There are several things that come to mind that are far worse than the dog and sausage advert. In fact I find many thing in life quite disgusting, people vomiting in the street, people spitting in public, parents who allow their children to litter our streets especially outside my flat, guys pissing against my car wheels, people defecating in lifts, people who put their finger against one nostril and blow their nose, either on a football pitch or in the street. People who leave fast food take-away containers and packaging all over the place. The list is endless
Most of the above I have little or no control over but with regard to dogs and sausages (which is legal and hurts no one really ) I have the ultimate weapon, which is the on / off button on the remote. After all if it is legal, hurts no one and doesn’t leave a mess outside (Especially outside my flat) I give a certain tolerance to all of those things and do not worry about over much. TV adverts come a long, long way down my list of things that I find unacceptable and piss me off.
However each to his own, having a hotdog whilst watching a porn video would come under the heading of Food, dogs and sex as well now that is perverted, but what the hell, don’t knock it until you have tried it. :P
Just me being silly on a lovely sunny Saturday. Im off out in short while to make the most of the sunshine, might even get myself a hotdog in town. :P

Right just wandered in after a 'normal' weekend away
I would just like to comment:- (most of wich has already been said)
1. common sense
2. enjoy yourselves
3. behave as if it is an evening party, like a wedding party (DB)
I'm having trouble remembering back to my first munch :shock: (have I really been to that many) I will have to make a list, but I do remember thinking what if, no one talks to me, what if something happens I dont like. But all my fears where unfounded.
All the munches I have been to, I have enjoyed and many there be many more to come.

3. Use your common sense, if you think something is risque/unacceptable, it probably is, so think twice before acting.

I've just been reading this thread with some interest.
As a newbie (and after reassurance from db) I 've put my name down to attend the next Notts munch, if possible. However after reading this tonight I'm having second thoughts, although I'm a member here I'm still fairly shy and not outgoing in RL, so would probably be the 'one' in the corner at a munch holding everyones coats.
Never having been to any munches before I can't comment on the things that have been said, but think now that this topic has been discussed, it might make those people likely to act irresponsibly, be a little more thoughtful of others feelings now, and munches can get back to/carry on being the purely social events they were intended to be.

the temperature thing helps with fine or thicker hair, if your hair is fine then you don't need straightners which can go to higher temps.
Thicker hair can stand higher temps, but you still need to take care not to fry it.
I prefer the ceramic ones too, you can get some good results from middle of the range sets, if you just want to use them for straightening your hair then go for the ones with wider plates.
