Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
It has been mentioned in a much more serious thread and being the type of gal I am I decided not to hijack it.
It has brought back some memories especially Marvin the paranoid android.
Anyway just thought I'd mention it.

I have a pain!!
you know the answer to your hijack issue is 42 wilma...
Solves everything... 2000 years after a man was nailed to a tree for saying how good it would be if we were all nice to each other for a change...
I remember watching the rerun of this a while back and not totally appreciating it ... but Marvin certainly stuck in my mind along with the restaurant at the end of the universe (?) and some clever mice (hehehehehe)
Afraid I was caught up in the generation that had Red Dwarf and I am convinced there are HHGTTG elements in there too.
Must read the Doug Adams books ....
Babel Fish, now where would we be without one of those.

Got to read them, and listen to the radio series... The TV version was no where near as good as the book or original radio show...
Don't apologise on the Red Dwarf front, Lister 000169... ahh love it. Mind the scutters with the John Wayne posters. Hehe, you just need to increase your comedy quota to fit in Doug Adams stuff. Must say I preferred the first 3 books to the later 2, but that just me.
Speaking of books the Red Dwarf books also worth a read, make more sense than the actual TV show, give Lister a lot more depth...
I could never get over Slartibartfast receiving an award for the design of the Fjords in Norway and then being disappointed because they weren't so well received when he tried them in Africa.
One of the most brilliant inventions of all time........... I think everyone should have one!

Why human would prefer dried leaves boiled rather than all we can offer him... Computing...
I wonder how many men fantasised over Trillian....... a swinger if ever I saw one !!!!
Not a great piece of casting though was it?
I mean, Sandra Dickenson, mathematical genius?
Ahem.
Nah, in the book she was dark haired and intelligent, and on the radio she had a real sexy voice.. sorry the TV version didn't do it for me.
... Still computing ...
