Thankfully cos it is an op rule it's down to the active op/ops to decide on how to enforce the topic rule. Normally there isn't a problem... It's there to stop a group of people ..say football fans on sat afternoon.... taking over the whole room with the subject....but it can be used as it is to kill the verification topic after one line in the room if the ops dont want any debating on verification and from the posts it dont take a genius to work out they dont .... As i keep on saying... this is the only place where you have free ( slightly moderated :P ) speech...

The idling rule is an op rule more than a SH rule.... it's initiated if you idle for an hour or so... constant logging in and never typing a line will get you noticed and raise alarms.... Why is this person sitting in the room and never ever saying anything...it's obvious they are at there kb cos they re-log in...So then you have to surmise the person is not there to chat but to either collate information or for other devious reasons.
As for having your say in the chatroom... That isn't the place. Rules are strict and the topic locked. Veer from the topic of swinging and you're nudged with a " this is a swinging chatroom please keep to that topic". ( I.E. football cars bingo ) As this is more about admin and new structuring of the room I can't see this being allowed to happen in the chatroom.
Finally the comment that cos 4 or so people ( who are a + ) are happy with it, so everyone should end this post is ludicrous... Sounds to me you want this hushed up ASAP so that you few don't lose your + if it's scrapped.
Whatever the right or wrongs of this new scheme ... I repeat this. We have the right to have an opinion and voice it ...... I'm not arsed about the + now. I was never against it just against a few of the ways it's been initiated... but I am bothered that some people want to squash this thread.

cos i'm probably in the same boat as you I think without a doubt I am known to all in the chatroom as "genuine" and I've already gone through the list of what i've done and who I've done it with..... and I too aint a +
The reason i wasn't automatically given one is cos i stood down from opping as the list was being made and as I was an op it would of been down to me to make a start up list of peeps I knew to be genuine... so as I've stood down without making a list the op we had played with would have had no reason to put me on the list cos she wouldn't have known till it was too late... once monday came no ops can nominate for 3 months... so i'm told... no one has anyway of knowing or verifiying that i suspect.
So luckily i have a choice and so far I've turned down about 9 offers of the + while i was watching this thread continue..... 2 things have stopped me accepting it so far... one was the attitude and domineering response given to genuine peoples comments in a post in here and the second Little's post she really made it very clear... great post Little xxxxx
I've had MMF with straight guys off SH ..... in fact if we'd delved deeper some might have been Bi.... the Bi part only matters if the male of the couple is that way inclined. I can say though that i've talked to many many couples who play with singles and its a generally accepted saying that bi guys are better at MMF as they are more relaxed with the other man they dont knee jerk at skin contact and are quiet happy to get into some very horny positions on a girl without freaking the other guy's nuts are slapping his head. :shock:

you are registered but not activated ..... the general reason for this is that the email from SH went directly to your junk mail.
you can if you type in your nickname and no password enter the network and then you can either type /join #starchat for assistance in getting another validation number or if you think you would rather start again you can type /join #shhelp and if anyone is in there they will take you through the registration process.
a few notes....
if you dont activate because say you wrote the wrong email address then the activation number become invalid if not used after a certain time ( i think 12 days )
If you havn't used your nickname in 30 days it will de-activate...
you cannot use bnc.
you maybe able to log in during the day without being a member or having a password...this is due to one of two reasons.... Either the ops have taken the lock off the room and opened the doors to all ...... usually only in the day till 9pm. and the other reason ends up with the same result. once the door is locked only members can get in and them that are in as guests will be enticed to join or leave.

you need a valid email address and you need to check the junk mail too and a password you wont forget
so thats..
/nsREGISTEREmailAddressPassword
when you get the email type this..
/ns ACTIVATE number
the number being the one in the email.
then you just type this..
/join #swingingheaven
or just relog in and after that use the nick and password you've registered.
