We know your post was not meant to insult, we do not believe that anyone who has posted a name and shame on here has meant it in that way. We know it has a comic value and it has a function in that someone may think twice before posting a stupid insult like the one you outline.
However, we feel that this is dangerous territory, it won't take these plonkers long to start posting to the thread with imaginary posts and our name, your name or even Mals attached.
It begins the rot, spreads distrust and soon the site is full of suspicion and loses its genuine role. Take for example the idiots in the chatroom who pm you without asking, you ask them not to and within seconds of being warned they are then accusing you or someone else of pm'ing them! If it happens there, we can be sure it will happen here.
Many of the one liners are actually traditional swinging fair. Before the advent of internet swingers sites we had to use contact mags, the ads were 10 or 12 WORDS long if you were lucky and correspondence would then have to develop. No meet for tonight..lol...not with the postal service anyway!!!
Ok, we agree we want to keep the plonkers away, but naming and shaming is dangerous in many ways, we feel. It is so open to abuse. Why all the effort to write the advice sections, for all the work the Mods do etc. etc, lets just have a name and shame section, ..those who didn't attend meets, those who lied to you etc...if it was wrong in the Mods eyes previously, how does that make this right?
This feels too much like the playground, if we aren't adult enough to spot and deal with the idiots on the threads and through the moderation team then what are we saying to those types? We are showing ourselves to be functioning on the same level.
Now, if this thread had been what silly, obnoxious or downright stupid ads have you seen...without naming..then it would have been quite a funny thread.

This site has a doggers section, how different is that activity compared to the one line merchants expecting a shag just cos its a swingers site? You don't necessarily exchange emails, pics, phone calls when you go dogging, sometimes I guess it just happens and sex with strangers occurs...maybe thats enough info for some people.
Surely there is room for all, if people turn out to be real idiots who abuse the site or its members then the Mods and admin have the necessary powers, this just smacks of superiority complex and is more than off-putting to those who might just be dipping their toes in the swinging pool.
We do not wish to put our names to this as swingers or members of this site. Is this a new site policy? It seems to go against the grain that Mark has established.

As to a type of music a person enjoys telling something about that person, I'm not so sure after all not many Right Said Fred appreciators also like Napalm Death...yet I have both in my collection. What does that tell you about me? I would say that I am an open minded appreciator of music, but when I know I don't like something I really don't like it.
ColdPlay's Parachutes was once in my collection for a brief period, then it did a great deed and went to the Salvation Army Shop...I don't know if provided any Salvation for being sold for 50p but it certainly gave my ears great salvation!!!!!

Now I look again, still awaiting, but to no avail!
Then I recalled, I bet copy has to be in by this time in the afternoon, maybe the promised story was too difficult to obtain? Still, the one being made up now about Gareth Gates is bound to be as big as any swingers one!!!

As for who runs it. I am proud to say we are one of the very few sites out there that is actually REALLY 'run by swingers for swingers'. There's a whole host of people who manage/run the site. I just try to make sure that it keeps working etc. (call me code monkey man if you like). So, the whoever runs this site is, well, a large list of people who you'll see around and about if you stick around long enough yourselves :)

As you are a newbie you lack any appreciation of how hard the Admin, Mods and SysOps had to work last week in order that we kept our free adult community. People are merely wary of newcomers as the influx last week made them rightly so. Had you taken the time to explore the site, to become a little more knowledgable about it and read some of the threads in the Cafe, I doubt very much you would have needed to ask any questions.
We read the Forum for over a month before we registered and started joining in, we thus had an idea of not only what went on, but of the rules, the characters who inhabit the depths of the forum and that sometimes things get heated, things are misread, people have the piss ripped out of them, banter goes back and forth etc. Had you done somthing similar, you would have seen the reason for my comment and the tongue in cheek nature of the post.
Point in question: the Conspiracy Theory... had you trawled through the not too distant threads you would have found a couple of threads where such ideas were being expressed. I seem to recall I roundly dismissed some of them, thus saying as much as I loved a conspiracy theory most were and are non starters. It was a joke that many members would have appreciated.
Sorry, I can often come over as sarcastic, maybe wind people up, express my opinions too strongly, but I never abuse them and if I am wrong I will say so and apologise, but in this instance I feel I am at least partially right. You may not be a journo, but your insult demonstrates to me that you are happy to function on that level.
