working there (your words) should know this then why didn't the children that live there know this?

The woman in that case was a Saudi, who knew what the punishment for sex outside of marriage is. She has confessed to this already, and was having an affair with another man. They were attacked while "together".
The rapists have also been punished aswell. According to their laws, both crimes are being punished.
Secondly, kids are kids. Are you seriously telling me that kids playing with teddies are meant to know everything?

OK. I'm totally in agreement with, if you go to another country, you abide by their laws or suffer the consequences.
I am not in any way knowledgeable about the Koran, my information is from a news site -
"There is no ruling in the Koran on images of Allah or the Prophet Mohammed.
Is does say the originator of the heavens and the earth... nothing like a likeness of Him"
I feel that, as has been said, the fact that this was a woman teacher has lead to a harsher potential treatment.

I think its forbidden to draw picture of Allah/Mohammed. Also to insult either of them.
But this is a silly case where I reckon afew people are causing trouble. More than likely people are "getting their own back" for those Danish cartoons. I don't think we'll get Muslim people protesting against this woman, most will probably sympathise for her.
I still think they'll let her off after creating a scene and hoo-haa about the whole thing.
I don't think it made any difference her being a female. They'd have done it to anyone, she just got unlucky.

barbaric and deserves a responce worthy of holding a British passport.. Protection!
Mike

Pah, don't make me laugh.
Anyone remember the "Natwest 3"
They were British citizens living in Britain, but extradited to the US for allegedly committing a crime in Britain, against a British company based in London.
Why did Britain not prosecute them? Because there wasn't enough evidence. Did the Americans produce any evidence? Did they heck. Its about time you realised that the British govt can't really give a toss about its people or protecting their rights.
At the end of the day, if they're willing to hand over the NatWest 3, then whats the chance of them intervening for this woman?

More important than someone possibly being lashed for giving a certain name to a teddy? WTF?

I hope she doesn't get lashed. I think they'll let her go if she apologises on national TV or something like that.
But at the end of the day she went to a foreign country and behaved in a way which showed disrespect to their way of life/laws.
And the reason we're paying high fuel prices is becoz our governments went into invade another country based on lies. It all comes down to us thinking we can do what we like to people in other countries.

I thought this was going to be a sensible thread, but some people need to chill out.
I don't think she deliberately meant to cause any offence. However she must've been naive not to think this could be mis-construed. She's being made an example out of by the authorities.
However, ignorance is no excuse.
Being British doesn't give anyone the right to think they can go to another country and break their law. Thankfully the days of the empire are over.
Its about time some of you realised this, and stopped waving your passport about. You sound just as bad as the extremists who want Britain to change its way of life.
There's more important things to worry about. Has anyone noticed the fuel price at the pumps?

I saw a program on traffic cops the other week... in grimsby, they double up at night to help out the regulars..... there was a call that a person outside a club had fallen into a quay..... and that the person could not been seen from the back.... they made the decision to call in the fire brigade who are better trained to deal with the situation, the fire brigade found him after 10 minutes of getting there... but it was too late at that stages and the man died...
it sounds like they made exactly the same decision as the people involved in this case made....

I totally agree.
The press have their own agenda, I've seen too many different version being reported. I don't believe that anyone who could swim would watch a boy struggle and drown in a lake.
We can all speculate about how we would react, but it all changes when you are in that situation. Think about how those CSOs are feeling, can't be easy to wait for the fire brigade, knowing someone is dying.

If you were Jade how bad would you feel now?
Just watched the eviction. She came out of the house to NO crowd and into the studio where she was boo'ed.
I watched the programmes where she was racist and a bully and insulting and rude and thick ...................... but...................... somehow when I watched her apologise for everything I wondered how much of it had been edited to make "better television".
The things she said were nasty and unnecessary but were they really as bad as has been reported. If Shilpa didnt think they were racist, shouldnt it be her opinion that counts?
Sam xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I don't think she feels bad for the way she has behaved at all. Whether it was racism or not, it was still ugly.
Funny how things changed when BB called her and Danielle into the diary room and went over what had happened. And her sobbing how she has more to loose this time than last, and that it'll be harder to turn things around is another reason to ake me think the last 2 days were damage control on Jades part
And how much does Shilpa know about what was said about her behind her back?
