An American werewolf in London is coming to the big screen..
As is..
Citizen Kane..
I love both of these movies how lucky i feel to have two such great(in my opinion, before im slaughtered by the egos for daring to suggest anything is great before checking with them)films in cinemas near me in the same week.....
If you could have two, which films would you pick..?
My two choices would be
Grease.. as my daughter is alomost my age when I first saw that, so would like to take her to see it on big screen
2nd choice
Shawshank redemption.. as it was a complete flop on the big screen the first time around, and such a great film, one of my all time favourites.
I'd love to see 'Lawrence of Arabia' on the big screen.
After much deliberation I'm afraid I can only narrow it down to three
Shawshank redemption
The green mile
Sixth Sense
Never seen Alien at the cinema.
One of the most influential movies of the time....The Exorcist.
Even though it seems reasonably quite tame now, back in the 70's it was such a horror film, and I must have seen it countless times now and it is still a brilliant film.
Also one of Patrick Swayzee's films....Roadhouse. That had everything. The girls, the violence, and he was brilliant in it.
Highlander on the big screen with that Queen sound track, cant go wrong
and Gone With the Wind, one of my all time favourite films
Eraserhead and Appocalypse now
absolute classic
Blade Runner
I can see why people like Green Mile & Shawshank, Darabont is very good at tugging at the heart strings via the innocently wronged man.
I blub like a baby at the end of the Green Mile but I prefer to do that at home as otherwise it makes my popcorn salty.
For epic scope how about all six remastered Star Wars films in an arse numbing day of Vaderness?
Sadly for your fevered imagination, not, and I hadn't drilled a little hole in the base of the popcorn bucket either.
It wasn't that ring I wanted to be lorded over... :-)
Pricilla Queen of the dessert for my first choice
then i'm torn between
Forrest gump and Green Mile both fabulous films that get all my emotions working overtime and give me goosebumps so just can't choose between them
my films are mood oriented
a laugh ,jack and sarah ,just married
tearful , titanic , green mile
horror ,aliens ,splinter
synical horror , bad taste , brain dead
sci-fi , chronicles of riddick , stargate atlantis
Miracle in Rome was a lovely film but I've not met anyone who has seen it. Anyone here seen it?
