No, my avatar is just a generic griffin picture I picked up somewhere.
I would have used "Griffin" as my user name for most things but that's generally already been taken so I opted for the older variant of the spelling. I just think they are one of the more interesting mythical beasts and it's quite a unique, recognisable identity.
Yup, it's the really silly programme with Humphrey Lyttleton - I love it, it's just SO my sense of humour - and the BBC, in their generosity have put it on the web so we can catch it any time of the week! Bloody marvellous!

Embarasingly, I too must admit that I also (in a loft somewhere!) have a copy of the 7" single of Marvin the Paranoid Android performing "Reasons to be Miserable" ...!

I've wandered through the forum and the chatroom and you guys are a lot of fun - there are some very witty people around here! It's good to know that there's more of a spirit of community and fun about the place rather than just the sleazy shag-hunters!
My apologies to all for not having set up an ad yet - I kinda just wanted to get to know the place a bit first! Serious question (and I apologise if this has been covered before - point me to the right thread if it has!) but how did you all feel when it came to posting your ads, especially pictures? You all seem like genuine fun people but there must be concerns about having your details hijacked or getting stuff you don't want from ghost ads?
Am I just being over-cautious or even paranoid? You all seem pretty comfortable with this place - which is a good sign! - how many of you actually know each other personally or are many of the relationships here just virtual?!
