Miss Immodesty Blaize

If I had to chose it would have to be Immodesty, just love those Womanly curves!
I so want to go to a Burlesque show. They come up in Brum from time to time at the Glee Club and at the Electric Cinema. If anybody fancy's a social one night at one let me know and I'll watch out for it. Tickets can booked online and tel. May offshoot this into a seperate thread when a show next comes round.

OMG its Immodesty :inlove: now we're talking! I love the look anyway, but it's just ubersexy with her isnt it!? not that I'm a fan or owt lol :smitten:
and if ya do that social Friday, I'm in :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
I've just bought a pair of Georgina Goodman patent platform dolly shoes a la Immodesty, and the bastard things dont fit! Gutted is an understatement
omg, the shoes dont fit and the boots arn't here yet :sacred:
Nomads you have a pm hun.
Final call for folk who want tickets, if I havent heard from you by Saturday it'll be a 'get them on the door' job wink
i have a major 'thing' for rugged combats, (camos or black ones) boots and either combat vests, tight tops or no top lol
forces, SO19's, police dog handlers etc  hump
and that woman who owns the bar in Coyote Ugly :giggle:
Gem I'm definately not going to make this, sorry. but....bump :bounce:
no one's mentioned milk chocolate digestives yet  I'm stunned!
my current fad is the 'limited edition' Banoffee Pie flavour ones dunked in coffee :inlove:
shut up you 3 lol
i'm waiting in anticipation for any overdue 'i've got a problem and am gonna tell it to you straight' pm's ..i thought the pink fluff might encourage them, as suggested in the other thread wink I personally cant stand the snide digs and side-swipes that are rather prevelent at the moment, regardless of who they're aimed at! it's already been mentioned in here as part of the reason a few people arn't posting much, on top of it being a mega busy time for those of us who're studying & end of the financial year at work etc, so I'm very open to 'I cant fookin stand you Dark' pm's at the mo, as long as its kept to pm and people stop doing it on the forum where it affects everyone else. wink
Ahh well I'm sure this cycle will come to an end soon and the forums will return to normal service soon and in the mean time I'll try to get posting more. Anyway I'm off work today so off for a spray tan later to cheer myself up......I hope everyone had a good day and to everyone.

Thanks for the update PK

i dont like being discussed for starters and to me this was indiscrete and thats before a meet.
Earthy xx

ahhh, THE big one! lol
dont think i can put into words just how much I hate that! lol
Earthy hun, I think there definately is a particular approach or 'acceptable way to go about things' - but that will differ from person to person dunno
Flippant texts like that or anything that feels pushy would have had his/her number deleted weeks ago lol
The kind of contact that really rubs me up the wrong way is the typical one-liner quick shag pm...usually from someone I dont know & who hasnt read my profile..or from someone I do know who will already know that playing is not on the cards.
What I do like is the respectful 'I wondered if you might fancy going to XXXXX with me?, would you like to come back to our room after the Munch?...I'm up your way and if you fancy a coffee on a social basis (and mean it) let me know' type approach. 'Fancy a shag luv' will get you absolutely nowhere, nor will 'I could show you what you're missing' and 'go on, you'll love it, its the opportunity of a lifetime' type spiel. Sometimes it could simply be how something is worded...or that we just dont read each other well (which to me means we aint gonna 'click' anyway) but I'm definately like you in the 'dont like the idea that they see you as a piece of meat' camp. If their approach gives even a hint of that, its a no-go area!

If someone has explained that they won't be free for a while then it's fine to keep in contact but not to keep pushing for that initial meet.

Indeed

but this one works a treat for keeping the quick-shag brigade out of my pm box wink)

I think the cat's out of the proverbial bag now....
lol
wink
lol I might change it to pink and fluffy for a bit to encourage those pm's people are dying to send but havent, yet. Open invite therefore to anyone who's got owt to say to send it in the direction of my pm box where it will be given my full attention  ...as long as its not a shag-me one lol

Well, up until now I hadn`t noticed a "dip" and hadn`t really noticed how boring the cafe was becoming.
But now I know, I suppose I might as well slope off to the chatrooms again.
It seems that the current posters aren`t really "cutting the mustard" as it were, so we might as well not bother .
Thanks for pointing it all out worship
I`m sure we are all grateful for the input. I`ll keep an eye open to see if the interesting people come back and if they do i`ll just watch all their wonderful posts and look back on my own in shame redface
wave byeee

I could....
but i'm not going to.
Read into it what you will Flower. Thatsays a hell of alot more about you than it does any misguided interpretation of my posts.

I have met most people from here through the ads section.
I've met a few through munchies, but these were unintentional. Met them, clicked, and it went from there.
The one person I've met through the forums, actually answered one of my ads, but he did recognise me from the forums.
There are a number of people I'd like to meet from the forums, not necessarily in a sexual way, but I'm too scared to pm them!!! redface

I feel like that too, scared i mean, to approach fellow forum users( not all of them). Why is that I wonder dunno
Louise xx
pm them and be damned, god dammit lol
if you're not pm'ing in the first instance in a sexual way....and perhaps wouldnt mind meeting up for a coffee and natter simply cos they're someone you're familiar with from the cafe and fancy saying hello to...I really really cant see what anyone could say to that for you to be scared of dunno
there's no 'territory' to muscle in on Louise - we're all part and parcel of the site (and several people will rolleyes rolleyes at me for adding this) and the 'community' wink
and, this really isnt about 'how the forum used to be' (that's certainly not why I posted this anyway) ...its simply that we're currently experiencing a 'dip', and to let people know that it happens...and we'll all find renewed enthusiasm soon I hope.
The worst possible thing (hence the reason for the thread) is that people who are newish (or havent seen it do this cycle thing before) start thinking that SH is crap, its all gone downhill, they're gonna leave, the forum's dying...and various other shite I've heard in the last couple of weeks.
Its a bit like a self-fulfilling prophecy I guess - people start temporarily 'staying away' because of boredom, crap threads, 'undercurrents' and general cant be arsedness...but suddenly its all good and back to normal, posting boots rediscovered & we get buzzing little community we all know and love......stay away too long or get too 'cant be arsed' - especially when lots of other people are doing exactly the same thing - it becomes self-fulfilling. We all do it individually - for many reasons like those posted earlier.... its when we start doing it en mass, like now, is when it gets scary wink

Does your avatar (yes that picture at the side there) effect the way you post?
Does it effect the way people read your posts?

It doesn't affect the way I post and I can't speak for others so no idea how they view me or my posts.

lol
the rottweiler thing stems from someone calling me one lol so, I found the avatar as a 'flipa' and its stuck ever since lol (i do alternate it with 2 others though when the mood takes me but this one works a treat for keeping the quick-shag brigade out of my pm box wink)
It doesnt affect the way I post, I post the same bollox whatever avatar i've got up lol but it does affect how people 'see' me. Am I bothered? nope. If people's perception of me is based on one pic of a dog and how they interpret my posts, i'm not going to waste my breath argueing about it lol
I actually really like the serious discussion threads - about aspects of swinging or something completely different...the 'oooooo good thread ' switch flicks on for me when its something lots of people have an oppinion on, whether I agree with what they're saying or not lol
One of the key things I love about all this is all the different people I meet on a virtual level who I probably wouldnt get to meet ordinarily in real life
I cant say I'm a fan of the silly for being silly's sake type threads, and worse, those that had the potential to be good threads but get hijacked with 2 or 3 peoples banter, quote on quotes on quotes and 'look at meeee' posts rolleyes but, that's just me - other people like it, so once it heads in that direction, I stop following it lol
The ones that really piss me off are those that do the 'some people' finger pointing (and everyone else reads it wondering 'ooo, who they talking about, is it me?' paranoia type threads, usually slagging off the site/ forum but with side-swipes at those its directed at but havent said it to them personally).
I love the 'challenge threads' - we definately need more of those: The Davej avatar challenge, the signpost challenge etc, absolute classics, but it's hard to top what we've already had I supose dunno
maybe this thread should be tagged onto the Check In thread, so it gives a more balanced/ bigger picture view of what people are really thinking at the moment?
lol
I tend to 'develop an interest' in someone from their posts/ post style ...then profile....and then follow it up at a social or Munch to see what they're like in person dunno Its probably the first face to face couple of minutes that are the crucial factor for me, I tend to either 'click' with someone, or I dont, and that's wayyyy before the 'potential victim' thought enters my head lol There have been occasions though where I've met someone at a social without knowing anything about them at all, and the 'magnetism' is there, immediately dunno
I'm not a fan of the photo ads to be honest - they're good for 'additional information' once my interest is perked, but it just doesnt work for me to simply 'see someone in an ad and reply to it' dunno
now then! this is more like it :bounce:
see, I'm a bit sad, I'm here most days even if I'm 'working' and have SH on in the background or I log in for 10 minutes when vanilla things are really busy - I dont chat to many people here (cos I'm anti-social lol) , but I do 'keep tabs' on where folk are, what's up, and 'are you ok' type stuff redface
I'll openly admit I find the forum a bit of a chore when its like this....but....we all have 'other stuff' to attend to.
What pains me, tbh, is when the 'undercurrent' starts rubbing off on folk so they do stay away, or worse, forget how to enjoy the forum and community and find it all a bit too much like hard work. Boredom is one thing, disenchantment with the whole thing is something completely different wink ...the 'cycle' becomes a problem when lots and lots of people get fed up all at the same time, and that's kinda what's happening at the mo
But, Thanks to those who've posted so far we can see that alot of people have more pressing things going on than SH at the mo, and I'm thankful for that....not because I wish you stress lol but because its shows that its just temporary and you'll be back and that the current 'air of crapness' wont push people away :bounce: :bounce:
Back to the subject matter now......Yes, I've been guilty of being in the "busy/can't make the effort" ilk.

Funny that, coming from the bloke who just over a year ago sat me down over coffee and did the whole 'you get out of this what you put in' pep talk with me poke
I hope that makes sense lol
p.s - this is not the pm victim of the week thread either so stop it with the sympathy shag PM's rotflmao
 Anais
its funny you should say that actually, I've noticed the same stop start stop start absence of anything substantial thing too with other 'group' & community type stuff I'm involved in in the vanilla world...
but its particularly noticeable here at the mo - so, those who are here, where did you leave your posting boots? i hope they're insured! lol
and to those who're taking an unannounced sabbatical... get your arses back in here! i'm bored! biggrin
rotflmao stop it with the bloody pm's then, it wasnt a subtle hint, ya bastards lol
answer the damn questions lol
