I have coffee mugs that somehow absorb the coffee, or else increase evaporation beyond normal limits - leaving my mug empty and cold when I KNOW I have only drunk half of it.
I know! The surface of the coffee becomes an event horizon (a la Star Gate) and the coffee falls through. Leaving puddles of MY coffee all over the Universe.

Perhaps there is an alien coffee drinker in the Pegasus galaxy who swears blind that they have drunk all of their coffee only to find that it is ALWAYS full of cold coffee! :giggle:
Well, we know that travelling through unsynchronised gates makes you bloomin' cold. Proof. biggrin
And can be a bumpy ride especially if the path of the wormhole in question passes near a Blackhole lol
I was taught something like this when I was at Primary school in the early '80's.........
It was called a "Cycling proficiency test"
rolleyes
As Jas has said - It doesn't matter if a teacher is excellent at what they do if the pupil knows no discipline. If the child is not given discipline and knows nothing of right and wrong, then anything else taught to that child is wasted. The school I went to between 1984 and 1991 was average, but even the delinquents in my year knew exactly where the line they shouldn't cross was without any cane to be punished with. I was talking to someone on FB a while ago who was one of these and he had told me that he regretted being such an arse at school and indeed he has made sure that his children are behaved and takes an active interest in what they do at school.
Discipline like Charity begins at home.
Just to say - I found out what I was working that day and it is a late (as in I don't finish until 9pm) add to that I would need to get changed etc, I would not be able to get there until 10pm earliest. So it's a cautious yes to confirm
biggrin
To me Friday 13th is no different than any other day - shit happens or it don't. To be honest it wasn't until I got back home (about 4pm) that I realised the date  rolleyes
lol

Or to put it another way:
"I wanna be an op, I wanna be an op, I wanna be an op, I wanna be an op" don't make good ops.

Seems like I'm one of these then.
In my case though, my desire to be an OP again is mainly due to the fact that I have seen with my own eyes the havok that some people cause at stupid o'clock in the morning. As I tend to do a fair bit of my chatting between 10pm and 3-4 am (if I have been on a late shift and have a day off after or am on another late) I thought I might be able to help put a stop to it.
The reason I had to stop before was due to personal circumstances which has been explained to an OP in my PM to them asking to be put on the list of those considered. My record as an OP in the past is known to the powers that be, and whilst some may feel that I wasn't the best OP of the time, I stick by my record and if turned down this time will accept the decision made with good grace.

Robert Carlyle

OMG he is HOT!
You may want to start watching Stargate: Universe then, as he's one of the main characters lol
Put me on the reserve list if there is any room left Try biggrin
Ta :D
It loads a lot quicker, but seems a little cramped and the colours are a bit :scared:
I'll have to see if it grows on me lol
Mine stems from when I used to use WAP sites on my phone and of course it's an appreviated form of my favourite rock band (waits for Meaty to add a comment.... rolleyes )
I have changed my name a few times on other sites (not just swinging ones) and I'm not sure whether to change it here too, but every time I have changed it in the past, someone always objects (or ignores the fact I have changed my name) and calls me "Dlep" or "Dollop" anyway
lol
Cooooooooooooooffffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! lol
Although I have cut down recently, as I'd realised that I was drinking roughly 10 cups a day! I'm down to maybe one a day now. I rarely drink tea, to the point that besides the cup (mistakenly) given me when visiting a relative, I haven't drunk any tea for about 10 - 15 years....
I don't have any kids, but if I did I'd show them the original St Trinians films (I haven't seen the new one and I very much doubt I ever will rolleyes ), plus a lot of the ones mentioned above biggrin
Def Leppard's cover of "Action" originally by the Sweet
The Sweet's version :
Def Leppard version:
Apparently 3785 within 3 miles!
Like many others have said "Where the FECK are they all?"
rolleyes
lol
I'm a mixture of who I am on here (gobshite, shy, cheeky, sarcastic, scatterbrained, horny, geeky rolleyes ) to a greater or lesser degree.
Depends with whom I'm interacting I suppose..... dunno
Fubar and Mubar (Fucked/Mashed Up beyond All Recognition) was in regular use where I come from originally.
Haven't heard it used much where I live now though lol

Lots of goodies on the way after re launch lol

You wanna be careful !!
B and Q "one coat" can play havoc with the internal workings of ya computer
Not to mention the walls too rolleyes
*Vows never to buy B and Q own brand paint again...*
Been reading this for the last few hours - most of it is American Slang, but a few good UK specific ones turn up lol
Cheryl Cole - I think she looks good, but I really can't see what the fuss is about to be honest dunno

Ohm's Law for example (well, I can remember V=IR, but I can't remember the rest without using google rolleyes )

Here you are Dollop, just remember this

remember the positions of the letters, V at the top and I+R below the line and you can always work it out by using the horizontal line as a 'division' line
Hence
V=IxR as I&R are both below the division line
I=V/R as V is over R
R=V/I as V is also over I
Hope that makes sense, and should you ever need to work out power ratings just remember PIV (P=IxV) which is the calc i use more than anything to work out watts/amps loading wink
Ta biggrin
I have no practical use for remembering now, but when I was younger and elbow deep in circuit boards, Soldering irons and other geeky things I knew it by rote lol
I'm just surprised I could remember it at all

I do sometimes roleplay and wargame with miniatures and dice... should I admit to that on a forum where I might one day try to get laid?

I dabbled with all of that at one time. I have some Adeptus titanicus figures still lurking somewhere. I think these two realms do merge. I was into Fighting fantasy books, I played play by mail games like Quest plus In played Adeptus Titanicus Hero quest and a few others. There has to be link in those to me being huge fan of Phantasy star online and Final fantasy biggrin Ive only totaled one Final fantasy game but the only reason for that is lack of time. If I had the time sure Id total all of them.
I have Final fantasy X-2, I nearly finished it, but I stupidly deleted the save file
Knowing how long these take that must be a real pain in the arse sad
I haven't played on it for months. The PS2 is currently gathering dust at the other side of the room. I might spend an hour or two on it tomorrow..... Lady Yuna beckons lol

I've played Counterstrike... You've probably seen me, I'm the one who gets shot in the head within 4 seconds. Honest to god, it's so frustrating. I felt like the extra who got beamed down to the Mysterious planet with Mr Spock and Captain Kirk, wearing a different coloured jumper and who you knew would be dead within 30 seconds.

Never wear Red (unless you're Scotty - then you're safe lol ) or Yellow/Mustard from Next Generation onwards

I am crap at video games but I enjoy them a bit... it's just taken me two weeks of solid playing to beat Arkham Asylum on easy, and that's just the story bits - I haven't bothered looking for all the pick ups... I suck.

Perhaps not lol
I used to do a lot of both, mainly GW stuff (mind you it was a long time a go now), and I did buy the rules to "Firefly/Serenity", mainly as I'm a fan of the film and series, but I've never been able to convince anyone to play it rolleyes
