That's only because the drains have finally become blocked. I told them to use the shredder first, get the bits down to a more manageable size, but no-one ever listens rolleyes
It's a mixed bag. I don't think any of these artists fit that description:
# Chris Martin
# Sir Paul McCartney (bass guitar)
# Bob Geldof
# Midge Ure
# Radiohead
# Bono
# The Thrills
# Beverley Knight
# Damon Albarn
# The Divine Comedy
Less sure about some of the others though :
# Robbie Williams
# Daniel Bedingfield (can someone please explain to me what he's for ? Other than rapidly becoming the fattest man in pop confused)
# Natasha Bedingfield
# Will Young
# Busted
# Dizzee Rascal
# Sugababes
# Rachel Stevens
# Estelle

The 'lyric' if that's what you can call it, shows no respect to women at all, and typifies the attitude of so many of the young in certain social and ethnic groups these days, to think of women as no more than a piece of meat to have their way with.

To combat sexism, apply racism. It's an interesting approach rolleyes
Wu Tang produced some of the classic rap tracks, unfortunately ODB wasn't exactly good at avoiding the pitfalls sad RIP
The way I felt about this topic yesterday is very different to how I feel about it today.
For those who think 'it's just the internet' - ask yourself this: is there a single person here whose opinion could get inside your skin if you met them in person ? If the answer is yes, whether that's because you like them, or you hate their guts, then you need to accept that there's a bit more to this than simple chit-chat or, and trust me on this, if and when you do meet them in person, you're lining yourself up for one hell of a shock.

On this very site we see the likes of these men called freedom fighters and at the same time countries whose democratically elected representatives choose to defend themselves described as some form of despot just because the support of their countrymen and allies allows them the power to do so .

I think it's entirely possible to believe that there are freedom fighters acting outside the boundaries of generally acceptable practice and legitimitely elected politicians behaving despotically. Nelson Mandela personally carried out acts of terrorism, but few would doubt that the long term result was positive.
However, in failing to move from violent action to political settlement when the opportunity presented itself I think Arafat showed himself to be a violent force of resistance, part of the problem, not part of the solution and that the argument that he was nothing more than a terrorist therefore carries a lot of weight.

this cant be a serious thread..............can it ?

Stop flaunting your crotch in my face, yes this is a serious thread.
The question is, should we just dispose of the unfortunate in our community or should we work with them to help them through their problems?
(See , the man who must not be mentioned, theres compassion!!!)
I really struggle to believe that you're serious confused
Yes, of course we should help the unfortunate. Virtually everyone here has made a tit of themselves at some point. They don't get told to f'off, they get told 'you're making a tit of yourself' and allowed to move on. If they can't move on, it's not the job of the forum to provide them with a place of safety whilst they aggravate everyone else and make the mods' lives miserable, with their inane attention seeking.
Virtually all of us feel sympathy and express concern to those suffering real problems, be they in terms of health or personal problems, but this guy was trolling from his first post, looking only for attention and negative reaction, and goading all and sundry. Life's too short to worry about whether he's a troll or mentally unbalanced, if everyone who behaves like that is treated with kid gloves we'll descend into chaos.
FWIW I wholeheartedly support the bannination* and have no desire to see him back.
*Yes, I spend too much time reading Fark redface

One night to go !!
I dunno about anyone else, but given that there'll be 100+ people, none of whom I've ever met before, I'm absolutely bricking it
Sadly two of the people I was hoping to meet (hilarious and gorgeous respectively) seem to have left us sad

Chicago - "If You Leave Me Now"
Who ? What ??
The other results, on the other hand, rock biggrin:D:D
The Number 1 album was:
Led Zeppelin - "The Song Remains The Same"
Born on ######:
1946 - Roy Wood ( guitarist, lead vocalist, The Move / Wizzard )
1949 - Bonnie Raitt
1957 - Porl Thompson ( guitarist, The Cure )
I like my IPaq, the user support on the 'net is excellent and there are a lot of available hardware and software additions, but the Tungsten E will sync with Outlook and produce Excel and Word compatible files and the other features are similar to the IPAQ RX1710, all for £60 less.

The logic of children
You can't argue with it can you?

I caught my neighbour's four year old playing on the front lawn. No problem, except that it's covered in mushrooms.
'Hello ###, what are you doing ?'
"Just playing"
'OK, but don't touch the mushrooms, some of them are poisonous'
"I know, but the big ones are alright'
'Yes, the big ones you get from Sainsbury's are nice to eat, but not the ones in the lawn'
"Yes, that's right smile"
several minutes later comes a knock on the door. I open it, to be met by a very confused and slightly worried looking little girl -
'What about the ones from Tesco ?'
