Firstly i have looked through the help topics, which helped me out a little, but i do have other questions i would like to ask and a little advice...
If one of you guys/girls can give me some advice or point me in the right direction, i would be most grateful.
Apologies if this is the 100th time for this type of posting, but i am only just venturing into chat rooms so don't want to get my fingers burnt - so to speak...

i arranged to meet a lovely lady called debbie in a pub.
this woman walked in and asked if i was dave, said yes and she shook my hand and introduced herself as debbie.
we chatted for 5 mins then went to our table for food, something wasn't quite right but i could not get my head around what.
went to the toilet for a pee and had a text on my phone - which said thanks for standing me up you ass*ole ?????
2 + 2 = i realised i had just eaten with a woman who should have been with someone else !!!!
lesson learnt - always ask for a pic b4 meeting, so at least you have some idea !!

i agree with you although i stuck 2 fingers up at me dad cos at 34 i still listen to that synthesied shit
however my first favourite record was down in the park by tubeway army (gary numan) when he was in a bandi will hasten to add that my age is 38, fast approaching 39 in 4 weeks.
so my taste in music is getting more and more bizarre..... well thats what people tell me who i give a lift to..
b4 i bought the cash cd i was listening to the kaiser chiefs and green day, and i'm told i am old for my age !!!!

must admit i would have had run ins with gangs from neighbouring areas as a kid.
but at present there seems to be a big them and us attitude on the internet between us and americans. some sites positively encourage it.....

i have visited it on a number of occasions with my chosen football team, and i have met a number of people off here and other sites from nottingham, on the whole it has a big downside with the drugs and crime, however every village, town and city has some problem and no doubt there are some very nice genuine people up there....
