Sod off Jon. The real reason was you tripped over Bilko's zimmer, spilled your coffee over the server and fucked it up, isn't it? flipa
:giggle:

I am unable to comment on that statement as I might incriminate myself (or Sgt. Bilko!)  lol
I know what happened - ner ner na ner ner! lol
The real reason is technical - the session server fell over, and it's restart script failed - the pretend reason was to allow people to experience a couple of hours of real life for a change

Jon i can see where flower411 is coming from, we ourselves have been in rooms that have been closed due to having no host and they have been running smoothly with no abuse etc and the first we all knew the room/s had no host was when the chatroom op said so, i think the quote you posted above should be changed from "may be closed" to "will be closed" as its very confusing to me and probably others who read it, like you said later in your reply they will be closed ASAP as the ops are very busy so stating this clearly in the rules themselves would make everyone that reads them understand what they mean. smile

I think it's in the interpretation - by saying
If you leave that room it is then classed as being unhosted and may be closed by a Chatroom Op as there will be nobody there to control the room.

I read it as Ops may (as in have permission to) close rooms. Not that the room may (might) be closed.
Either way, it is standard operating procedure for Ops to close rooms where the host has left - otherwise we'll wind up with umpteen hundreds of rooms open and total anarchy.
Hope that clears it up for you.
Quote by anais
Does anyone know how to open the room?
xax

Go into any chat room, top right (just under cams list) is New Room button, just next to the Join button - click on it and fill out the details..........make sure you join the new room sharpish or it'll close.......
Oh, and by the way, the text we use states 30 seconds, which as has been pointed out, is ample time - any longer and people keep joining the room and miss the message, and it just goes on and on.
*Sorry guys this room is about to close as the host is not in it. Please join another room within the next 30 SECONDS before the server boots you out or you will have to wait for 5 minutes before you can log in again. Thank you.*

And the wording is far from rude too.

we often host a room and we occasionally tell the people in an unhosted room that we are about to open our own.
we try to be polite and find that in 99% of cases this works and we rarely have to kick people ... they usually leave of there own accord !!
there have been notable exceptions !!!!
It seems that sh policy says that all users should be polite to each other.
Is it polite for somebody to come into an unhosted room and tell the occupants that it will be closed in 20 seconds !!
Most of the people in the room are probably unaware that there is no room owner as we have no way of knowing !!
This is a serious question and i`m a bit nervous asking cos i know the consequences of upsetting people
But i found it downright rude !!!!

You have not read this post then http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/swingers-forum/viewtopic/77907.html and this is also reiterated in the site rules - just in case, heres a quote :-
If you open a room, you are the Host of that room and as such, you are expected to uphold the Chatroom rules. Chatroom Ops will pop into your room to ensure that there are no problems. If there is something you aren't sure of please feel free to ask them.
If you leave that room it is then classed as being unhosted and may be closed by a Chatroom Op as there will be nobody there to control the room.
If you have finished with a room please ask an Op or Admin to close the room for you.

Ops are very busy, and need to get around as many rooms as possible to check all is well, so closing rooms is done ASAP to enable us to keep an eye on ALL the rooms.
Nowt rude about it, just tidying up and adhering to site policy.
The ability for Ops to send lethal electric shocks via users keyboards would be handy rolleyes

...is anyone else having problems in this forum with HTML codes? I've been trying to use the List= button on a few posts but it shows as "text" rather than creating a list.
HTML isn't disabled in my settings and it works fine in the other forums.
blink

I would hazard a guess that as html code in forum posts leaves them open to exploits, that the site has html turned off - most forums do.

I cant be arsed with this. I recall a conversation as a newbie over coffee 12 months ago, slating someone for 'defending ' the forum (and the site generally) because at that time I couldnt see the point. I now understand exactly why people defend it, but no longer want any part of it.

It has been provided as it was felt that there needed to be a place for Chatroom Users to leave messages, for each other and for admin.
oh feck how confused am i lol rolleyes

I guess the admin part means problems with the actual chatroom, not the users....
Yup, abuse goes through the usual channels, as Sarge stated - naming and shaming is not allowed ANYWHERE in the site.

Change the last numbers in the url = http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/members/gallery.html?n=2&type=54321 the higher the number the older the pictures
It's because too many blokes think it's their RIGHT to be given a show, and that they can do as they like, and hassle who they like while dogging, after all - dogging is for THEIR enjoyment rolleyes ........................ not the couples

This is a place dedicated to all matters concerning the Video Chatroom, whether they are good comments or bad. It is not another Cafe, nor is it a slow-motion Chatroom. General discussion for all things related to the swingers chatroom. Use The Cafe for general chit-chat, this forum is specifically for the video chat room.

And all those people giving it "this will just make a bigger divide between chatroom and forum peeps" - I suggest asking yourself a question - What divide? - is it YOUR peception and attitude that makes this so called divide?
Fuck me, you moan if chatters DARE to post in the (Cafe) forum, and now there is a forum for chatters, thats fuckin' wrong as well mad banghead :banghead: - as far as I'm concerned, it's been a long time in coming, well done Admin!

So we just stand back and take it.......

That would be more honourable and dignified than going in all guns blazing, yes. And a whole lot safer for our nation, in the long run.
If we fight back, we are as bad as the terrorists, if not worse - 67 killed in the Twin Towers? How many innocent people have the British Armed Forces killed this year alone, I wonder, in the name of peace?
How many children in this country have been bombed this year?
How would you feel if the UK Government decided to make us all sign up to fight? Would you be happy for your children to be given guns and sent to fight - in the name of peace - - because some terrorists dared to attack our green and pleasant lands?
This roundabout you list as your location - is a fucking magic one? Because your statements are pure fucking comedy!
I am an ex Royal Marine, my brothers (3) were also Royal Marines, and one went on to the foriegn legion serving in the 2em REP in Lebanon, Chad and Djouboti (sp) amongst other places. My son also served in the armed forces. Most of the male members of my family have served in the armed forces for several generations (like the last 200 years).
I (and my brothers) served in Ulster and the Falklands, as well as UN duties in Cyprus, Former Rhodesia and several west African states amongst others. My Son served in the Balkans.
Some of my very best friends died so people like you can live the life you choose, and I'm sure the remainder of the armed forces will have nothing but good words to say about people with attitudes like yours, especially while their oppos are being killed amd maimed about them, while serving with inadequate support and equipment..
Sit back and take it - yeah fucking right, let any terrorist organisation from PETA to Al Qada do as they wish - how many dead and maimed do you want the population to suffer before we do anything about it?
What a load of arse.
I just wish I could say what I REALY think about your posts. mad
