Thanks for the feedback again. I've updated the first post with fixes today. We're almost there I think. I'll be reviewing any newly reported bugs tomorrow.
Thanks to all those for the new feature suggestions also, we have a big list of stuff we want to do, and this will come quickly after we've launched the chat we have now.
We now have some serious load testing and cross browser compatibility checks to perform before we move onto launch.

Also when you hover over the tabs for help, setting etc, the function for each tab does not pop up briefly as they had done before

These bugs should have been fixed a few days back, are you using the desktop version? If so please launch it from the site once more time to get the latest version (you won't need to do this more than once from this point).

Another update is up. You will need to re-download the desktop version, for the last time, as the new version includes an auto updater.

HnS - We decided to send the user to lobby on a kick rather than disconnect them as we felt it was more appropriate action based on the severity of a kick. Should the user misbehave severely, then they will be banned. There is little gain disconnecting a user and letting them reconnect, so we removed this feature. With regards to op reports, in an upcoming version we do plan to have 'call and op' and 'report user' functions from within the chatroom, but this won't be for the first release.

Bug list updated, few fixes and improvements today.

HnS - Once we do the settings properly they will be stored SH side so will follow you around and remember all settings, i won't put this in the bug list now as it will be in for version 1.1.

jonojones - thats a very good point and we're always willing to work on accessibility. I believe we will end up with a 'high contrast' option for the chat, where users have the choice to view it in different colours.

First post updated with new fixes. Note if you use the desktop version you need to relaunch through the site to get the latest version, not through your desktop shortcut.

With regards to frozen animations - not much we can do about that one i don't think, they're simply animated gif's, if they got stuck its a browser display issue, maybe... never seen it happen before

I've updated my main post, with features we've taken on board and bugs fixed today. Including adding an 'Extra Large' font option.
With regards to the text formatting options, these won't be staying on, if we did that everyone would be constantly talking in bold, italic and underline, thus negating the entire point.

This message will not be displayed once we've come out of beta testing. The message is from the Adobe software warning you that you're installing software on your computer, as with any software, you need to be careful what you install.
The chat doesn't access your local files or leave any files on your computer, apart from itself obviously.
It installs on the computer and is available for anybody who uses it, but feel free to remove the short cuts from the start menu and desktop. It requires you to log into the chat each time its opened. We've just noticed it does mention 'Swinging Heaven' in the description of the chat, this will be removed and we will brand this as 'SH Chat' only, and use the SH logo which is quite anonymous.

May I ask from what to what? Then if it is changed again at a later date we'll know how much of a change it is.
I can't actually answer that, because i don't know. The problem we have is that although now (since the server move to London) we have the servers and the backbone connection to stream high definition video (if we wanted too) to everyone, we can't because the speed of peoples internet connections simply can't cope.
The fundamental problem is:
Peoples internet connections can't upload 'that' quick.
By increasing cam size and quality, framerate automatically drops because there is not enough upstream bandwidth available on that persons connection.
By decreasing cam quality we gain framerate, but at the cost of a more blocky image.
If i set the cam quality to high, and hope for the best, the users upstream internet connection then becomes saturated because we are trying to push too much video through, at that point important data which needs to go up gets slowed down, meaning browsing and normal chatroom use (text etc) also slows down.
I've tweaked again today, and i'm hoping i've got the perfect balance between quality and framerate. I've just bee on and tested, i had a good 10fps at this quality which seemed fairly decent.
My next problem is, i need to wait until the servers are under load tonight, to find out of the framerate issue is also affected by how busy it is, if thats the case we will order some more hardware and get it in asap.

2) Camera frame rate has been increased.
3) Chat 4 has been removed due to lack of use - this free's up more server resources for the rest of chat.
4) Camera sound is now working.
Please provide feedback in this thread regarding the camera quality and framerate over the next few days.

Text colours are now a range of 20 shades of nice colours
As for emoticons, the basics are there at the moment, the missing ones such as :cry etc are back.
We've stripped out the useless ones, ready to make way for some more relevant ones, which will be worked out and put in next week.
I think a good way to kick this off would be people put their top 5 choice of smilies in this thread, we will then see what, if any can be put in.

Hi,
It seems that some of your network hardware has blocked the server.
I would suggest you restart your router in the dining room, and what i can guess is an Virgin modem box near your tv.
Simply turn them off, wait 10 sec and turn them on again.
Let me know if that works.

I need to see a trace to the chat server from your accounts.
If you're on Windows XP or earlier:
Goto Start > Run
Type 'cmd' and press enter.
in the box that pops up, type:
tracert 5
Wait a few seconds until it says 'Trace Complete'
Next right click anywhere on the black, and goto 'Select All'
Hit enter on your keyboard.
Come to this thread start a reply, and right click in the message window and goto 'Paste'
This will paste the data into here and i can diagnose the issue.

bopeep - if the result timed out then you have a connection issue, something is blocking the ports needed for flash applications.
What isp are you with, i forget? Also any new security software or change of hardware that could have triggerd it?
maybe_me - if you passed, thats quite confusing, could you try a few times to see if you pass all of them over the space of 10 minutes or so.
