You dont need to diet ;-)
Just curious if anyone watched the program about Detox Diets a short time ago on the BBC..
It was the first full scientific study including the use of twins etc all monitored using all the known detox diets and not one made the slightest difference apart from what was in the head of the person trying. Not a single one!!
They also blew the one about drinking more water.. No need, the body uses what it needs and rids the rest!
One thing made a huge difference though.. and it shocked them all.. that was to use tomato puree (Concentrate) everyday.. this effectively slowed down the aging process and reduced wrinkles on the face.... Yes you do eat it and about 15g a day min lol.. not smear it on your face.
Any diet has a reaction to the system but your body soon adjusts and over compensates straight after.. Thats why the only truly effective long term weight lose is to change your lifestyle.

PK you are beautiful as you are, inside and out :rose: :rose: :rose:
recall seeing an article in the last few days that said basically everyones body has a set amount of fat cells. the only way to reduce them is to remove them permanently with liposuction.
I remember seeing Beyonce interviewed about this, explaining that she used that diet for a film in which she was playing a younger, more child-like character and then the same character as a woman.
She said she wouldn’t recommend it: it simply enabled her to lose weight temporarily and quickly to appear more juvenile, and equally quickly to return to her 'fighting weight' to look more womanly.
Maple Syrup Diet?
was the research sponsored by the Canadian Maple Syrup Export and Awareness Board?

Gym is the best way forward hun!
I always loose the most weight quickest when I eat the most and train hard.
I've tried the cabbage soup as a quick fix in the past and don't mind it, but it's the will power to get your ass in the gym and cut out the treats like the vino etc that works the best- once you get into it its fine- i soo need to do this at the mo!
The syrup one i have to say sounds like one of the worst I've heard!
If i diet, i usually increase the amount of snacks I have, snacks being cereal, fruit, and veg, nuts etc and stick to eating lean protein like chicken, and if I eat lots during the day, then I don't usually need dinner after I get home from the gym.
I don't tend to eat a lot of processed carbs, but my healthy diet has gone out the window lately!
Fruit juice, beer, wine etc are all empty carbs which are my weakness- i need to stick to water!
At the mo we seem to be living off take-aways- it's hard to stick to a healthier diet when den is in the process of bulking up so is piling in the calories- and I feel really minging for it at the mo- not healthy at all :-(
I quite like Gillian McKeiths diets (even though I can't stand her!) as they're mostly sensible (although a bit over the top for an every day diet- no treats whatsoever) great if you're in training, on weight loss.

Any diet that can cause someone to lose 22lbs in 2 weeks is bound to be terrible for you. Less food, more excercise, forever.. or, if you only want to change your diet, lots of people lose a few punds if they go veggie or seriously reduce their meat intake (no pun intended)
