NO ONE LINERS

I dont know about most people but the number of ads I see with "NO One Liners" drives me crazy.
Such ads normally insist on pics being sent facial DUH! and to top it all most such ads have very little detail or come to that facial pics of the advertiser.
What wrong with "One Liners" if the respondee wishes to answer and ad thats usually not fully descriptive on what they want.
Being a 52 year old male often I send a one liner "Male 52" is this of interest?
Please oh please stop putting no one liners when actually a one liner can be very useful in getting to where you need to be.

This would be of no interest to me. It has nothing to with your age or your sex. It is because it doesn't tell me about about your personality, likes or dislikes, what you are looking for.

I'm sorry but i'm inclined to agree with da69ve would you seriously expect to walk up to a person in a pub or club and utter just one line and then its off to bed you go, I think not confused

Unless ofcourse you have stumbled up on the perfect one sentance chat up line :shock:

1. The whole point of putting an ad up is to request what suits the advertiser.
2. One liners tell nothing about the sender - other than that they can't be bothered to make an effort
3. People who send one liners on mass come across as desperate asd well as lazy
4. If you don't like ads asking for "no one liners" then dont reply to them
5. Do you not think it slightly arrogant to be suggesting that everyone on here should be worded in a way to suit youso that youhave to put in minimum effort?

Maybe he has a problem spelling and thats all he can manage! no but seriously he must have a problem reading because if the add he looks at states no one liners then why is he replying to them with one liners... strange.

I know i'm being harsh but it get's my back up because all us single guys get tarred with the same brush and all it takes is a little thought before you reply to make all the differance :)

I think you will find young lady that I managed Friday AND Sunday with out logging on biggrin

Fridays I go the pub and on sunday I was playing golf and then snooker (i lost both lol) and then I just came home and fell sleep. See thats at least two night's out of the month that I hav'nt been on :D Addicted to posting me NEVER confused

after a quick read of this thread last night before work & again this morning i think i can see where anotherfriend is coming from with his "Male 52 is this of interest?" one liner not that i agree with pm'ing it as it wastes everybodys time confused

i have the feeling he is suffering a bit of a complex about his age & feels he doesnt want to waste his time writing out a whole load of stuff about himself for it to be ignored because he is too old!! i could be wrong it has happened once before smile

if that is the case anotherfriend dont worry about your age it is unimportant what is important is whats inside & if you dont let anyone know what that is they will not want to meet you so in the end by trying to save time you have shot yourself in the foot :?
be yourself when you write a reply & include your humour,your likes & dislikes what you are looking for & what you expect but be honest & open :) & dont look on your age as a negative thing! think about it as a positive thing think about all your life experience that must count for something :) :)
