Not many blokes went with the women there, and when I say they had names like "The Yellow Submarine" you might guess why, most were definate 'double baggers' (one for her, and one for you - in case hers fell off!) - there were an awfull lot of sheep though

And bloody penguins!
I was stupid enough to end up there 6 bloody times! - Somebody decided they did not like me one little bit.
Know what you mean about the women though - definite signs of "Deliverance" there - Everytime I looked at one I could here a banjo playing in the back of my mind...
deedle dlang dlang dlang! (Best I could do for a banjo!)
Fred
I went for the second option..
Why?
Well because there is too much of an expectation to the first because it is not on neutral territiory. Some things never work out as planned and if planned they always feel a little staged and rigid. If you go out see a show and enjoy the evening then you have had a great evening..
Anything else is just a bonus..... but at least without that you will still have had a great night.
Only a personal thought..

Fred
I got sent this today and thought it was funny!
The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get in the end? A death. What's that - A Bonus?!?!
The Life cycle is all backwards. You should die first. Then you go to live in an old age home. You get kicked out for being too healthy and go collect your persion.
Then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You then work for 40 years until you are young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink far too much alcohol, you party, stay up late and get ready for school.
You then go to secondary and primary school, become a kid, you play and have no responsibilities. You then become a little baby, you go back and spend your last 9 months floating with luxuries like central heating, Spa, Room Service on tap.
Finally you finish off as an Orgasm!!!!
Amen.

Whilst I am mentioning the word contagious.........
A teacher asks her class to use the word 'contagious'.
Roland, the class swot, stands up and says, "Last year I got the measles and my mum said it was very contagious."
Then Katie, a sweet little girl with pigtails, stands up and says, "My grandma says that flu is going around and it's contagious."
Finally, little Johnny jumps up and shouts, "Our next door neighbour's painting his house with a two-inch brush and my dad says it will take the contagious."
Fred
Or how about Ascension Island?
2500 fellas and only 20 women - for 6 month tours of duty.
Some of the guys were really really really lucky and met someone in the first month and spent their whole tour together...................
That is as much as I am telling you!

worship :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
What a series!Tomkinsons's Schooldays
Golden Gordon
Escape from Stalag Luft 112B
Whinfrey's Last Case
The Testing of Eric Olthwaite
The Curse of the Claw
Murder at Moorstone Manor
Roger of the Raj
Across the Andes by FrogWritten by Michael Palin and Terry Jones and starring Michael Palin (Terry Jones only appeared in Tomkinson's Schooldays).
First transmitted in January 1976 on BBC2.
They were released on BBC video in 1990.
Part of Goldon Gordon reappeared in "Round the world in 80 days" as the football team on Michael Palin's T shirt!
I am sooooo glad you mentioned them. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Wilma will be so mad you did! She hates Python and Ripping Yarns! :sparring: :sparring: :sparring: :sparring:
Off to watch one of the videos again! hehehehehehe

Make sure he has his socks off to help him count as well!
Oh...
And no decimal points allowed! rolleyes
Fred
You'll do Bassdude!
Have you seconded for Will before?
No....
Ok some rules for you.....
Don't laugh at his tights and ruffles before a fight - it upsets him
Do admire his gloves - he likes showing them off - I am beginning to think he is the Imelda Marcos of the glove fetish world
Do tell him if he cuts himself playing with the sword before the fight - he hates the opponent to see claret BEFORE the fight has started
Don't cheer his opponent on once the fight has started - he sulks and stops the fight and takes his swords off everyone and goes home
Don't start a book or a sweepstake on how long it takes him to get cut - he always picks the longest time - always loses - and never pays up claiming that there was a technicality that caused him to loose his bet
Hope this helps - and good luck! rolleyes
Fred
Just thought of one I am going to go and dig out and watch again for the first time in ages.....
The Killing Fields - one of the most poignant films I know.....
Damn - there goes my top 10! confused
Fred
What has made me really laugh about this thred is all the different approaches - from those who ask why certain films are not in the top 10 - (because it is MY top 10 - post your own! wink ) to those who have no self control and who post a top 10 more like a top 100 with honourable mentions for every film they ever saw! WILL!
Then there are those that have to say something about every film like a commentary!
The nervous one who think scorn will be heaped upon their head for picking a really naff film!
I am not complaining or being judgemental - I just love to see the different approaches people have had.
My top 10 has changed today - which is the good thing about this thread - people will now go off and trawl their videos and DVD's to find the oft forgotten film that they watched to death years ago!
Think I will post my Animation (certificate U) top 10!
1.) Ice Age
2.) Shrek
3.) Muppet Trasure Island
4.) Chicken Run
5.) The Jungle Book
6.) Monsters Inc.
7.) Aladdin
8.) Bugs Life
9.) Brother Bear
10.) The Iron Giant
Fred
Now you have wound me up!
Who set you up to wind me up or is this a wind up of your own to wind me up and not wind up the girlies even though you said you would wind them up. Maybe it was the girlies who set you up to wind me up and the act of winding me up has led you to be wound up as well?
Has this wound you up now?
EH? confused :? :?
I done nuffink!
FFS Bassdude - you just have to mention my name and I'm in trouble again! confused
Two more I heard today for the first time in years.
Just had to add them
Liquormortice - The disease that prevents you from getting out of bed the morning after the night before!
Milk of Amnesia - The preperation responsible for the onset of Liquormortice!
Oldies but goodies!

I wondered why I had been trouble free (relatively speaking) for the last few weeks!
Go on! Bugger off again! wink
Oh - stop snivelling - I didn't mean it - welcome back! rolleyes
Fred
One suggestion here - copy all the important stuff off the pc onto Steves or a CD - then restore the PC using the factory restore CD that came with the machine. Then reinstall all the stuff you need again and then create a ghost image onto Steves machine so it only takes you a few minutes to get back to that point if you ever bugger it again.
Fred
Artificer,
Witness was nearly there for me - but not quite! - On another day it would have been along with Apollo 13 and The Greem Mile - good ones Fun365!
Apart from that and One flew... - not seen any of the others you mentioned! redface
Bit of a loss at films me really!
Fred
Sunday teatime - sitting down to watch Black Beauty whilst eating salmon (tinned!) and cucumber sandwiches - bags of crisps you had to put your whole arm in to get to the bottom of and me mums chocolate cake for afters - all round the coffee table in the lounge - the only time of the week we were allowed food in the lounge or not to sit to the table in the dining room!
Fred
Someone mentioned Ryuichi Sakamoto's haunting melody for Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence in another thread and got me to thinking about my favorite films. Not the oldies or just classics but just the 10 films I would take into a room and watch if I had to do nothing for 24 hours! There are many I had to miss off - it was really difficult to pick just 10 and probably if I was in a light hearted mood some classic comedy ones would have been in there. But having just listened to "The Friends of Mr Cairo" I am in a mellow and reflective mood!
So here are my Top 10 - in order..1.) Bladerunner – Directors Cut
2.) Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence
3.) Juggernaut
4.) Midnight Express
5.) Patch Adams
6.) Awakenings
7.) Good Will Hunting
8.) Hunt for Red October
9.) Gorky Park
10.) A Few Good Men
