And as a previous poster said, this forum is sometimes sickly with the declarations of love you see from time to time (and I'm one of the worst offenders!)

You know, I started this thread and I've been so busy I've not had a chance to get back to it. But I shall in due course read all the pages - promise! 
I did have a chance to read Neil's wonderful defence of the attack on single males...
for Neil.
Sadly, it only takes one or two single male dickheads to do their stuff and ALL single males get tarred with the same brush. That simply isn't fair! I've met some wonderful, thoughtful single males who are single BY CHOICE and good luck to them!
It is odd, is it not, that in some parts a 30 something single woman is deemed to be concentrating on her career, and a 30 something single guy is a loser who can't pull... Odd world we live in.
Anyroad, I'm off to track back and reread and see if any of this helps me with my own thoughts...

We've had this one before, but I thought it was time to talk again about this is the light of a lot of recent posts in the Lets Meet Up forum.
So what does swinging mean?
When I was single, swinging was a way to find friends who I could have sex with without the complications of romance, etc. Now that I'm no longer single, my thinking has shifted somewhat as I no longer have a need to find sex. In fact, for the first time I'm thinking hard about WHY I want to swing.
A lot of the newer Lets Meet Up posters seem to view swinging as a way to easy sex and nothing more. I even saw one poster use to word 'score' as part of a post in much the same context that young men speak of when trying to pick up girls in a vanilla environment. I always thought it should mean more than that...
I am genuinely not sure anymore, so what do others think?

It's a difficult call...
This is the kind of thread that rapidly decends into personal stuff because that's the very nature of it. Lock it and we get accused of stiffling debate, leave it open and it just spirals downwards...
It's always a shame when personal stuff spills over into public forums. Nothing will ever get truly sorted in this way.
But I'm sure us Mods will be prepared to bash as many heads as it takes.... :twisted:
